Not good enough. Why is Sphere not making any improvements over the years on a product that is clearly nothing but junk. This is our second replacement needed in our 2021 Jayco Silverline. These washing machines only have a 12 month warranty and they don`t last much longer than that, before needing another replacement due to further faults and breakdowns. NOT GOOD ENOUGH SHPERE!! Vastly improved model & size from proceeding 2.5kg machine – Purchased June 2023 after original 2.5kg Sphere washing machine stopped working after 5 years in our Kokoda caravan. The new model is 3.3kg so aprox 100mm taller but same depth & width as old model, the new model has been working great, for 5months now, holds much more than before & it is not jammed in tight. Machine is used aprox 4times every… Read more
week sometime more. Now has 3 different water levels & 4 different wash modes. Washes queen sheet & pillow case with ease in 1 load, 2 bath towels in 1 load. It is a quieter machine than previous model & fits under standard height bench perfectly.
Cable shorted against hose clamp – I have this model washing machine in my Jayco caravan. The machine is only 30 months old and has had minimal use. Unfortunately the manufacturing is of poor quality and the main cable to the pump not secured adequately. As you can see in the photo, the cable was resting on a hose clamp which moves with the bowl. This friction rubbed through the… Read more
cable completely with the resultant loss of power to the pump. Note all the insulation debris below pump. It was a nightmare to remove from the Jayco cabinet but that’s another review.

No power – Love my little washing machineand have never had any issues with it. But this time I have gone to press the on/off button, and no power ?? Anyone else had this problem and hopefully and easy fix !
Great washer – We live in our caravan full time .The machine is used daily for over 12 months now and never had a problem . Does go out of balance at times ,but that is due by incorrect loading . Very happy great little washer

Sphere 3.5 12v washing machine Fail – First one we ordered did not spin so they sent us another one within a week ( great speed) however the second one has the same issue it doesn’t spin and your stuck hand wringing every item washed. We’ve even tried it empty. Two machines in one week both same issue. Waste of money and time Show details
F1 Code on sphere 3kg washing machine – Started filling with water, water to the top of the bowl, noticed the F1 code. Turned washing machine off as unsure whether it would fill to overflowing. How do we solve this problem? Show details
Sphere e2 code issue on spin cycle – My sphere was going to e2 fault once it started spin cycle saying that the lid was open. On further investigation I found that the same switch for lid open is also the sensor for uneven load. I removed top of washing machine and bent the rod on the switch away from the tub about 15mm and problem fixed hope this helps . Show details

Sphere 3.3 pumping water out the top and flooding the caravan floor – Brought our Sphere 3.3 22 months ago so out of warranty. Flooded caravan floor after failing to stop pumping water. A call to Sydney told me I needed a new sensor ( $12 ) plus a qualified 240 volt tradie. Removed the machine and out of curiosity, removed the small panel on the back of the machine. Found a clear plastic hose, complete with clip, hanging in fresh air. Re-fitted the hose and the first load is currently washing - fingers crossed ! Show details
Drain Pump Failed...now not spinning – Great machine for first few months...now living in van full time, it stopped draining...had to replace the drain pump ($31) and about 6 hours of labour to remove from van ( whole other story of disappointment) and pull apart machine...found it very lightly constructed ( Basically just plastic outer shell is all that holds it together). fixed the… Read more
drain problem...then started shaking violently during spin cycle...we thought the problem went away...wrong!!! it has just stopped spinning through spin cycle, so clothes come out soaked. Will not even spin when on a spin cycle only. Came with van, but looking into other brands for replacement at this stage. Very disappointed.

Outstanding performance – This machine is used ion our caravan and used daily whenever we use the caravan. When it is used it is used for all our washing - clothing, bedsheets, beach towels etc. We have not had an issue with the machine despite often loading it to the max. It was simple to install and works well. No issues with delicates - seems to get through each load pretty quickly with good results.
terrible – Had major problems found out there was a recall. Missed or never received recall notice. Company offer no substantial settlement, something in the range of hundred dollars for a one year old six hundred dollar machine. Show details
Spin cycle worse than a boulder rolling down a hill – As soon as starts to spin the whole machine shakes violently and shakes the rear of the caravan. I'll have to go back to a 2.5 kg machine, very disappointed Show details
Never have issues. So easy to use. Went from top loader, to front and hated it. So glad I switched back – Features and settings so easy to use. I use all cycles and have no problems. My front loader was so noisy as it had issues straight away. This one is so quiet it's disconcerting. Show details
Excellent product – Bought a 3.3kg a week or so ago, best thing we did. Using it at caravan parks. Using it for all clothes. Controls are easy to use. no damage to clothes. Cycle times are sufficient. Only issue is the balancing. Sometime you have to stop and rearrange the , apart from that a great buy. Show details · 1
Perfect for me – This size is perfect for me as my children have all flown the coop. Being smaller than other machines results in significant water savings. The delicate cycle works is brilliant. Show details
Good for use and very handy – I brought one of these earlier on in the year and they are great for washing it's really handy and they fit lots in one load I love how my washing looks and feels after coming out of this machine Show details
Extremely troublesome and time consuming – I would not under any circumstances recommend this machine. It was constantly going out of balance when our caravan was new and this was reported to Jayco when the van was under warrantly. Jayco advised that it was ok but we feel that it probably tested without any clothing. The washing machine has never worked properly - constantly going out… Read more
of balance and refilling. We have to manually guide it through it's cycle. Warranty people advise they will not repair it without cost to us even though there is mention on the Caravanners Forum that these machines have had problems.
Good reliable machine with weaknesses – We have owned this machine for four years and find it very convenient to use. Main benefit is it can be used by bucketing water to fill rather than a direct hose connect. Lid and outlet hose were found to be very fragile. Short hose from bowl the pump has perished and had to be replaced. Overall performance of washing machine and spin off rinse… Read more
is quite good, overall size and weight is very convenient for portable outside use in an RV. Make sure storage bucket is in place for transit.

