Has been great – I can take this down the back of or yard with the baby asleep in the house and it works fine I have never had a problem! We love it! Have had it for 3yrs and now brought the newest one for my new baby to keep at the in laws!

Terrible... Waste of money – Sound goes in and out... The camera is good but I can hear my son cry before the monitor picks it up. The video monitor is also bright and with sound dropping in and out it is not the best thing to sleep beside. Don't waste your time or money

Waste of time – Only buy this if you live in a house with paper thin walls, couple of solid walls and a door and its out of range

Annoying faults – I bought this monitor after reading some positive reviews but I am taking it back for a refund. It constantly beeps and goes out of range even if I'm only a few metres away from the camera. This is extremely annoying when trying to sleep! There is also a flickering light on the video monitor. Would not recommend. Cheaper than other brands flickering light, beeping (out of range)

Not the best – Wouldn't say it's the best. I can hear bub crying/making noise with my own ears before the monitor picks up noise (even when I've been asleep and woken to her crying). It will pick up a truck rattling down the street before my daughters crying. I use it now only for the purpose of keeping an eye on her.

A gamble, but it paid off for us – We have had 3 years use out of our video monitor, so I think for an $80 purchase price we have been lucky. When we had a 2nd child we actually bought another one, thinking that we could have our panel of monitors set up in our room ;) The problem with that plan is that not all monitors are made equal. The 2nd monitor that we bought (same… Read more

model, but bought 18 months later) had a display that was very grainy. So grainy that it was sometimes hard to make out where our baby was in the cot. That's a bit pointless really. And we had the original monitor giving us a nice clear picture. So we returned it for a refund after about 3 months of trying to use it.

So, considering that we got our money back for the dodgy one, and that our original has had 3 year of use, I would recommend it. But if you have problems, take it back and get a replacement. Don't accept a grainy picture, because they are not meant to be like that!

The only thing we did not like about it is that we had it set to voice activation during the night and it is quite noisy when it clicks on. I wish it had a less sensitive setting so you could set it to only go off when your child has reached a point where they are really making some noise. Cheap, good picture. Noisy when it clicks on during the night.

Not too bad of a product – My mum prompted me one day about this monitor she saw in Target and I decided to buy one. I thought it was pricey $120 but I found out after using it after a month that it was well moneys spent! It helped me settle my baby instead doing the guess work. The functions of the monitor is easy and basic and can be taken with me anywhere in the house,… Read more

even in the backyard while I relaxed by the poolside (bonus!). The volume is adjustable and can be made silent. The brightness can also be turned up or down. The only couple of things I didn't like is that it does make a static noise when the monitor is turned on. Also another static noise while the VOX is set on (i.e. happens when the screen turns itself on automatically). Lastly, the melody is not a function I use much and a couple of times, I pressed it by accident and woke my baby up. It would be great if the melody function wasn't a round button but instead a flick on/off button. Was really glad I bought the monitor for its main use Slight static noise and also didn't really need the melody function

Basics dont work – We bought the monitor as we we given one with our first child, but got rid of it after the vox stopped working, our child was older by then. BUT WAIT the vox doesnt work on the one we bought days ago - its always on if the a/c is on, and randomly comes on when the room is empty... This is VERY annoying if your trying to sleep as the monitor keeps… Read more

turning on for no reason! Will be taking it back. The camera is updated, it's stuck to the stand, probably better, but they need to make an attachment so you can hang the camera over the edge of a shelf for a good view of the baby. Video is pretty good quality / range was ok for a average house / music & night light were good vox doesnt work (massive issue)

Will it be 3rd time lucky? – This is our 2nd monitor! First screen had a pixel blown and the vox didn't work so it was lit up constantly. This new one's audio doesn't work, there is picture but no sound. She cries and it won't register. Not overly impressed, especially when I've heard really good reports... It's inexpensive and doesn't humm, only kicks in when she cries As… Read more

this is our 2nd monitor both with problems, I can't say it's very reliable... Sound not working, vox not working, you really need these to be reliable especially when your baby is involved.

Extremely happy – Very happy with my purchase, got it for 119 bux at target. Video is clear and range is exceptional also. I like the fact it doesn't pick up the quiet sounds he makes when sleeping. I would definitely reccomend this to anybody. The vox function is great. Not sure why people don't like it. Cheap, the vox function, exceptionally quiet transmission. Can't control volume of lullabys and would be handy if it could be wall mounted.

