Not very powerful – I use this saw for bucking logs if the branches are bigger the saw will bog down and has a hard time cleaning it’s self out. Good for homeowners and beginners for small jobs. Would not recommend this saw for someone for heavy everyday use. Show details

it's a stihl what else to say – I've had and used quite a few chainsaws ( Stihl, Husky, Shindaiwa and Dolmar) and the name brands never disappoint. Like the other Stihl products I own they all work whenever you need them. 10 years of sometimes very heavy work and it still ( not a pun) goes. The famous line.....you get what you pay for.....is very true for chainsaws.

Excellent – High quality, have had no problems with my purchase. Happily buy same again. I have put many hours on mine. I have always had mine serviced by Stihl and the biggest issue I had was a blocked fuel filter causing it to run rough. No mechanical issues other than wear and tear. Good Horsepower, Light Saw, Stihl Quality, Easy to start The price is high, but quality and performance is remembered long after price is forgotten.. Show reply

I have had it for several years now and cut over 20 tonnes of firewood. Mostly redgum and sugargum. I have it serviced by a Stihl agent regularly to make sure it lasts.… Read more

It has never let me down. Make sure the air filter is blown out with compressed air after every use. I also like the fact that Stihl is still a privately owned company. Easy to start, easy to handle. Easy to tension chain. Easy to fill with oil and fuel. Came with free case. The price. But you get what you pay for...