Average – Proper addition of detergent to its work load must be levelled or should provide catalogues about it.light pajamas has extended long due to high torque, pros and cons regarding to specific clothes should be provided.due to imbalance ground leveling, it produces sound like other do.This can be mitigated by R&D.For,same load with one categorized clothe under same load condition it performs satisfactory. Once you've got one of these, you'll never look back! (For my Caravan) – This is a brilliant machine. Very quite and it does and excellent job. I got sick of waiting for the washing machines at the caravan parks I visit, and many times I'd put money in to the machine, it would not work. I also got sick of being caught out with people washing their dog blankets etc. in the machine. It would then go all over mine and… Read more
the kids clothes.
This is fully automatic, has an excellent rinse cycle and spin dryer. It has various wash programs and fits nicely in the the caravan cupboard.
I got mine from Caravans Plus (online) and have always bought from them for years. Their backup service and knowledge is excellent. Whilst they were $18 more expensive (including postage) I am happy to pay that as Mike has for years gone out of his way to help me when I've been stuck - Even on the weekends. I've been dealing with them for years and for me it not all about price, it's knowing you're fully covered if something goes wrong and you WILL get help from them. Past experience has shown me that with other products I have bought throughout the years.
It was a little fiddly to install (certainly not hard) and is terrific. Now that I have one, I'd never go back to not having one.
My caravan I bought had the option to have one put in (I had it provisioned for a washing machine) but opted not tto get it because I thought I'd never use it, and it would be a waste of space. Four months down the track, I realise I should have got it.
A word of warning, there are other brands similar to the Sphere 3Kg washer, and after doing EXTENSIVE research, I'd go with the Sphere because if something was to go wrong, they are either quickly repaired or replaced. The importer is Coast to Coast and they distribute to the caravan accessories market. That is great piece of mind for me.
Good for small space unit – It is a cheap option for those who have small loads or do the laundry frequently with a small portion. It does a great job of washing the clothes as well as spin drying. However, people will need to pay attention to the amount of clothes that they are washing. If it exceeds its limit, the spinning will be slowed and will not be able to get the clothes clean. Great little machine – This machine works perfect for those small loads. It uses hardly any water, is quick and washes really well. I recommend you buy on of these for a single person or for small loads. Surprisingly it was quiet and the small compact size means you can place it anywhere that you have water and power. Good for washing cloth nappies – It cleans well and good for using for kids clothes Or small garments Also it is worth buying if you use cloth nappies for your baby It can only wash one full dress of an adult so waste of energy and time if you aim to wash your own clothes Show details
Good but troublesome – It can do a great job on cleaning the clothes and dry then but it is a bit troublesome in term of draining water everytime and it’s a bit loud. I would still recommend it in terms of the price and the performance. A great buy for small house after all. Show details
Problems in Auckland NZ – I wanted the Sphere because it did not interfere with the electricity. I could operate it with the TV on laptop on jug boiling and to be honest in an RV its an amazing experience because if i have the jug going and the microwave going say goodbye to power! This machine really ticked that box for me. I found that living in the country things move… Read more
slow to backwards. The plumber wasn't his fault took ages to come and hook it in but once it was he did a wonderful job. Machine leaking on washing from the top inlet so i took it back and now they will replace but no refund WHAAAT? Ok as long as they fix I need a little washer that does the job and this one did that.
Perfect – Can not live with out it! Breakfast lunch dinner anytime is a good time for chucking clothes into the machine. Cleaning a fruit and vegetables filled clothes has never been so enjoyable! This machine cleans everything and is completely and unbelievably unbreakable. It does more than 5 washed a day for me as it lives in a house full of people who are all complete hygienic fenatics! Thanks heaps Sphere 3kg Washing machine Show details
It washes but leaves lint – It washes well and is efficient but it leaves lint on clothing a lot. It has a lint bag but mustn't be very efficient as I'm picking lint after each wash. I have bought special lint collecting velcro balls to aid in the removal of the lint, it helps. Washing machines are a bit of a luck purchase, no matter the brand it may be good or you may be stuck with a dud for many years. Mediocre.. Show details
Avoid! – The first machine lasted a couple of months and the second died a little over a year later and out of warranty. We never overloaded either machine but they both struggled to do even a super light wash. Have just ordered a Camec but the reviews on this machine have me worried too! Surely it will be better than the Sphere...time will tell. Show details
Get what you paid for – The washing machine is ok, nothing fancy and does its job, washing clothes. It is a little noisy during the spin stage but nothing as bad as my old one. It hasnt ripped any clothes yet (thank god) and it seems to wash well. Over all the washing machine does its job. Show details
Out of balance – We are on our 2nd machine. The 1st one shook itself to bits on a rough bit of QLD country bitumen, however both have had serious out of balance issues smashing the cooling shroud on the driveshaft against the webs on the lower body section. I have done some repairs and cant believe how lightly constructed these machines are. Show details
Rubbish Washing Machine – Absolute rubbish machine. Our 4th machine in under a year. Our last one in a brand new Jayco Silverline lasted 2 weeks. Show details
