Good – I work from home and am constantly finding excuses to stop for a coffee. Always thought i was wasting a bit too much power boiling a kettle and not using all the kettle water so the tefal is great for dispensing a cup at a time. Tefal must have fixed the splashing problems described by others as mine doesnt splash at all- and i have no drips to… Read more

wipe either. Water is hot enough for me -in fact curiosity got the better of me so i checked with an infrared thermometer after a week of use and found water temp straight out of nozzle was 86 deg C (pretty close to the 90 dec C it says on the box). The noise and vibration is still there but i can live with that as its less than the noise of the old kettle I have! Overall not perfect but does what its says.

Oh, i also didnt pay full retail as it was on sale so i guess the value is there for me! Convenient and uses less power to heat water than conventional kettle (i have one of those govt power usage meters to compare cents per kwH). A bit on the noisy side when dispensing hot water.

Excellent – I have ordered a spare filter as I am pregnant and only four months away from giving birth so though having one handy would be a good idea. The filter cost me $14.95 from www.tefal.com.au, and they do not charge postage. (I guess it is figured into the pricing. I live in Brisbane so that is fine by me :-) I am very happy with it. made by the Quick Cup is softer than the noise made by my kettle as my husband does not need to turn the Tv volume up when I use it. I am no longer boiling the kettle and sitting down to do something whilst it is boiling and then re boiling it about 30 mins later when I remember to get up and make my cup of tea or coffee!!!!!! Great for filling up a water jug for the fridge, as we no longer need to boil the kettle and wait for it to cool down. I like the fact that i can change the automatic amount of water it dispenses with the press of a few buttons. It is great for my home made lattes!!!!!! I have my home hot water system set at a non burning 50 degrees as we are about to have a baby and the water coming out of the Quick Cup is certainly hotter than that! There is nothing to dislike really; I have it sitting on a tea towel so there is not much noise and any drips are caught by the tea towel.

Excellent – If people don't follow instructions it's not the product that's faulty. When I first got the quick cup I heard about the nozzle thing and rang up Tefal(sydney)and they sent me out the longer nozzle(free) and there's is no spashback anymore. When ever a company designs an inovative product you would expect a few design floors that need… Read more

rectifying.

Yes it is noisy, I think if they weighted it somehow it would be better, never the less I have had normal kettles (russell hobbs one springs to mind) that was noisier and for a longer duration. It is only noisy for 30secs and I have totally gotten use to it.

I have been using it for 8months now, I haven't changed the filter yet still works great. I turn it off at the wall whenever I have finshed using it. Delivers filtered hot and cold water.

I use 3/4 water and 1/4 milk in my tea and it is hot enough to drink for my liking. It's not boiling hot, but who the hell drinks "boiling hot" tea or coffee?

If you have bigger cups then you just need to hold down the button and release when the cup is full.Refilling the water container is easy and I found the handle to be stronger than expected an ergonimically designed. Hats off to Tefal for innovation, if they bring out a better version I would be happy to upgrade. Fastest Cuppa you'll ever make. Nothing Yet.

Not about tefal. Just for info – Yay! ALDI are advertising quick cup kettles for $59.95 available on 16th April 2016. The one I have is at least 5 years old and very well used. It is still going well although the spout looks a bit yuck and the lid on the water tank does not release easily. My original was also from Aldi. Think I will get a new one while they are available.

Good features, but has a design flaw – Bought this item last year. Makes one cup of relatively hot water quickly, which is great! However - It gets green mold in the reservoir relatively quickly (within 3-4 weeks). That is not so much the issue as the fact that the design means you cannot clean out the corners of the reservoir... I usually need to get in there with the tip of a… Read more

sharp knife wrapped in tissue paper. Efficient. One cup at a time. Can't easily clean the mold that builds up.

Great idea, could be better – For making a single cuppa, this thing is awesome. When you have company, you might as well put the old kettle on, because you're going to stand around waiting for this thing to spit out a cup at a time. It's also quite noisy, and after 18 months use it no longer works without unplugging it, waiting a few seconds, and then plugging it back in… Read more

again. Sometimes several times. Fast for single cup, saves on power Noisy, no option to dispense more than a single 'portion' without standing there with your finger on the button, dying after 18 months use.

