good for 2 hours – From brand new Initially cut well first 1hr & 1/2 then slowly lost power, the correct 40 to 1 fuel mix was used and saw was treated kindly. After 2 hours it would not start good spark, and carburetor adjustments not touched. When pulled down badly scored piston and cylinder. Running to lean?????

Sounds Good – A friend gave me an old 38 cc Talon. It had something I've never seen before on a chain saw, a broken crankshaft. Put me right off the brand. Now I find they are made by Huscavana and they seem to have improved dramatically. What I like about these saws is that they are made in one piece, not two like the Ryobi, Millers Falls etc. with the… Read more

motor on one and the tanks on another with rubber mounts and spring between them which tear through and break causing the oil pipe to come apart and leak all the oil. With the Talon the body is connected to the handle with three heavy indestructable springs which absorb the vibration, a vastly better arrangement. If the Baumr AG I've just ordered turns into a bomb I might just get one of these to add to my pile of cheap chainsaws.

Awesome saw for the price – Bought this recently on clearance, saw has heaps of power, starts easily and runs really well. Comes standard with an Oregon chain and bar, has a walbro carby and pretty decent mostly metal construction. Would pay 4x as much for a better brand. Can't complain about anything, included hard case also. Talon was made by Husqvarna Heaps of power, easy to start, runs great Heavy, talon not around anymore

Good – owned a few saws over the years, this ones as good as any ive used, every saw is unreliable if not used correctly, from my years as a small engine mechanic i learned all are different, you need to know its quirks and all fuel must be fresh, clean and FILTERED before it hits the tank. from what ive seen the ones who complain about a product dont… Read more

know how to treat them. powerful, starts easily, cost $160 new, normally cant even buy a bar and chain for that people with leading brands laugh at you. Until you leave them for dead when cutting, my trailers full of wood while theyre still cutting.

Excellent – top class saw, does everything I want to do with it with no troubles at all, can't ask for more priced well, does the job and matches the higher priced so called name brands that can be 2 or more times the price

Good – Aside from the chain brake issue this is a saw. With its easy to start 55cc engine you would scratching to find any thing better for the price. For $249 NZ a sturdy and powerful saw After 20hrs use There is too much wear to the chain brake(sprocket fly contacts the brake band). With another few hours use, the chain brake will fail.
