Great value for the price – Light easy to use, had for over 5 years now, cut 30 plus palm trees. New chain and get the mix right it is a bargain. I have recommended to friends and all that buy one agree its a must have. I will definitely buy another if needed and take the old one straight to the Pool Room! Cheap light and keeps on going
OK – Good house-hold saw. I recon it is great for someone who uses it every now and then, even to cut the odd trailer load of wood. I have a few Talon products and they haven't let me down. I do look after them - as in keep them in a nice dry environment, and change the plug every 12 months. I won't use it for 12 months and she will start within 3 pulls.Pretty easy to maintain. Runs too rich (25:1), I have leaned it out to 33:1. The bar is fairly flimsy and the stock chain is average.
Good – great saw, some people bag it, all manufacturers produce a lemon now and then, even Stihl. Been using saws for thirty years, best value for money by far. Cheap to buy, easy to start, has done tons of work around the farm, weighs next to nothing, better than the little husky it replaced. Can't seem to find a screwdriver to fit the mixture adjustments,
Terrible – went out and spent the extra dough on a new Stihl. What a difference!!!! a better way of cutting timber would be to fill the dam thing with ultra unleaded, leave the cap off, carefully place the the thing by the log and apply a "Bryant & May" no redeaming features what so ever! If one could apply a rating below zero that's where this unmitigated pile of #^*@ should be! almost impossible to start without using aero start,
had two oil pumps fitted after failures and chain lock up's,
vibrates like nothing else on earth, maximum use time about 5 minutes before your hands fall off,
Clutch will not release and can't undo the nut to service it!
constantly leaks oil from the filler cap when on the shelf
