was given a list of products compatible for this. If you read between the lines (or the right ones!) you may find the software or watever (I'm no ingeener) is Android? On that line after logging on my google account I received a warning about someone log- in on Linux??? Again trying to find some answer it seems Linux is involved also in Bravia tv?? I Have to come to the conclusion that is too much hard work for sony to properly inform customers. And it is probably better for them to give them a push to buy a new TV! died – have had the Tv for 4 years... its our second TV down stairs... barley gets used... lucky to be used a hour a week if at all... yesterday decided to have a mate over to watch UFC, by the end of the fights the TV screen went blank and a electrical smell filled the room while making a loud humming sound... Only lasted 3 years – Brought in March 2018 from JB HiFi Rosy Hobart and recently it started glitching and flicking out of focus after only 30 mins of TV time. Unbelievably short life span. Short life span – Picture quality is great, fast processing time when opening apps from first turn on. However after 18 months a line of broken pixels appeared 10cm from the top of the screen. TV. After spending over $2600 to have the TV the needing repairs (quoted $700) & unusable in the meantime we are extremely disappointed! Do not recommend.
pixel issues – I've had the same problem with dead pixels, bought at harvey norman with extended warranty, complaint goes to a company aligned to sony, they tell me they're going to replace the TV, Sony say re[place the screen???? i go to harvey norman and they talk to the 3rd party, harvey norman stand by replacement, tmrw i should get a call. 25% of the reviews are 3 stars and below Show details
Great TV but watch out for sonys very poor screens – This should be a really good TV but after almost one year I began to see a few small black dots. Took photos and been told they are dead pixels and had my TV replaced but with one in even worse condition! I now have been refunded because the third one they showed me in store still has a few dots and even Harvey normals manager said this is now the Norman for Sony TVs which I think shouldn't be the case! Sony gone way down hill! – I've had all Sony TVs before but my next one after this will be my last! After 1 week out side of warranty 8 dead pixels showed. replacement which also had yet again dead pixels. Harvey Norman then un boxes 3 and only one had 1 pixel dead so had to take that one.
Message to Sony: do better checks on your TV screens and don't sell faulty units with dead pixels!
Nice home theatre addition – This model TV is power efficient, Bluetooth, USB hard drive, Wi-Fi internet compatible; it's every home owner's dream come true! Watch out for the dead pixels! – I bought this TV expecting the best quality to be hugely disappointed that right after unboxing I find not just 1 dead pixel but 8. Sony then replaced it 4 times with even worse screens until the retailer unboxes 3 and all had guess what dead pixels! So I chose the one that has 2 top corner. Not very happy at songs quality now! Fantastic TV! – We bought this TV just before Christmas and we don't have any complaints. Crystal clear screen, great sound & very easy to set up and operate. I love that apps are already installed and ready to use, including quick buttons on the remote. Great quality tv – Picture quality is fairly good for the price tag compared to similar priced models. The factory speakers are ok how ever I upgraded to a sound bar with sub. Has ample inputs. Always a Fan of Sony TV – Bought this for my first home but been a fan of sony TV since long ago. Picture quality is average, colour is a bit dull in default unless set the setting to "Vivid". Ok – This tv was great when we got it but having trouble with it connecting to internet when turning on and then it freezes a lot . The picture quality is good a little fuzzy . But not to noticeable. The sound is great very clear. Has more than enough hdmi ports and USB ports. Very easy to use smart tv you can move from pay tv to free tv and back to Netflix very easy. Show details
Happy with purchase – The picture quality is good but not as good as it looked in store of course, the 4K would have had a lot to do with that. Still excellent quality and really happy with this tv. Network (LAN) runs excellently, it recognised my network immediately, Wi-Fi is also available but I use a wired network direct from my modem. I cannot comment on the tuner as the TV is directly connected to my Fetch TV by HDMI & I receive my channels directly from there. Sound is clear, not too tinny or boomy.
The only negatives I have are that I would prefer connections (HDMI 2 & 3, USB & antenna) to be more centrally located rather than on the left side as I need to purchase longer HDMI cables for the 4k DVD player hence I have not tested it's compatibility with it's fellow Sony 4k DVD player. Also I found that some app menus such as Netflix's user & password screen appears a little blurry.
The instant Netflix & Youtbe buttons on the remote control are a bonus & most welcome.
I highly recommend this set, I'll probably never go to bed again!
This item is perfect! – The picture quality is great, the sound projects really amazing as well. I don't use HDMI or USB cords much so the computer has plenty.
