They use to be SolarSmart, I was OUT smarted, now they are called ARISE-solar they are back from the dead – Accurate facts I am still waiting two years later to rectify faulty panels/enphase's microinverters IQ7 not responding one panel under efficiency. The GM is NOT returning my calls and much less that efficient lady that has all the answers on the phone but not on the ground on top of my roof. I am waiting for your update guys, any time sooner? few customers reviews are confirming the same perennial issue with retailers that are NOT installers and they must pay for an installer to fix any fault after their installation. They are just sell new installations and vanish till next … New company opens up with the same lady and same contact 1300 number.

Has this company gone into liquidation??? – We have paid a deposit for our solar panels and now I cannot get hold of Sue Wulff, her emails are bouncing. The office 1300 505 584 number is disconnected. I have tried calling Greg Smith the sales agent on his mobile - says he is on leave. The website doesn't exist anymore either. The build is already costing so much more with price inflation… Read more
and trades shortages and now this company may have sucked us out of our deposit? Does nobody even tell you what's going on?
What's happened to Solar Smart Maroochydore. Have they Closed up ?? – We had our solar system installed by Solar Smart a couple of years ago and recently got a report from the Clean Energy Regulator dealing with some issues that needed addressing. The report was also forwarded to Solar Smart for a follow up. I tried calling Sue on her mobile and the 1300 number and both numbers had been disconnected and there are… Read more
no forwarding numbers or contacts, I hope they haven't abandoned ship as we still have a warranty to be cared for. So if you are reading this , can you please contact me ASAP so we can care for these issues. Thank You Phillip Lee
They are retailers NOT installers – When installing solar make sure to use and Installer/retailer at once and to have a written warranty about the INSTALLATION that is not the same as the product. Period I had to use several electricians to fix a basic negligence from one electrician. The physics of the electron is different in AU electricians having a different idea. After 3 years… Read more
I have the same issue, production and reporting faults besides the financial cost for not returning energy to the grid efficiently. Be aware that they install ferrite cores on line to avoid reporting interference that they never check. I guess is because it cost a few dollars more, and giving you a minimum for a maximum cost is well embedded in AU since UK Federation 1901 to date
Perfect Solar Installation – The installation went to plan and was completed in one day. The installer answered all questions professionally and in addition, set up the Inverter App for iPhone monitoring. I have no hesitation in recommending Solar Smart QLD to anyone planning to install a solar system. Show details

Good Experience and Happy Customer – After years of procrastination finally got solar for my home. After massive research, multiple quotes, fear from all the disaster stories about the solar industry went ahead with a 6.6KW system with 5KW Fronius invertor by Solar Smart Qld. Long story short - Super happy!! Easy quotation, invoicing, super professional install, organised electricity… Read more
meter change etc. I am generating up to 41KW per day on East / West layout - Super impressive. Recommend the team from Solar Smart but invest in quality gear and they will do the rest.
Very Pleased and would recommend them – Amazing!! From the first conversation through the entire installation they were helpful, friendly & competent. Sue had workers at my house within the week and 7 days later I am producing more power. Show details
“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” – If you’re not solar smart, beware. Thanks to, Solar Smart, Maroochydore, I now have an underperforming solar system, producing one third of its capacity! I’m a single mother, work in a preschool, and I know nothing about solar. With the prices of power rising, I thought it a good idea to install one. A couple of installers came to my place.… Read more
They said that there was too much shade on the house for an installation but Solar Smart said, it’ll be fine, they would install part of the system on the garage, which isn’t shaded. I was also told they had special (more expensive) panels that work well in shade so I agreed to let them do the job. On the day of installation, there was a change of plans. I was told, there was no need to put the panels on my garage, it’d work well anyway (it didn’t). I was surprised but they “convinced” me.
I paid $5000 for the 6KW system and $600 for the meter, only to find out once the meter was in place, that it hardly produces any power at all. On the first day, in the whole day it made the “whopping” 8Kw. I checked with an acquaintance also having 6Kw system, who couldn’t believe that it produced that little. “You must be reading the wrong information on the meter,” he said, since on the same day his system produced over 25 Kw. I checked the internet, my system was producing like a 1.5 Kw system.
A solar system that doesn’t produce solar power is not what I ordered or need. I emailed to the installer complaining about the performance. The installer didn’t reply. Only when the Department of Fair Trading contacted them, [name removed], the boss, reacted claiming that - even though my emails went through - they didn’t receive any email, their system was down. I sent the first email on 25th of August and they claim they couldn’t read it until the 15th September 2017”! Can a business be without access to the internet for three weeks!? In fact, even once they read the emails, they chose not to contact me at all.
They also claim that I agreed to have a system that didn’t produce power, can anyone believe that? Only once the meter was installed a week after the solar installation, I found out how poorly the system was performing!
Had I known what I know now, I’d never agree to have it installed, wasting my hard-earned money.
I know nothing about solar systems but the solar company should. Since they are supposed to be the experts, I trusted their advice. No wonder, they convinced me that installing the system was a good idea. But, what’s the point of paying $5600 for a system that doesn’t produce solar power forcing me, even on a sunniest of days, to still use and pay for the power from the grid! It’s like buying an expensive car that only can drive in slow motion, would anyone buy it?
[name removed], the boss, accused me of “having selective memory”. There’s nothing selective about it. [name removed](his representative) convinced me that the system would perform, even though there was lots of shade. Also the boss himself, [name removed] admits that over the phone, he suggested the “power optimised system” so that “she would be able to get some output in the winters months”, thus confirming that it was his, not my, idea installing a system that couldn’t and wouldn’t perform. By the way, what does “some output mean”?
I had no idea either what he was talking about when he suggested “the power optimised system whereby the solar panels are not linked to the production of the adjacent solar panels”, can anyone explain what it means? [name removed] claims that “the roof of the garage wasn’t big enough to accommodate the system” – if he knew that, why was it installed at all. And as I was told by other installers, the system could have been split, half on the house, half on the garage, which is not uncommon and which would perform much better.
And you must read this. [name removed] states that “The system appears to be averaging approximately 11kwh per day and I believe that given the conditions this is probably in excess of what I would have expected.” Can you believe it? A fully functional 6Kw system should produce this much in TWO hours on a sunny day! In TWO hours!!! This is 1.5 kWh system’s performance! Most certainly, had I been told about that, I’d never have agreed to its installation!
