Would give negative if I could. Dryer runs forever - can go over 4 hours. No timer button. Overheats clothes, lint filter gets cleaned after each load, and front lint trap gets cleaned with needle nose pliers after every 3rd load. Really poor design… Read more
to try to keep clean. Have to unscrew it to do it properly. Vacuumed once a week.
Tonight, it CAUGHT FIRE. Smoke everywhere, took smoking clothes out of drum and saw actual FLAMES behind the drum. Dragged it outside, burnt my fingers and hosed it down. Could have burnt my house down.
Will NEVER buy a Solt product again.
Do not buy this dryer. It’s a huge fire hazard. Should be recalled.
Follow-up · It’s now a month post incident (Jan 21). Warranty claim entered Dec 22nd. The Dryer was finally picked up by authorised repairer Jan 15th. I’ve heard nothing since. Barely a 1 star . Runs for 3 + hours or more and the lint that bypasses the lint filter to the vent you have to unscrew and clean at least weekly or it drips water from the door. The company chats are useless and say if they don’t find a fault they wanna charge $121 to inspect it. Isn’t that what a warranty and an extended warranty is for? Caught fire in back! Could have burnt my house down – Have had this dryer less than 2 years. The belt went in it so we were getting it fixed when they pulled the back off they found there had been a fire in it!! We never smelt smoke or anything. Do NOT buy this dryer! The good guys are replacing it under warranty with another brand for us! Show details
Terrible product avoid at all costs – Terrible product, I made the mistake of purchasing this drier due to its appealing price tag.... It leaves a thin film of lint all through the area in which you have it installed. Literally coats walls, ceilings and every surface with a very fine layer of lint that over time gets thicker and thicker. Show details

Good dryer but – This dryer was good value. It's capable of taking a large load of washing and dries it thoroughly. Those are the good points. On the negative side, there are a few settings but there is no timer. sure when it turns off on its own or if it doesn't turn off and you're meant to press the start/pause button. This is a fire hazard and I only use the dryer on the one hour setting for safety. The other unusual thing is the filter. There is a filter at the door that catches most lint, but the exhaust vent is in the front too and that pushes out hair and debris that wasn't caught by the lint trap. Not a problem if you could clean that out, but there are screws on the exhaust vent. This dryer is ok if you keep an eye on it, the drying power is better than some other more expensive brands, but they have some design flaws to sort out.
