Sushi Train

Went to Sushi Train in St Peters Adelaide at around 3pm on a Friday. No person on the floor to greet and seat me. A sushi chef told me to sit anywhere, I did, and the guy on the floor eventually came out and told me how to order using the QR code system. Your ordering system is really bad. Takes ages to load and lags in responsiveness when ordering. The "Add" button to add sushi to your cart was cut off on my mobile phone screen and the search function was non responsive. I was supposed to be chilled, enjoying a cheeky sushi on a Friday arvo but instead was aggravated at the clunkiness of your ordering system.
I got 2 mixed sashimi plates and 1 salmon sashimi plate. The moment I had a close look at the 2 mixed sashimi plates I complained about the quality as the fish looked terrible, really bad - opaque and discoloured. A sushi chef offered to make fresh ones for me, I agreed to that and she prepped me fresh ones that were OK. The poor guy on the floor was a trainee and was working his butt off with no help from anyone else whatsoever. I felt a bit bad for him actually.
This is an issue with management and corporate 100%. Don't take any of this out on your workers at St Peters. This is an issue with whoever is managing your shop and their higher managers. Corporate decided to implement the laggiest, clunkiest most non-responsive ordering system imaginable. I'm not going back. You've lost me as a customer. There are plenty of other sushi joints about that I'm now going to frequent.

It is the fraud – This place is a fraud. We made an order through an app scanning a barcode on the table. The app has certain prices for the sushi. Then they bring the sushi on plates, some of which correspond to higher prices than the prices on the menu. We caught them on that, we talked to 3 different staff members and they were not at all surprised. They admitted that they do it regularly, but still wanted us to pay the higher price.

High Quality well presented and great service – I have been frequenting this place for a few months now. It’s close to home and a great spot for a quick sushi fix. I was only introduced to sushi, relatively late in life but have always enjoyed it since and there is good selection of dishes on the train even though I usually only go during the week days at off peak times. I find this Sushi train site to be fresh and delicious. Good selections of fishes, meats, tempura selections, advocado/tuna being my favourite and desserts. The team are very attentive and the service fast and efficient. For me this is the ideal location.
