Snuza Pico

Finally some sleep – This thing is just the best investment ever. Honestly, it really is. Our 4 week old baby stopped breathing, ambulance, hospital stay, unexplained absence of breathing... Snuza Pico is the only reason we sleep. It is currently ticking away next to me, and the sound is so soothing. Easily attaches to bubs nappy, I attach it to her front, right to… Read more
the side and it works perfectly, also works better with a onsie than top and bottoms, I suggest tucking shirt into pants if you go this route as clothes can get in the way of the monitor. Turn on and off with my phone from the very easy to use app, monitoring her breathing rate, temperature, sleep state and position, you can set your own alarm boundaries, you can chart their temp, breathing, position and sleep state all from the app.
It has alarmed a few times for her not breathing, so I can tell you its definitely worth the investment. She's nearly 6 months old now, and we will definitely be using Pico for a long time to come.
This Pico has also roused her a dozen times when she had no movement for 15 seconds. Very long battery life, easy click in charging in the secure charging unit. I bought hers second hand, and it is ticking on no worries.can be used without the app too. One downside (if there is one) is that the connection is soft, it can drop out easily, but links back up asap.
Worth every cent! – This is without a doubt the best item we bought for our babies. From the minute I put it on her nappy I instantly slept better (well as much as a new Mum can get lol). The main reason I bought it over the cot pads was that I could take it anywhere with me. It’s so small that it’s not invasive on the nappy and the app is easy to navigate. It has an… Read more
alarm if they stop breathing or roll etc. We had a few false alarms go off for when it had lost contact with her body which only proved that it was working. I loved that you could see a read out in the morning of their sleep patterns and body temps which helped me alter how many blankets I put on. This is a great, easy to use product that gets a big 5 stars from me.
Couldn’t live without it! 10/10 best baby product – We bought the Snuza Pico shortly after my daughter was born to monitor her breathing rate. It’s super easy to use, set up and the app is great. I was very impressed when I got this device and its my favourite must have baby item. We use it every single night and I can sleep peacefully knowing that if anything occurs i.e stops breathing, high or… Read more
low breathing rate, high or low temperature, rolls onto her sides or tummy I am notified! It’s a life changer! You can adjust all the settings and choose notifications to your preference. Now my daughter is 6months old and constantly rolling onto her stomach I can monitor to ensure she is breathing safely. This device, if used properly and functioning properly will stop SIDS.
My snuza pico has been very reliable, I haven’t had any issues. I test it regularly to make sure the alarm will go off incase of stopped or no breathing. It’s extremely accurate when the breathing lowers or when baby rolls into a difference position. The connection with my app has never dropped out, I always keep the phone in the room with us. And if I don’t connect the app I can confirm the snuza pico will still work - if the baby stops breathing the alarm will go off.
I do know the temperature gauge is out by 1 degree Celsius. It will say 35 degrees and on a proper temperature reader it will say 36 degrees. Also sometimes when I turn the Snuza pico on, it takes about 30 seconds for the actual correct breathing rate to register. These aren’t issues for me considering all the benefits it does.
It is a small device, I have dropped it accidentally on the floor and it hasn’t damaged it.
I can’t imagine life without our snuza pico! My husband and I both agree it’s definitely a must have and we couldn’t sleep one night without it. I have complete peace of mind knowing my baby is safe and protected from SIDS when sleeping with the Snuza pico.
THANK YOU Snuza pico creators for making this product!!!
Snuza Pico worth every cent – I love the Snuza Pico. Alerts me if baby is wrong temperature or rolls onto her tummy. Is very accurate. The breathing monitor certainly works as once her singlet got underneath the monitor and it set off. Best to dress baby in a onesie or something that covers the monitor so that doesnt happen. Thats the only false alarm Ive had. Can be turned on… Read more
and off from your phone. I live in a double story brick home and it works even when baby is upstairs and Im downstairs. Battery life is great. Only downside is only one phone can be connected to it at a time. Can have multiple devices though so my husband can connect if Im not using it. I love it. Helps me sleep without stress.
Worth the investment for peace of mind – With so many reports of breathing and sensor pads giving false alarms I opted for the Snuza Pico. I used the Pico from birth to age 1 and whilst there were a few problems with it here and there, overall I couldn't have lived (or slept!) without it. The issues I had (on a few occasions) were connection drop outs. What irritated me about them… Read more
was when they did happen I wouldn't always receive a notification on my phone that the connection was lost. The good thing though was that the pico itself was still monitoring bub the whole time. The video monitor I also have set up in her room would also pick up the alarm if it went off so either way I was notified. This probably wouldn't happen so often in a smaller home I'm guessing.
I love that you can see what position your baby is sleeping in and also seeing whether they're in a light or a deeper sleep. The temperature notifications were handy too if my little one had a fever. The only false alarms we experienced were when the Pico fell off baby's nappy (bulkier cloth nappies) and also when my hubby forgot to put the pico back on baby and I turned it on when she went down for a nap without knowing she wasn't wearing it. (Nice one dad!)
It's small, compact and comes with a rechargeable dock. The clip did come apart a few times (easy fix) but I think this is because we used modern cloth nappies more often than thinner disposables.
Overall, despite the drop outs here and there I'd still have invested in the Pico. Such a handy little monitor that gave me a lot of peace of mind. Being a first time mum I definitely needed it so I could get some rest here and there too.
Terrible Product - Avoid! – This product is simply appalling. Constant false alarms throughout the night when our little boy (6 Months) rolls and sleeps on his tummy. The weight of him (6.0kg) on the Mattress with the Pico in between causes the monitor to not sense breathing and sets off the alarm, many times a night. We rush in to check on him and he is happily… Read more
breathing fine, head on it’s side without any issue.
A complete waste of $250 on a poorly design “top of the range” monitor. We should have gone with the Owlet!
Worth every cent for the peace of mind! – So much better than the Snuza Hero as it's rechargeable and smaller. The only issue I've had is that the clip could be sturdier but overall I love it! My daughter is almost one and we still use it every night. It alerts me to high or low temps and if she has laboured breathing. In the least you know if your little one needs more blankets but I'm… Read more
so use to her stats I know when she's going to wake and what is normal for her. Although they say it's not ideal for co sleeping we used it to ensure she was safe in our bed. It's only ever gone off twice and the 2nd time I got to her to touch her & she did gasp. The only false alarms we have had was due to elastic waistband so we just have her in a onesie always to sleep now. I love that I can alter the alert settings so when she does have a slight temp I can set it to wake me if it gets worse through the night etc. Note: don't get stressed by body temp of low 35's. My little girl normally has a body temp of 35.2 or so when sleeping on her back. Also note it does that a little while for the body temp to come up so don't freak out when you initially turn it on.
