I started buying from Tea Life roughly around 2019/2020 (pretty sure it was around 2018-2019 when I first discovered Tea Life, as I remember drinking the herbal teas before my husband and I were married).
Quality herbal teas before I started trying their Chinese teas. I bought Da Hong Bao from Toby and asked him if I order it, will I be able to receive it before a specific date (my fault for leaving tea ceremony favours to the last minute).
He responded and said it might not but he'll post it that day for me to see. I was happy to give it a shot, it did make it in time and the tea was heavenly!
Since that day, I have always encouraged my colleagues and friends to buy from Toby as I trust him and the quality of the products that he buys for this year store.
I'm particularly fussy with my Chinese tea as I grew up drinking it. Can guarantee you will receive good quality Chinese tea!
I recently bought a few more Chinese teas to try, and have started drinking the Jasmine Green Rolled Tea and it's delicious with strong jasmine flavour.
I regret buying the small bag but will definitely buy it again when I inevitably purchase my next batch of teas!

Fantastic tea. Fabulous and prompt communication from owners. We are tea connoisseurs and have tried 8 different teas from TeaLife and so far find that they have the best tea you can buy in Australia. Their Camomile is out of this world top quality. Their Spearmint and Peppermint teas are second to none. The Ginger tea at times a short wait list but well worth it. The Lemongrass amazing. Both Red Clover and the Raspberry teas are awesome. Negligent business owners! Will stop purchasing from Tea Life after we received our packages with no expiry dates, and the reasoning why they don't have expiry dates on their packaging is extremely misleading and concerning, which means if they write pesticide free, is that true since they lie about the expiry dates, too many risks I'm not… Read more
willing to take! Something is a miss with these people, in 2022, my partner had issues with them claiming to have sent our teas, but then blaming Australia post for them getting lost.
Great Tea, Wonderful customer service – Got tea for myself and my family in NZ. He sealed vacuum packed and everything knowing I will be travelling. We really find it so beneficial healthwise. The hibiscus tea helped with my BP and the sourop seemed to have supplement my dad's cancer treatment. Needless to say, will definitely buying more. Thank you Show reply
Best tea ever – Best tea company ever! Customer services is the freaking best. My parcel got stolen one day (not the company fault, it was my apartment fault). The owner willingly sent me another package free of charge, I didn't even ask for it! Everything was too good with this company. And yes, it is better than T2, price and taste wise.
My 5-star experience – I've found it challenging to find certain teas available in Australia but Tea life has mullein tea to the dandelion root tea and definitely plan to be a life long customer of theirs. Good service and great communication!

Received my order of Hibiscus Tea just as we were sitting down to breakfast – The delivery was early and in immaculate order as it usually is. The rush was on for the kettle and we are enjoying the best tea yet. No need for a ‘sweet tooth’ addition of honey or sweetener, this tea stands alone in sweetness. Show reply
Not really happy – I ordered tea for Christmas presents, sadly not only is the packaging really unpleasant and cheap looking but the tea was packaged with no packaging in a plastic bag so arrived very crumpled and not gift suitable. I won’t be back.

Website confusion order, refused to refund – Ordered tea which was fine. End of order added ORGANIC tea bags assuming they had tea in them. Bags were empty. They refused to refund/credit blaming my inattention. They admitted previous website confusion for same issue.

Throw it in the bin – I ordered hibiscus which I normally do and when I opened the packet it was brown instead of red, it was covered in dust, was rock hard and smelt almost like mould (I emailed tealife WITH multiple photos and never received any response…. Took money, no invoice, no confirmation, no answer to emails – Backyard business with no store. I placed an order and paid, thank goodness I used paypal so there was a record of it. No invoice, no confirmation of order, no shipping notice. Nothing. So a couple of days later I emailed to ask what was going on. No response. response to my where is my order enquiry. So I rang, and spoke to the owner who said he cant talk because he's stepped out and will call me back later, which he did.
He wanted my name (not the order number) and messed it up until I spelled it out letter by letter. He said no such order. So I gave him the invoice number on the paypal receipt and he argued and said not his and no such number. Then he insisted there is no such order (even after I gave him date and details) and told me I must have been dealing with a different business so why don't I ring them!
I read out the details of the paypal transaction which had this business name on it and asked is that you?? And when he reluctantly admitted that was his business name, he was then told to login to his paypal account and find it. Then he had trouble doing a search on paypal etc etc and couldn't find the transaction, apparently.
By now I have had enough, and told him while he's in paypal to cancel and refund and he told me no and that he'd do it through his shopify. And sure enough, paypal sent me a notice of refund......Without the shipping. When I checked it and pointed out that it's only a part refund, I then told him go to paypal and refund the rest! He made some comments about his emails and refund going to junk mail and he had refunded, and I should go find his emails in my junk folder. I told him I run my own servers, do not run junk filters so that's not possible. Then I got the rest of my refund and paypal sent me the appropriate notices for the 2 part refunds which together then made up a full refund.
Still nothing received from this backyard business, either about the paid order or the refund. Nothing. Thank god for using paypal which showed a record of everything.
Never again.
EDIT:============= I am adding this because untrue statements have been made against myself and my person by the representative who responded below. Over a year after my review and the transaction. Firstly, my statement is true to the letter, but I feel the response is similar to my customer experience. Blame the customer and make excuses. Untrue ones. My name and details are the same as in paypal, in fact when you pay with paypal, those exact details are what ends up on the invoice and order fields for the vendor, and anyone who uses PP and any business who accepts PP, knows that. I therefore wonder at the purpose of those untrue and defamatory remarks from the rep?
I have not and did not provide any "other and different" details to this person or business at any time.
When I was trying to get either my order or a refund, I provided the PP transaction number (which cannot have confusing or different details) and the Invoice Number (from his business) which appeared on the PP transaction. He denied the existence of both the invoice (which never arrived by email) and pretended he also could not find the PP transaction number. So I took him through it step by step on how to find a PP transaction number. Then he told me he had refunded, but had only part refunded (had to be done manually) and the shipping component was NOT refunded. He kept that. And some further efforts were required to get the shipping I paid, also refunded. Esp considering that he continually claimed he had received no such order, despite now having proved both the order and the payment.
I would never shop with this person again, based on the ordering experience, the part refund, the denial of monies received, and now, over a year later, this untrue, and in my opinion defamatory response. But readers will have to make up their own minds and read other people's experiences, which may differ to my own.

Excellent variety – I wanted to try out different loose leaf teas but not ready to commit to 100g packs yet. Their teas come in varying pack sizes. Perhaps like most people, I drink tea for health reasons. Tea life's range is quite extensive and each blend has a description of their ingredients and benefits. My order was dispatched within a day and arrived 2 days after. Overall I had a pleasant shopping experience with Tea life. I have only sampled their Genmaicha and Orange Pekoe black teas which are a delight to my senses. I have no doubt the others will also be of the same superb quality. Don't mind buying from Tea life again.

Excellent quality tea selection – wow, i was blown away by the quality of the tea leaves these guys procure. I’ve ordered Silver needle while tea and i can say this is the best white tea I had until now. very fresh and eco friendly sealed package. Also recommend their economy jasmine green tea. Show reply
