Extremely poor product and service – On my second, when the 1st one stopped working after 1year I just bought another now this one has stopped error 2 contacted sunbeam they want videos etc to prove my point which I cannot send a 4second review as there website won’t accomodate it so looks like ime off to buy another brand. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Coffee machine doesn't brew, and Ec6 error code pops up – Just bought this coffee machine, after following steps listed in the manual, the error code "Ec6" comes up. The thing I find the most irritating is the fact that inside the manual, there is no FAQ, or troubleshooting part for it at all. Love this drip coffee machine – Consistently great tasting coffee - easy to use and the hotplate keeps anything left in the pot warm for ages. No issues whatsoever. We open the lid (where you pour the water/add the coffee) slowly after using it, and wipe the hinge-side of the machine to avoid drips down the side of the machine - we only do this cos someone left a review saying that was an issue for them! Good coffee machine – I bought this because it looks nicer than my old Sunbeam filter Machine…which, incidentally, is still going strong after years of use. I love it. I have had expensive espresso machines but the espresso taste is too overpowering for me…filter brewed coffee is much more smooth and mellow. grounds. If you leave the grounds in the basket for a while it drains just fine. It’s only sloppy if you empty it immediately after brewing. I leave mine in there till I want to brew fresh coffee… but one doesn’t have to leave it that long. My filter is always bone dry. Some other comments have said condensation drips all over the bench. It does….if you lift the lid up straight immediately. I just open it partly…..tap it sharply a couple of times and all the condensation drips back into the tank. The coffee is great, just how I like it….soooo easy to use, nothing to it….water in, coffee in, push a button…done.I am definitely not a coffee conniseur , but I do like a good cup of coffee
Weak, "thin" coffee – We purchased the Sunbeam PC8100 coffee dripolator as the nearest to an ageing Phillips unit we have used for many years. The coffee produced by the PC8100 is weak, or "thin" which I attribute to the hot water running through the coffee grounds too quickly. Machine otherwise, does all is claims to do but if the output is not as palatable as our old machine, then this was not a good purchase to replace the old machine. Show details

Great but – Ive previously had the PC7900 model which we loved. A recent power surge killed it so I bought this model PC8100. I love its slim design and the functions, it's great having 4 hours warm time instead of 2hrs. any condensation on the inside drips outside the cup when pouring. Also the sideways flip top, when lifting it any condensation pours down the side of the machine. Still, I love the coffee it makes and the auto brew.

Stopped working just out of warranty period – Did work fine for a few months, then just sort of gave up. Error codes popping up, would steam and hiss without making coffee, began beeping endlessly when it was powered, the time display stopped showing the minutes and finally stopped working completely. Great morning start – Love this machine, simple and easy. The only problem is finding a coffee that I like. Love the time delay, I set it up ready to go 10min prior to me getting up. The coffee has stayed hot for the whole 4 hrs, I have had no problems in the heating. It is very stylish and that was a selling point, easy to clean. Show details · 1
Great Machine, just what I expected – Good quality machine, fast brewing, can also set time delay to wake to a morning brew. A++ Coffee quality is consistent and I just need to adjust the amount of coffee I put into the machine, has a great guide on how many scoops etc... you need to work out your flavour and strength by experimenting (A good thing not bad). keeps hot for over 3 hours. Would recommend. Only down side, the water filter inserts aren't readily available at the retailer to buy easily, need replacing monthly.
