Avoid – Have had this oven in my home for a few years now. Terrible product that has given us nothing but trouble. Last weekend it caught fire. Apparently 3000w heating elements are a no go in these ovens due to this reason. I’d suggest anyone with a Technika oven to check this immediately to avoid a potential disaster.

Worst Appliances and Customer Service... EVER!! Do not buy!! – **do not buy** This has got to be the worst experience in purchasing Kitchen appliances, we have ever experienced. We purchased a dishwasher that needed the door repaired as it didn't close within the first week of using it. We also have a (not so cheap) 900mm free standing oven that has the numbers (decals) literally falling off in your hand after 2 months of usage and is ongoing (so you cannot tell what temperature the oven is set to).. to top it off, the oven seal is falling off. Customer Service has asked for our details TWICE on both Service call requests... which was a great stalling tactic and have advised that the decals (temp numbers on the front panel) are not a manufactures defect/Warranty issue!! What a joke. We have also been advised that we have to pay $194.00 to get the panel replaced on the oven and that we have to replace the seal ourselves. ***Do not buy*** and beware as they are often an offered product when doing building a house through a large builder.

Great Oven, Terrible Electrics – We had the Technika Belissimo oven included in our house build completed in 2014. It was upgraded from a discontinued item that was originally included in our plan. We were really happy with the oven, it looked amazing, heated up quickly and evenly, can cook 4 pizzas at once and the size and placement off all of the burners was great for us. Overall we were really happy with this oven and it always got great compliments from guests.

We have however had 3 electrical faults in the time we have owned it. The first was the heating element which was replaced under warranty in the first year of owning. The WA service agent used was terrible as he rounded every single screw he used to access the oven and left out screws that made the oven flimsy and wobble. We only noticed the rounded screws after having to replace electrical fault number 2, that being the oven selector switch which burned itself out. When in the oven we found 2 screws that were missing that made the oven wobble. So that was all fixed. A little over 1 month later the exact same fault occurred, this time the selector switch caught fire causing extensive damage to wiring and hob. The service agent after a week and a half to get back to us, was very quick to blame the fault on the repair we had done through a licensed repairer, despite there being no switch left and near identical failure to the first switch. The repairer himself even said the connector pins to the switch are not the best quality and can open under heat causing the switch to arc and fail. So now we are left with a minimum of $800 repair bill. This is just not good enough for a 3 year old oven!

It was a really nice oven and did function perfectly. It's just let down by its electrics. If this is offered in your build or you are looking at buying it, I would recommend looking at something else.

Would buy again – Purchased in 2014 as apart of our new home package with Dennis Family Homes. As a stay at home baker I have no regrets with receiving this cooker standard with our build. My muffins turn out just like they are from a bakery, moist and fluffy. The cooktop lay out works well with the wok in the centre and the large burner on the front left hand side. If i had to build again i would invest in this brand again.
