Don’t buy – Awful design to the trimmer line. Never lets the out, always have to let the line out manually. Show details

Line feed problems – Had a previous model for many years. Great trimmer. Nothing last forever, had to buy new. Choose this one due to larger battery power. It's a shocker, line feed stops after a short run. The dealer advised "need to be careful using as line melts if too close to the cut. Causes line feed to stop." Sounds as if it's a standard fault. Enquired if… Read more

Stihl has an improved head that I could buy. Answer NO. I have a Stihl hedger and blower that are good. Stihl needs to refund or find a remedy for the problem.

Worst Designed Trimmer Head Ever-FSA 86 – Used on a normal home lawn. Almost impossible to thread line...then line snaps inside after around 5 minutes use. Have to keep wasting time pulling head apart to get it going again. Then poor line release & breaking keeps failing over & over. Worst trimmer head design I have ever used. I complained to local distributor...but they were in denial &… Read more

offered no customer orientated solution. All my other stihl gear works well. Very disappointed...this trimmer product now can't be used.

Chord issues – I have the same problem as the other user. If I spent as much time clearing weeds as I did trying to fix chord issues then I would have cleaned half of Australia. Chord release does not work and the thin ‘string’ is quickly warring down after short use. It strikes me as an over powered unit with inadequate cutting equipment. Not happy Jan! Show details

Stihl Whipper Snipper Fail – I purchased a battery operated whipper snipper to make my life easier. This is the worst whipper snipper I've EVER purchased and it cost me 3x more than any other. The cord release doesn't work consistently (since day one). First day it took me 5hrs to whipper snip my 600mSq block. Continually unlocking the head mechanism to release more cord.… Read more

Bought good quality cord and I continue to have issues. The only positives, it isn't too loud, starts easily and the battery life is okay.

Awesome trimmer – I just switched from gas powered to battery and this unit fits me perfectly no more trying to pull start, No more gas or oil. This trimmer works perfect. Lots of runtime with the ap 300 battery. I trim a 3 acre lot and I can do most of it on a full charge. I was very skeptical about getting one of these but I'm so happy I did so much easier to go out and trim now Show details
