Received a used Skis – The skis we receive looks like it's a second hand one, it was covered with deep scratches and rust. Very disappointed

Don't buy your ski boots here – Before coming to this store I gave them a call and asked if I need to book an appointment with a boot fitter, they replied "Nope, you just need to come in and a staff member will help you out." I never purchased boots before and didn't know much about the process so I thought this was fine. It's not, make sure you go to an actual boot fitter when buying ski boots.

Once at the shop (a young) sales assistant was helping me out with the boots. Basically I was pointing at the boots I liked and he was bringing them out. He didn't measure my foot and wasn't giving me any "advice" (in hindsight I was an idiot for not walking out at this point). I purchased a pair of boots that were comfortable at a decent price for Australia. Online they were still around $200 cheaper without the shipping costs.

After skiing for a couple of days I realised that the boot was loose and I am on my last buckles. Remember kids your foot warms up the boot fairly quickly and it expands. I thought I'll get them adjusted and made an appointment with an actual boot fitter in Jindy.

The boot fitter straight away told me that it's fairly hard to do anything for ones that are too big. She measured my foot: height, width, circumference of ankles, traced it and even asked about my blisters (sorry for the imagery). After I got my (proper skiing) foot size; my boots turned out to be one size too big for me. She added some padding to the inner layer and raised the heel (but said this won't be enough and it wasn't).

Upon returning to Sydney I contacted SnowSkiersSnowboardersWarehouse trying to get them to exchange the boots. They told me to come in to get them adjusted, when I informed them that they've already been adjusted, they didn't bother replying. Pretty poor service considering I spent over $600 in their store.

Handy tips when purchasing ski boots (gotten from a boot fitter):

1. Go to an actual boot fitter.

2. Once you put on a boot bang your heel fairly hard so it moves back as much as possible.

3. Make sure the toes are touching the wall of the boot when you're standing up straight. They'll move back when you're in skiing position.

4. Wear thin woollen socks.

5. Go to an actual boot fitter. decent prices for australia non-experienced boot fitters
