Sunbeam Safe & Sound Waterproof BL3321 / BL3331

Excellent - 15yr old wants new one as hers just died after 10 yrs of service – I am looking to buy another one of these as my daughter LOVES hers . Bought when she was 5 and is now 15, she loves the fact it is safe to wash and turns itself off after 75min so she doesn't overheat or have safety issues at night. Sadly I don't know if I will be able to find the happy blue frogs design - not sure if Sunbeam still make it.

Not Happy – Purchase a Single bed Sunbeam safe and Sound Waterproof electric blanket Winter 2012 for my son who was still in a cot. Put it away until he grew into a bed in 2013. Pulled it out winter 2013 as he has now moved into a bed. Unfortunately it didn't even last the winter season. Took it to get repaired but Sunbeam don't want to know about it (don't have receipt as we have moved house). Since researched it and this model comes with a 3 year warranty. I brought this brand as our bed has a Sunbeam electric blanket and its been fantastic. Thought i was buying a reliable brand but I guess not. This model was a pricey but i was happy to pay for at the time. Wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone anymore. Would have thought at this price it would have least lasted through 2 Winters (didn't even make one winter). Our cheaper model has lasted 5 years. Its a worry when the danger of a fire to a faulty blanket. Waterproof while it lasted Expensive and didn't even last 3 months, bad warranty service

Excellent – Love it, bought one for both my children in a king single (plain brown in colour rather than the blue design in the picture) and feel very secure when they have it on all night! Fitted, comfy, runs only on timer settings so you can't ever accidentally leave it on, heat adjusts to body temp so kids can't overheat, use it as a matress protector only in the warmer months also.

not overly happy – Purchased it this time last year, have kept aside until my daughter was old enough to sleep in a bed as figured it would be a safe option. Have since put on bed this winter and the controller does not appear to be working it flickers briefly and does not heat so has effectively not been used yet. Certainly not safe to leave on the bed. Not sure how long the warranty lasts as cannot find the card as moved house in between. For what your paying, I would expect it to work and have been quality checked before selling it. Only purchased it as we have one on our bed which is great and works fine. Will try store I purchased it from but not sure it will make a great deal of difference as more than likely past it's warranty period as with most things of it's nature. The waterproof design idea as considered it safe the fact the controller was faulty have not been able to use it for it's purpose.

Excellent – Excellent electric blanket for toddlers and kids. Has 9 settings of heat, but 1-4 is enough for us. Polar fleece is lovely and soft and the blanket can still be used with a mattress protector (not a plastic one, just a material one) and sheet on top. Only two cons for me, is the one mentioned - it takes a long time to dry, and also, that the controller is fixed on the right hand side, which for me, means that to adjust it (turn it up or down), I have to lean right over my daughter when she's in bed (I'm short) and nearly wake (or squash!) her. Overall - the best kids' waterproof electric blanket ever. Very plush, hugely adjustable heat setting. Love that my daughter is safe in even if she has a night time 'accident'. Machine washable BUT takes a long time to dry - is only allowed in the dryer for 15 minutes.
