My Alpha-Ess App home page spontaneous logged me out and refused to acknowledge my identity to allow me to re register. All I could get was a Demo page. I consulted 3P solar and once again they worked out the problem. Colton phoned me back within 15 minutes and guided me through the solution. Throughout the solar system continued to work as usual. solar power was going into the grid and we still had the beep After a call to 3P solar ( our system supplier) I immediately got a call from Tom their Tech support. Tom was extremely friendly, helpful and patient and forwarded the issue to Neovolt, who quickly resolved my power direction problem. But still the beep was coming. So another call to my extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, patient Tom who suggested maybe the smoke alarm immediately above my system was the problem. inverter. They quoted me a competitive price and took my deposit in Sept 2025. I knew I would need some work on the switchboard also. Based off photos alone they quoted me $1,200 and demanded full payment up front. I refused and paid 50% with balance to paid when electrician turns up. Thank God I did not pay in full. For the next 5 months I had to chase them continuously for a works and install date. They would provide a date and then came up with excuse after excuse and kept on moving the date a month later, then another month later. They would not put anything in writing and commit. In response to my emails they would call and not be accountable in writing.

Finally, they actually send someone to site 6 months after taking my deposit. Despite all their previous excuses advising the installer being delayed, and then being on holidays, the guy who turns up says he only got issued the job a week ago. The switchboard works suddenly go from the $1,200 quoted to over $3 grand and advice comes back that they cannot install the quoted Sungrow battery because it can't be installed outdoors! Instead, they want to install a FoxEss battery, new inverter etc at a cost 3 times greater than their original quote. Now I am not bagging FoxEss, but it is a cheaper product than the Sungrow, yet 3P are trying to sell it to me at a dearer price. Secondly, it is a complete lie that the Sungrow battery cannot be installed outside. 3P simply did not want to honour their quote after delaying everything for 6 months and were using this as an excuse to try and worm out of the contract.

It is clear in my view that they are a company after quick and easy money, maximising their access to government rebates while providing the bare minimum of service and feasting on the easy pickings. They will try and sell you the product they want to sell, not necessarily the product you want or need. If you have any complexity to your install or are unlucky enough to get a dodgy product, then good luck resolving it. Anyone serious about maximising their Solar experience should look elsewhere and avoid the risk of dealing with 3P!

I am sure I will also get the standard cookie-cutter response to this review you see elsewhere - "Dear Customer. We are sorry you have had a bad experience dealing with 3P, etc." This is very patronising after receiving such poor service but is standard marketing response to try and offset the impact of negative reviews. If the effort they spent here trying to look like they care was instead spent at the front end of the process to address these issues, they would not have all the negative reviews they do have.

Tom was both patient and knowledgeable. I had problems accessing my app and with my battery and he was able to sort everything out for me. Tom is very polite and well spoken and provides an excellent service.

Really happy with the support I received from Troy at 3P Solar Technical Support. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He showed me how the solar battery works and guided me through the app in a way that was easy to understand. I now have a much better understanding of how to get the most out of my home solar system. We have had the 3P Solar system installed for over 12 months and are happy with the product and service. We recently had a 3rd party electrician do some work and experienced a data read issue after they gad finished. 3P attended and rectified the issue free of charge even though the issue was unrelated to their work. Very happy!

Very disappointed with the 3p. They could not provide clear instructions on price break down. We agreed on $2391 for all the things, I asked repeatedly - do I need to pay anything after that, they said no. Now, I am paying $29.17 every month. Do not choose 3P! The worst customer service, I have dealt with to date. Among all other solar companies went more expensive from quotes thinking get better service / product was I wrong 3P Solar is by far the worst to be dealing with. Good quote initially but unfortunately it’s not a thorough one as the installers will advise on the day of the booking as to how much extra it will cost depending on location. This can be quite a bit more than expected as it was in my case. I would rather a more detailed quote.

I had a good discussion with the team before the solar panels were installed. The installer was very understanding and clearly explained everything throughout the process.
