terrible service – my inverter stopped four months ago.rang up four times with no respond so i contacted fair trading and they organised for the manufacturer to send me a new inverter and i had to find somebody myself to install it,and they would refund me a $120.00.the second inverter doesn't work either and it is not new.looks like i have to waste time and money to take them to court.

Beware Solarpowernsw The Worst Solar Installer In Aust – Don't use this mob , they are the absolute worst solar installer in Aust , no return phone calls no answering phone , once you pay that's the end as far as they're concerned . Twice needed warranty had to get fair trading involved . Initial install was also faulty and they left with system not working . An absolutely disgraceful company
Beware Solarbright, Prestons NSW 2170 - no after sale service – Had panels installed was quoted and agreed to $300-$350 for new meter. Was never installed and brought to our attention by plumber 2 years later. They would not return my calls or emails and no apology for our not receiving any rebates on electricity for 2 years. Very poor customer service from Solar Power NSW – I purchased a solar system from Solar Power NSW in May 2011, and it has since broken down twice. times before somebody responded. On the second occasion, nobody had responded after six weeks of repeated calls. I then wrote a letter and sent an email to the company demanding a response within one week, or would lodge a complaint with the Department of Fair Trading.
Only then did I receive a reply email asking me to call a different number, probably a direct number, whereupon I was able to speak to a staff member who could address my issue. No apology for poor service was offered, except to say “we’ve been busy”. I was told a new inverter would be installed within a week. When I had not heard from Solar Power NSW within a month, I called the direct number again and was told the new inverters had been out of stock but had only just arrived within the warehouse and that I would receive mine within a week. When nothing had happened after 2 weeks I lodged a complaint with the Department of Fair Trading.
Fair Trading made numerous contact with Solar Power NSW to ascertain an estimated time of arrival of the new inverters, but were told they were unable to supply a date because they couldn't contact the manufacturer. Fair Trading also advised that if I wished to pursue the matter further I could lodge a complaint with the NSW Civil and Administrative tribunal, who have the authority to make enforceable orders. I decided to pursue this option.
I sent a letter of demand to Solar Power NSW demanding a full refund for cost of my solar system, stating they had sold me a product with a major fault, and that if I had known this I would not have purchased it in the first place. I demanded the refund within one week, or would pursue my complaint through the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Surprisingly my inverter was replaced within 2 days of my letter being posted. The staff member who informed me of the replacement claimed to know nothing of my letter of demand, but I'm not so sure.
Overall it took 5 months for my inverter to be replaced, and only after involving the Department of Fair Trading and threatened legal action. The most frustrating part is the lack of response from Solar Power NSW when they failed to respond to my repated phone calls. Like many businesses, Solar Power NSW are more than willing to appease a customer in the lead up to a sale, but their after sales service is appalling and non-existent. I would certainly not recommend them to anybody considering a solar energy system.
September 19th 2015 Update:
Would you believe the solar system I purchased from Solar Power NSW in 2011 has broken down for the third time? Not only was I sold a system of poor quality and full of faults, there is no after sales service from Solar Power NSW. It's pointless trying to call them because they never return your calls. Their phone now appears to be disconnected. I have been in contact with the department of fair trading to determine if they are still in business, and it appears they are. I will be seeking a full refund under Australian Consumer Law, and I will not be backing down. This company has the worst customer service imaginable, and I will use the full extent of the law to get my money back.
Non existent after sales service
Where are you ? – After a 2 month wait I finally got my 3kw system installed only to be told that I will have to wait for their Level 2 electrician to install the meter. Here I am 3 weeks later and no contact despite me contacting them on 3 different occasions. This has been a painful exercise. A huge white elephant sitting on my roof. Terrible customer service
Very Bad service – My parents have been trying to get in contact with them for the past month, they have not returned there calls at all. They are having issues with the relay and no one wants to help them.. the lady that takes the mesages for them is extremely rude and not helpful at all. we are not happy at all and will be takin ghtis futher, i will be contacting 2GB for some help and i will also be contacting Fair Trading. bad warranty service, no response.
Poor communication – The company seems to have very poor customer service. It is so difficult to get in touch with them once the panels were installed. I had to call them multiple times without any luck, everytime their staff takes the messge and promises that someone will contact but no one calls back. company conducted the inspection and found defects with the installation. Again I contacted them and am waiting for a call back....... Cheap product. Very poor communication
Great money saver – After inquiry we requested a quote. Over the phone they did give a excellent indication of price and measured rooftop area using satellite images. Following days they did give prompt answer to all relative questions and we decided to order a 4Kw system (12 solar panels) Installation was arranged 2 weeks later and was all done in about 2 hours. prompt service and direct answer to questions Show reply
