Bad experience – Do not buy or deal with TCL. I purchased a TCL 65 inch TV just after the 3 year warranty it failed. They refused to repair it. The only offer was to buy the TV at a discounted price. That price was more expensive than I can buy from my local shopping centre. 3 years for the life of a expensive TCL TV is totally unacceptable. Again do not buy a TCL TV.

Most annoying tv I’ve ever owned – I think it must be the wifi receiver that is absolute garbage, I’m so sick of the apps taking so long to load or just loading indefinitely, apps dropping out, not being able to change the channel you are watching within the same app, just bounces back continuously to the channel you’re trying to change. DO NOT BUY THIS TV!! Show details

Don't waste your money look at all of the reviews before you buy – 65 inch smart TV just three weeks out of warranty with a black screen ,got sound but no picture ,it seems to be a very common fault ,look at all reviews don't even entertain buying one of these TVs I found it never connected to the internet properly always had to reset it ,absolutely piece of garbage expected at the last longer than 3 years paid $1,000 for it through the good guys Show details

BULB ISSUES WITH THIS TV TWICE !! – We have had two of these (brand new from jb hi fi) within the last 18 months break due to the internal light bulb going.. twice. Two of the same TV's with the same issue. Do not recommend. Tried to rectify the issue with Tcl The first time and it took 4 weeks to get a resolution. Their support is rubbish and they just keep procrastinating to avoid having to fix the issue. Show details

Waste of time and money – Not even 1 year of use, I just doesn't work. Once I try open an app it doesn't work. I knew this brand would be the best, but at least I was expecting to be able to watch TV. But can't. Waste of time and money. I don't know how the big stores still sells it. Show details

TCL - terrible!! – TCL is the most utterly worthless"smart"" TV on the market. Please don't make my mistake and buy a TCL; you'll regret it. The Android version that comes with this steaming pile of junk doesn't actually run any of the applications that I want to use. Don't even start me on the picture quality. At the end of the day you get what you've pay for. TCL… Read more

might be cheap but please, please buy a smaller Sony, LG, etc. that you can afford. Buying a TCL will only only leave a bitter taste in your mouth, wishing you either saved up longer or downsized your ambition to a smaller TV. When I bought a 65" TCL I gave my 55" Sony to my parents. I wish I could get my old TC back!

Wost TV I have ever had!!! – Bought this TV from HN and told by the salesman that it work with other devices. Not the case. CEC & ARC do not work, most apps are in Chinese, Freeview crashes, YouTube intermittently crashes, and the customer service is dismal. I have contacted TCL numerous times and they keep getting me to update the software which fixes nothing. They then sent… Read more

a technician who replaced the main board to which also fixed nothing. They will not honer their warrantee and replace or refund the the TV. If you want any of the above from a TV, do not buy a TCL TV.

Awesome Tv, Would Literally Buy One For Every Room If I Could – We really love this tv - the clarity, the focus, the size; it's just amazing! Or shows look better than they every have, and the HD is brilliant - when I watch my trashy Housewives, I can actually see now that they have flaws, lol. Great tv, highly recommended  Show details

TCL won’t honour their warranty – This 65” unit worked as expected for a couple of months then it developed a discolouration (grey patch) near the center of the screen. TCL replaced the TV with a 65e17US which has terrible contrast compared to the model I purchased (3000:1 vs 4000:1) and it won’t play a lot of media my other TV’s do. TCL have given me the run around after 8-9… Read more

phone calls and 4 months they have refused to replace it with a model that has the same 4000:1 contrast factor. Very disappointed with their level of customer service and professionalism of call center staff but I will exhaust all avenues for a decent replacement and I will never make the mistake of purchasing from this company again.

