Feedback for 3P Solar is predominantly positive, with many customers highlighting the professionalism of the installation teams and the helpfulness of the technical support staff. While the initial installation process is frequently described as seamless and competitively priced, a segment of users has reported significant challenges regarding after-sales support, specifically concerning long wait times for repairs and lack of communication once payments are finalised.

Verdict
3P Solar is a strong candidate for residential solar and battery installations due to their professional tradespeople and competitive market pricing. However, potential customers should be prepared for possible delays in after-sales support and should double-check their quotes for potential hidden electrical costs before the installation date.

The Installer was on time, He was happy to take questions and answer them too. I believe he did a good job. Although, I am still waiting Vic Solar for approval
My inverter spontaneously disconnected from my Wi-Fi. The usual steps to reconnect failed. 3P Solar technicians finally advised me to turn off my Wi-Fi router completely, then restart it. I did this, then the usual reconnection process was successful. So thanks to 3P solar expertise again.

Amit did a great job, a perfect installation without any damage, made sure everything worked and hooked me up with the app. Explained everything and cleaned up after the install. I have a battery system as well. I look forward to the letters (Not bills anymore) from Origin now because they send me money! Show details · 1

Took too long for them to respond. I paid a deposit for my 20kWh battery in Aug had to wait 2 months for the battery to be installed in early October but then they told me that the smart meter for the SOFAR battery was incorrect and had to be replaced. It is now 6 weeks and I have been calling and they have promised that there will be someone… Read more

I arranged 3P Solar to install a 10klw solar system in March 2024 & that was provided at a very competitive price of I which I was very pleased with, as I wanted to further improve my electrical efficiency I decided to install a solar battery, I again went to 3P solar as I was happy with previous solar panel install, 3P Solar provided another… Read more · 1
very competitive price for a 19.2lkw Sungrow solar battery system, this was completed on 20/11/2025, the electrical installer was very efficient & informative throughout the whole process & now I am just waiting for inspection to enable me to turn on & save further on my electricity, The whole process was arranged without any fuss or issue by 3P Solar & they followed up once completed, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending 3P Solar to anyone looking at installing a solar system/battery, if comparing via compare websites make sure you include 3P Solar while comparing, you will not be disappointed. I had my solar system installed and I was expecting a neat installation. The inverter was installed outside and when drilling to have the inverter attached to the external wall, the technician/installer drilled all the way through the other side and made a hole on the plaster in one of the house rooms. The hole on the wall was fixed but given… Read more
it’s a new house. Once the paint dried out, the patch can be seen.
To have it correctly repaired 3p should have painted a bigger surface of the wall or have a proper painter fixing the defect.
I didn’t want to be too picky and even provided the original paint to have the damage fixed and 3p did not even offer anything in return.
3P was expecting me to be grateful to have the defect repaired which was caused by their technician.
I believe 3P solar customer service should offer more than an apology when something like this happens.
On 02Jul2025 the damage on the wall was fixed. It looks better. I would say that at least 3p followed up this issue until it was fixed.

Follow-up · Very disappointed when I purchased a 5.5kw battery system. It took 9 weeks from when the battery was installed to when it was connected. A neighbour had his battery system installed by another company and it was up & running in 36 hours. Although it was outside 3P Solar control, one of the batteries was faulty & it took 2 weeks to replace the faulty battery

