Bought 12 months ago and still running fine – TV works great, Apps "Youtube/Netflix/etc" are a lil slow to respond at times. Less than 5 seconds wait though. Picture and Sound quality are what you would expect at that price point, if not a little better. We have it running wifi through our pc and haven't had any issues with the wifi connection.  Show details

4K playback with DTS – This model is discontinued so it is likely a bit late for this advice. If you want to play movies from USB and it has the DTS sound codec, don't. The picture will be discoloured and the sound won't play as DTS is not supported by TCL TVs except for the latest 2018 models. Pity, as I can play these USBs on my older Samsung Plasma with no trouble. It appears to have taken TCL a while to catch up with the field.  Show details

As a gaming or TV screen it's a good buy for the money. Not the smoothest picture for movies or sports but that's what $2-3-4k TV's are for. Same goes for the sound, Smart TV functionality, recording etc. Use it for what it is and you'll be satisfied with it.

sound is insanely loud for no reason.

Netflix has also frozen loading - consistently does it on 24% but at least allows you to exit and reload.

The panel is fairly good for the price but I will not be buying another TCL tv in the future.

Don't assume things about a to just coz its smart – Slow warm up. Slow to change channels. Can't record and use a non to ( HDMI) channel. Big ugly recording block on tv when recording. Can't switch sound from to external speakers even after changing settings. Can't record tv programme and watch something on another hdmi channel - how can it not do this. Very pleased – I am very happy with the picture quality and sound and the over all appearance of the TV. It is a smart TV and please that method Netflix is already on it but all little disappointed it does come with other apps such as Stan. I have only had a quick look at the other apps so can't really comment on them, but I am very pleased with my purchase (the cost was a factor and I feel I got value for my money). Good basic Smart TV – I don't have a problem with this smart Tv. It's mid range price suits its mid range quality. Picture and sound is fine for its price. Web browsing, Netflix and YouTube are simple to use via the control with their own button slightly slow I must admit but its no biggy. Overall happy with the Tv for the price we paid.  Show details

Not great – The apps stopped working quite quickly. Tried running updates and they still don't work. Luckily my DVD player has Netflix so I can use through that. TV still works just fine but has issues loading and the little loading circle doesn't disappear sometimes. Have to shut it off and turn it back on again. Picture is good and built in WIFI is fast enough. Still can't give it a high rating as it just doesn't do what it's supposed too.  Show details

Price is good – Good price only although is 4K tv but when you put one tcl and other LG together you can see TCL colours is light and too bright not warm at all. So you can see the difference. So I am not buy that and will pay little bit more for LG or sansung!  Show details

It's good for the price – Well it's good for watching 4 k movies or regular channels, however it does sometimes not please me when it is used for streaming online. The mouse sometimes lags on the screen. But I got this easily solved by contacting tcl services and with a simple update it was working fine just like new.  Show details

Value for money – I bought this TV in Oct last year. So far I am happy with this TV overall. Picture quality is good, sound quality is ok (not the greatest but acceptable). Wifi connection works smoothly and we watch a lot of youtube on the tv. Recently got netflix as well and that also runs rather smoothly. Good value – I purchased this TV about 8 months ago. I am happy with picture quality however I've seen better pic quality on other brands. Sound is not great. I hate its remote control and the way of navigation on the remote. Once you enter Netflix or other applications you can't simply return back to main. You have to press couple of buttons to go back. that I can plug it into my laptop and play them from there with the HD cable instead, so that's how we get around that problem. It would be good to be able to play all files directly from the USB though as it's a bit of an inconvenience at times having to hook it up to the laptop. I would recommend investing in a HD DVD player to go with this TV, we upgraded to one when we bought the TV. With the combo of the two, the DVD picture quality is amazing! We don't use any of the Smart TV features of this TV as we don't have enough internet at home, so can't comment on these.

It's ok – Good picture no complaints there, colours bright, contrast good. The sound is a bit unclear. Muffled at mid range. Youtube app no longer works (they need to update it) There's an app store, you'll never use it because it's slow and uninteresting. Supports hbbtv which is good. Poor TCL customer service - Remote problem – very very bad customer service...... Remote problem...... consumes battery a lot and not working properly. WASTE OF MONEY BUYING A SMART TV - doesn't work - DONT BUY A SMART TV – When trying to connect to the internet it just sits there buffering. Can't even get onto facebook. scam. Finally got foxtel - HD fantastic, but the LED background can be ghostly still, and now the channels don't even go through the smart tv, so I don't even need a smart tv with foxtel.

Variety with my remote – I love this TV. I had a LCD 50" before this one but saw this one in the store after Thanksgiving. Its a 55" Ruku TV and I am having fun picking different apps to use with it. ports for the older game systems. I have had some lag while watching but, because it is only as good as my internet, my internet flickers on occasion (haven't gotten fiber optic yet). I have not had it freeze or lock up as of yet like a computer can. I can use my Netflix and Amazon Prime through direct apps on this TV. You can also add some of the "on the go" satellite apps on here to be able to catch up on your favorite shows (must already have access for log in). I can't honestly say about the built in speakers because I have built in surround sound hooked in. I usually have mine on 24 hours a day and it doesn't give me any trouble. I would buy this TV again.

Never will i get another – Purchased 55" smart tv from radio rentals. Only channel ive been able to get via aerial is ch 44 and even then its jumpy/skipping. Plug another's tv in using same roof aerial and is fine. Only app i can download and that isnt asain shows is netflix. Tv 4 weeks old and now lost all picture only have sound  Show details