Still good TV – We bought 65" TCL 4K LED Smart tv 1.5 yr ago. I am impress the quality of the picture. Plenty of HDMI port. The only downside is when you turn on the TV it takes time the remote to actually change the tv channel or to turn the volume up, well i guess the operating system of this TV takes time to kick in.  Show details

Great TV, as long as you at a good price – Pros Picture quality is good, Good number of ports Comes with 3 year warranty Cons No issues operating it so far, however UI is a bit slow SBS on demand app is outdated and does not work One dead pixel Other: As with nearly all LCD tvs, the internal speakers are poor, so recommend getting external speakers (actually just use a UE Boom and it does the job)  Show details

It's really good price, I can't tell any differences from other $4000 brands – Great picture quality in 4k, tried to watch many 4k contents really clear sharp pics, good speakers, I don't consider to buy additional speakers at all , have enough ports to be able to connect with loptop or hard drive , the smart TV with many features, be able to watch worldwide channels via WiFi and YouTube , so many free TV programs available.  Show details

Great TV for the price – We bought the TCL 4K LED Smart tv after our 7-year old Samsung died. Have had it for almost a year now. We're happy with the picture quality. Not very often we get to watch 4K films but with some that we've seen, the quality is amazing with 400Hz CMI great for action movies and we haven't complain once. If I really have to pick something bad about… Read more

it, it will be TCL hasn't made downloading apps an easy thing. I just don't seem to be able to download ABC iView. If anyone knows how to do it, please let me know. Thanks.

Not too bad for price – Internet connectivity is not fast enough. Even it drops out unexpectedly. Next time I will avoid cheep tv. Picture quality is not the issue. But this smart TV is not smart enough on internet side. May be requires better processor or something I dont know. Still not too bad for price.  Show details

Dumbest smart TV on the planet – Picture quality is great but sometimes the speech lags behind so you have mouths moving and the words a few seconds after. Plenty of USB ports but the operating system is another thing altogether. It has pre loaded 4-5 apps and regardless of what you do, you cannot access anything else. Ours is connected to the internet by cable because it… Read more

wouldn't connect wireless but still says no internet but can bring up Youtube. Had lots of different people try to get it to work and have now given up. I have a 4K TV and that is it. I could have had a 65cm Sony Bravia smart TV non 4K for the same price - SHOULD HAVE GONE THAT WAY. Probably will never consider a TCL TV again.

Good picture and sound, very poor user interface TERRIBLE tech support – The picture quality is very good. I do find it to be somewhat hard to see if the room is too bright. Sound quality is good. The menu options allow for decent personalisation of the sound quality. There are plenty of connection options, and I like having a number of the USB and HDMI sockets located on the side of the unit as it is very large… Read more

and would be a nightmare to have to move each time you wanted to add or remove something.

Unfortunately I have had a lot of problems with the software side of this unit. I have had to do a complete factory reset a number of times and despite receiving a software update from the company (see below) am still experiencing issues.

## Despite claims on TCL site this tv is NOT 100% compliant with FreeView plus at the time of writing##

Despite being a smartTV the smart functions are fairly terrible. The interface is hard to use and the preinstalled "apps" are pointless. There is No ability to install new apps. The Linux OS is dreadful.

The "App Store" is just a link to terrible web based apps that rarely work and there are no instructions on how to use them.

TCLs tech support is TERRIBLE. The overseas call centre staff do not understand the problems and only ever want to send you an email with an update. They will not believe that you have already installed the update. They have lied to me on several occasions.

To solve several major software issues I eventually contacted their Australian sales office and spoke with a manager there who sent me the update I needed on a USB (the online update service does not currently work). At the time of writing I still experience problems with Netflix, FreeView Plus and YouTube, which will hopefully be corrected with an upcoming update.

Great value for money – Have had this for the past 2 weeks, and have watched some 4k content, as well as 1080 and 720p content. The tv does a great job at upscaling, and 1080p content sitll looks amazing. 720p is not bad but not great either. The real magic is the 4k, which looks absolutely phenomenal. The remote is massive, and makes a clicking noise when you… Read more

use the buttons - but apart from that, it functions well etc.

Sound quality is impressive for a TV, and having 4 HDMI ports is a life saver.

I have been watching a fair bit of EPL using the Fetch TV mini, and it's great. There is occasional motion blur but it only happens 3 or 4 times over a whole game and lasts less than a second. I need to play around with the settings a bit more to see if something can be done. Apart from those moments, the EPL looks great.

Overall, for the price, this TV is amazing.
