Strike Sponge Mop

Not worth buying – The fixing tabs fall off the sponge. The glue used is not compatible with detergent water. I have reglued , but should not have to. Sponge is difficult to remove from the frame. The canoe clips can’t be pressed out with fingers. The telescopic handle won’t stay extended. I had to tape the joint to be able to use it. The handle is too short. Spent… Read more
the whole time stooped . The squeeze mechanism wont squeeze properly. The sponge is not compressed enough at the ends and leaves a lot of water still in the sponge After reading other reviews, I can empathise.
So broken – Took a while to get plastic off from beneath sponge. Worked fine on first mop. Second time the glue came off back of sponge so had to get a replacement head. Couldn't get old plastic screws off mop without doing injury to myself. Very disappointed. Show details
Complete rubbish!!! – The mop worked once. The sponge fell off after first use and cannot be re-attached. A second sponge needs to be purchased for reuse. Complete garbage and waste of money. Show details
Sponge fell off! – Bought the strike mop 3pm Sat used it then sponge fell off by 4pm. The glue they use to attach sponge obviously is water soluble. Very disappointed and frustrated because now I have to get a refill which will probably do the same thing Show details
Replacements are terrible ! – Mop works great but the refills barely last 3 mops on a regular floor . The glue they use seems to come unstuck once wet . I mop 3 times a week so have found I must replace the sponge every week . Wasn't useful at all . Better off paying more upfront and getting a mop that doesn't need replacing once a week . Terrible Product – Strike mop and handle is absolute piece of rubbish creating more landfill. Like every other review can't keep the handle up. Jammed my finger when the thing would not stay up. Mop head unglued and fell of the base after one use. Can't get the head of as it's too difficult to remove. Won't squeeze. A piece of crap that they are making money on.... no receipt to get a refund for either. Show details
Horrible Mop – Will never buy Strike Mops Again Very disappointed with this brand Always falls apart It is the by far the worst mop I have ever used, it now sits in my garage. Show details
Worst mop ever – Way to hard to get the plastic off of the new mop could not get the sponge of had to use a hammer and screwdriver, just as well I got a replacement sponge when I got the mop. The handle would not stay up no matter how hard I tried to tighten it every time I started to mop the handle came undone, so many things wrong with it. I wouldn't recommend it. Show details
Doesn’t squeeze dry, extension won’t stay up – I bought as was easier for my mums arthritic hands to wring but sponge is still wet after squeezing so it keeps spreading dirty water & telescopic extension part doesn’t stay, so it keeps collapsing with any pressure. Would not recommend. Show details
Wishing for product improvement – The sponge refill performs well as to absorption and ease of use, i like it. Easy to put in a new refill as well. The big hassle is removing the tab/s. As per instructions on the packet "use finger or thumb to push tab/button". It's never that easy. The tabs are sturdy, it can break your fingernails. Then i had to use a knife to cut the tabs,… Read more
which i find it equally difficult as well. Old sponge was oozing with water. Very inconvenient and messy.
I marked the tabs with red arrows on the attached images, and its location on the mop head.
I wish the manufacturer can find a better way/s to make it easier.
