If you love to cook then you’ll love this oven – I have had my oven for two years now and I love everything about it. Yes, the controls took some time to wrap my head around initially but it’s a fabulous oven. The food cooks evenly, the proofing setting is brilliant for bread/rolls etc, pizzas turn out perfect and just generally worth every cent. the oven itself is outstanding, compared to the Ilve I endured for 18 years beforehand. The cooktop in terms of function and strength of burners is excellent. There are however, two major flaws. The basic trivet that sits on the cooktop is too thin and warps, doming upwards, making your pots, or the separate wok trivet that sits on the wok burner, wobble. The degree of doming varies with the size of the burner, ie heat produced. I have had these replaced once under warranty, but I will just have to put up with it from now on. The second issue is that the wok burner will not stay alight without the extra wok trivet (checked with service agent and surprisingly no it won't). It means that as well as your pots wobbling on the trivet, larger pots are a little unstable as only supported on four of the trivet's tips If these two faults were corrected, a more solid main trivet, and not needing the extra wok trivet on the wok burner, this would be a solid 5 stars! Despite all of this, I would still buy this oven again, as overall it is very very good, but not perfect, and hopefully it will be fixed by the time I need it!

than 2 weeks old. SMEG Service has been poor, I have now been 4 days without the use of my oven and I have 6 people in my home. Don’t waste your money on poor quality and poor customer service.