No sound – second Target one we have had, the first one's screen was badly scratched. When exchanged it, all the monitors were scratched, they are obvioulsy not protected in their boxes. This one does not pick up much sound, the sound turns off unless my son is yelling, you cant hear him rolling around or breathing, the reason for us buying it. The picture… Read more

also cuts in and out.

Will be investing in a more expensive one that actually works. Has no constant buzzing sound like the ones i have tried from Kmart (dont buy those either) no sound, pic cuts in and out, not a big range of movability with camera as the base of it is quite small

Fantastic, wish I had of bought it sooner! – Great video monitor, clear picture, no constant buzzing, long battery life. This really is a great product, I love being able to check on my son without waking him, especially when he is making noise but not quite awake - I don't wake him by opening the door. I only wish I had of bought sooner! reasonably priced, easy to use, great features. It would be good to be able to leave the sound on rather than it cutting out after a set time.

A Cheaper Monitor that does its job wonderfully – This monitor has all the great features like the $200+ but cost a lot less, especially when you grab it for 1/2 price on their sales (seems to frequently happen). There a lot of buttons that put me in more control over what I am seeing and hearing and the quality of it. I have never had problems with interference and when I do I just need to… Read more

adjust and it quickly and easily is back to working. The adjustable buttons and options, night vision and night light (very handy!), cost, interference free vision and audio Very little but if I had to say something the screen to be bigger, this can be fixed though by plugging it into your tv etc. I 'm probably being a bit picky saying that though cause I like to spy on my son and see everything including his chest moving hehehe

Good cheap monitor – A good video monitor for an excellent price. We had been looking for a video monitor but with the majority of them over $200 they were a bit out of our reach, finanically. When we saw the Target Digital Video Monitor on sale for $100 we thought we would give it a go. Inexpensive, good picture, long range between camera and video monitor, good… Read more

battery life on video monitor, vox function is a good addition, like the camera is a magnetic can attach to portacot when visiting relations Vox function is too senstive, picks up fan or wind which can be annoying, night light could be brighter

Great product only cost $99 on sale – I like this product as I can see my baby's face and can see if he has pulled the wrap up over his face, it has helped me sleep as if I wake at night I can just open my eyes and look at my baby through the monitor and I don't need to get up. It is true what another poster said about how this monitor only picks up a set sound however I like this as… Read more

my baby is very loud and I don't hear his grizzles while he is sleeping which then lets me sleep until he actually is awake yelling out for a feed. Target often has this on sale for about $99 which I would only pay for this monitor if you are looking at it for full price I would probably choose something with a few more features. Easy to use, able to see baby at night time, paid $99 The music that it plays can't be turned down (you don't have to use the music though)

Great value for money product! – We bought this for $99 when it first came out and we really couldn't do without it! With our first baby we had a sound only monitor which broke when she became too inquisitive and we then bought a more expensive video monitor that didn't have the reception that this one has and also broke not long after we bought it... We couldn't go back to a… Read more

sound only monitor after that and this one is the best value for money product on the market.

Does everything you need it to with the added bonus being able to see what your precious little one gets up to when you are not physically there :) Great quality, easy to use, value for money!! Music volume can not be controlled so I just don't use that feature..

Cheap option when on sale at Target for low budget – Cheap product when on sale. Reasonable product for a video camera if you have a limited budget. But do wait til it goes on sale. Good picture quality. Good lullabies. Night vision is good. The background noise is very loud. There is a VOX option, but seems to flick on randomly, can't adjust sensitivity. Good music/lullabies, Cheap when on sale… Read more

for a video monitor, night and day peace of mind Drop out/Out of range fairly frequent, noisy parent unit, can keep you up, VOX option randomly comes on, can't adjust the sensitivity

OK – good product but not high on safety due to the audio issue. it would have been utterly perfect if not for this. would not buy again! Night vision long life battery music night light clear screen it is pre set voice activated so the baby has to make a certain amount of noise for the volume to turn on though you can see them on the screen the… Read more

whole time. This was not really what I was after and had I known that I would not have bought it. I like hearing the babies snuffles when i want too and wish i could just adjust the volume to hear. shame.
