has a good feature that opens the door and end of cycle allowing the dishes to air-dry whilst they are still hot.

I Hate my Smag Diswaher – Every time you pull the top tray out, to add glasses/mugs ect all the glasses fall over!! Not a good design at all!!! Show details

Poor quality and product failure – After a significant amount of research I purchased the Smeg 60cm Universae Freestanding Dishwasher DWA6315X3 on 23 July 2021. baskets when they were empty, they were really unsteady as I pulled them in and out.

The fittings around the hoses were plastic and not brass. The flexibility of baskets was poor, especially the top 2 due to the design. For example, a small bread plate would not fit in the middle basket as it hits the top basket. Cooking utensils ( spatula and mixing spoon didn't fit in the top cutlery basket due to the depth of the basket. I expected better quality in terms of build and design when you consider the cost of this dishwasher.

This dishwasher also failed on first use with a 06 error code. The Dishwasher leaked every where and a significant amount of residual water did not drain after first cycle. We troubleshooted, checked water pump and filter but issue still remained when we proceeded with a second cycle.

The issue was not resolved and fortunately I was able to return back to the retailer for a full refund. Due to Covid 19 outbreak i did not want a service call scheduled and approval was given for a return and refund.

I have since purchased the new Miele G7 dishwasher as stock just became available (was my first choice was was initially out of stock). We have now installed and no issues at all. The quality and design of the Miele is 100% better compared to the Smeg and the features are a step above the Smeg. I would not recommend Smeg at all. While I had to stretch the budget that little bit more, I was happy to do that for a premium dishwasher.
