Disappointing – I organised to have PV panels installed for my parent's place. It has been more than a year we just realised it was never set up with the energy company. I called to request the paper work and was told by the energy company that they were incomplete. No follow up and no response from Solarex. Not professional at all

Total incompetance – Disgust!!!!! this company needs to be shut down and reported. They have good salespeople but thats as far as it goes. cancelled everything. Worst of all is all the money I have spent chasing them and getting all the info they need. They simply do not know how to answer a phone, let alone return a phone call.

The worst experience as a customer ive ever had – like the others on here I have found it impossible to get any customer service whatsoever. these guys do not return phone calls and just keep stringing me along. calls any more. I have a faulty inverter which they are clearly not interested in resolving the issue. Please steer clear of these guys as you eill be wasting your time and money and causing yourself many headaches. I strongly believe the good reviews on here are fake. I couldn't possibly see these guys doing anything in an even slightly professional manner. feeling sick over the whole experience.

Stay away from Solarex Australia!! – My parents had 6kw of solar panels installed this year on 15th July - Solarex sales guy from Laverton North said they will take care of all paperwork to have to connected to grid etc etc.... has been declined! They are only eligible for a 5kw unit and that they contacted Solarex 10 days ago to let them know that they need to remove some panels! Not a word from Solarex, and they have not been returning messages we have left since 6th Sep to find out what was taking so long. Very unprofessional, I wish my mum would have looked online at these reviews before paying thousands of dollars to these guys. Have filed complaint with Consumer Affairs as per advice on this page - take heed and don't go anywhere near this company!

Dishonest company what the salesman said is not what i got – I paid for a product from Germany and received a chinese product...not happy at all. the salesman tells you one thing but the company doesn't care once they receive your money....the office staff are not the best to deal with....lack of return phone calls...I am so disappointed...but I will contact consumer affairs and let anyone who will listen know.... The converter is chinese and i intend to findout where the panels came from

Do not deal with this company – I have never encountered such poor customer service. Don't return calls, don't resolve issues, don't care!!! Manager becomes abusive when confronted with workmanship issues. I too am amazed how Solarex Australia are allowed to still be in operation as quoted by previous review stay clear of this company, nothing but headaches and stress! Poor workmanship

Solarex - service, what service – Totally agree with both [name removed] and Disappointed. When I originally ordered their PV system, I stipulated a German inverter but they installed a Chinese unit regardless which is now faulty. In addition, the system does not generate anythink like the figures that a system of this size should.They do not reply to emails or phone calls so obviously the next step is Consumer Affairs. Unreliable – All buyers beware, well overpriced for average product. Can't complain about the service because there is none. Installations done poorly and absolutely 0 care factor on behalf of the company. They will not ring u back ever so don't waste your time go straight to Consumer affairs. It's amazing how Solarex Australia are allowed to still be in operation. Stay clear of this company. Service, expensive, installation, everything.

systems, we had a quote done before from another company and came away confused.

so when he came out he really explained to us so it was simple to understand we decided to purchase a 3kw German system and we couldn't be happier! It was installed 2 weeks later and on the day of installation he came around and had a coffee with us between his appointments to make sure all was running smooth and to make sure we were satisfied with the install. Terrible is MILD - absolutely appalling! – Don't deal with Group Solar Buy - ever! They say whatever you want to hear, but have no control over Solarex (their sub-contractor) at all, and as such, are powerless to resolve any issues. As for Solarex: almost 3 months of stress, with the first choice of panel we had contracted for not being available, interminable delays and haggling, and the certificates have just arrived by email, but only after lodging a complaint with Energy Safe Victoria.

Absolutely everything - a string of broken promises, extremely poor communication. I really could have done without three months of stress!

Shocking and Irresponsible - Not recommend to anybody – I was pleased with Group Solar Buy sales person. Price was not cheap but OK. System Installed by Solarex in 2 weeks after that for more than 2 months no response. System still locked out. whenever ask , Group Solar Buy people say under processing. Only the threat of formal complaint to legal authorities got things to a painful slow end. So much time was lost, so many headaches - so as it turns out, it was rather expensive. I wouldn't go anyway near any of these companies again. An absolute disgrace. It gets the prize for the worse experience in this country. Not much really, except that the solar system chosen seems okay. Shocking service, lots of problems with the installation, felt disrespected as customer on countless times.