Many thanks Tom!!! We had a problem with our Neovolt solar battery system setup after having a good run for about 6 months and was extremely happy how everything was working. Then a regular beep started. On hearing this I did a full reboot of the system and noticed that we were getting next to no charge going to the battery and most of the excess… Read more
solar power was going into the grid and we still had the beep After a call to 3P solar ( our system supplier) I immediately got a call from Tom their Tech support. Tom was extremely friendly, helpful and patient and forwarded the issue to Neovolt, who quickly resolved my power direction problem. But still the beep was coming. So another call to my extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, patient Tom who suggested maybe the smoke alarm immediately above my system was the problem. I then said "SMOKE ALARM" a little embarrassed, I ring Tom with my apologies for wasting so much of his time and of course thanked him for his assistance & patience. Thanks again Tom
Solar battery system installation is a technically demanding process that plays a critical role in the performance, safety, and efficiency of a renewable energy setup. When properly installed, a solar battery allows excess energy generated by solar panels to be stored and used later, improving energy independence and reducing reliance on the grid.… Read more · 1
A major strength of professional installation is compliance with electrical and safety standards. In countries like Australia, installations must meet strict regulations (such as AS/NZS standards) to ensure safe operation. Certified installers handle tasks such as inverter integration, battery placement, wiring, and system testing, which reduces risks like overheating, electrical faults, or fire hazards.
System compatibility is another critical factor. Solar batteries must be correctly matched with inverters and solar panel systems. For example, some batteries are AC-coupled while others are DC-coupled, and improper configuration can lead to energy losses or system inefficiency. Professional installers assess system size, household energy usage, and backup requirements before installation.
Installation time varies depending on system complexity. A standard residential solar battery installation typically takes between 4 to 8 hours, while more advanced or larger systems may require a full day or longer. Proper commissioning—including performance testing and monitoring setup—is essential and should not be rushed.
One clear benefit of a well-installed system is improved energy efficiency and backup capability during outages. Many modern systems include smart monitoring, allowing users to track energy usage and battery performance in real time via apps.
Experience I had is like many others reporting negatively here. I think if you have any kind of very straightforward installation maybe they are ok. As soon as anything goes wrong or you have a more complex situation they will promise you everything and deliver nothing. I was simply after a Sungrow battery to fit to my existing system and… Read more
inverter. They quoted me a competitive price and took my deposit in Sept 2025. I knew I would need some work on the switchboard also. Based off photos alone they quoted me $1,200 and demanded full payment up front. I refused and paid 50% with balance to paid when electrician turns up. Thank God I did not pay in full. For the next 5 months I had to chase them continuously for a works and install date. They would provide a date and then came up with excuse after excuse and kept on moving the date a month later, then another month later. They would not put anything in writing and commit. In response to my emails they would call and not be accountable in writing.
Finally, they actually send someone to site 6 months after taking my deposit. Despite all their previous excuses advising the installer being delayed, and then being on holidays, the guy who turns up says he only got issued the job a week ago. The switchboard works suddenly go from the $1,200 quoted to over $3 grand and advice comes back that they cannot install the quoted Sungrow battery because it can't be installed outdoors! Instead, they want to install a FoxEss battery, new inverter etc at a cost 3 times greater than their original quote. Now I am not bagging FoxEss, but it is a cheaper product than the Sungrow, yet 3P are trying to sell it to me at a dearer price. Secondly, it is a complete lie that the Sungrow battery cannot be installed outside. 3P simply did not want to honour their quote after delaying everything for 6 months and were using this as an excuse to try and worm out of the contract.
It is clear in my view that they are a company after quick and easy money, maximising their access to government rebates while providing the bare minimum of service and feasting on the easy pickings. They will try and sell you the product they want to sell, not necessarily the product you want or need. If you have any complexity to your install or are unlucky enough to get a dodgy product, then good luck resolving it. Anyone serious about maximising their Solar experience should look elsewhere and avoid the risk of dealing with 3P!
I am sure I will also get the standard cookie-cutter response to this review you see elsewhere - "Dear Customer. We are sorry you have had a bad experience dealing with 3P, etc." This is very patronising after receiving such poor service but is standard marketing response to try and offset the impact of negative reviews. If the effort they spent here trying to look like they care was instead spent at the front end of the process to address these issues, they would not have all the negative reviews they do have.

Very disappointed with the 3p. They could not provide clear instructions on price break down. We agreed on $2391 for all the things, I asked repeatedly - do I need to pay anything after that, they said no. Now, I am paying $29.17 every month.