Excellent for a quick cup!! – I have been very satisfied with this easy-to-use water heater. The water starts heating after pressing the red button. It turns off automatically when a regular size cup is full OR after pressing a button. I have had my Teflon Quick Cup for many years and now wish to buy another. Show details

Revolutionary in every way – Have used this product since 2008, and apart from having to replace the spout that eventually cristalised from the effect of hot water, it has performed without any other issues. Agreed, the water is not boiling hot but at 100 degrees, as would be the case with a traditional kettle should the water have been allowed to boil, it would be foolish… Read more

to even attempt to put the cup to one's mouth.

I hope it continues to work until someone markets another similar product, because going back to a traditional kettle for me, would be a bit of a retrograde step. The challenge has now been raised!!!

No better method of of making a hot cup of anything that I can think of.

10 years and still going strong – I've had my Tefal Quick Cup since 2006 and it is still going as strong as day one. I haven't used the filters for years as I haven't been able to find replacements however I've not noticed a difference in the taste of water. Yes the machine is quite loud but you get used to it. It's easy to pack away and takes up no room. It's easy to clean and… Read more

Love our Tefal Quick Cup – Have had the Quick Cup over 5 yrs and it's been great. My son is blind and it gives him independence in his daily life. Newer version – I have had this machine for 5 years it's been used every day. The pourer is wearing out from age and I'm disappointed it has been discontinued as I'm wanting to purchase another one . Will there be a new version coming soon ? The only set back is the noise it makes but we've grown used to it over the years  Show reply

Tefal Quick Cup – I absolutely love this appliance. The one thing against it is you can't get the Filters anywhere!!! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new Kettle. I love that you don't have to wait for it to boil and its so easy to refill. Very very good product.

I need another one – I love my Tefal Quick Cup except for 2 problems (1) it needs a little stand to place the cup or mug on to avoid splashes. (2) I have tried to buy another for my 92 year old Mum - no luck. As this a much safer alternative to a hot water jug for my Mum who lives on her own, I will give her mine. Just the best. Quick, safe, easy and economical.

excellent product – We bought ours about 4 years ago and it is fantastic. never had any problems with mold, smoking or anything else. I have been looking for a second one, in case ours finally dies and am very disappointed to find that it is not being made any longer and there is no equivalent product anywhere. We cant revert back to a kettle!

A marvellous idea but – After three years of use, we can now fill the reservoir only 3/4 full. Anymore and it will will drip leak from the spout. Glad to hear that they have improved the spout, as on the original model, the water spurts all over the bench top. I must say, it is rather noisy; could that be improved on? Despite its faults, I would definitely buy it… Read more

again. Love it!

Have read that someone noticed green mould in the reservoir after 3-4 weeks. Maybe because the filter is not replaced regularly and/or the reservoir is not washed out at least once a week. Use filtered or distilled water and avoid having to use a filter in the appliance. Instant hot water Too noisy, water spurting over the bench top, leaking (after three years) if filled more than 3/4 of capacity. I distill my own water thus avoiding having to use and replace filters which could be costly.

Great device – Used this for 4 years (odd) now. Gives you instantaneous hot water. Lasts unlike electric kettles and uses a fraction of the energy. Just can't understand why you don't hear about or see these around. One of the best buys ever for us. I noticed Choice review was not that great due to cost of filter. You don't need to buy filters - we never have - we just use our kitchen tap filtered water.  Show 3 replies

Love it – We drink a lot of warm drinks at home, so it helps that I don't have to bring the kettle to boil every time I want half a cup of hot water, thus saving me time and electricity cost! We use filtered water at home as well so we don't need to use the replaceable filter. I was trying to buy a 2nd unit for my mom but found that they've stopped making this. Not happy! Saves time and energy. A bit noisy but no more than a kettle

quick is the word – Cannot use a standard kettle anymore. They take too long to boil. Not the quick cup, 30 secs and you have a cup of boiling water. Had mine for over two years now and had no problems with it. Its a shame they stopped making them so i ended up purchasing another one on ebay at a very good price. easy to use and very quick.

Not bad – If it was not for the noise I'd say it's excellent. I love this kettle, but I absolutely hate the noise it makes. I hope there'll be an improvement on this in future. Otherwise it is a good product and saves your electricity as well. I still use it everyday though. Good buy, good price. Instant hot water It's noisy

***** Great for arthritis sufferers – We have had ours for at least 2 years. Used constantly and great for me with my arthritis of the hands as I can not lift convential kettles. We have filtered water so do not need the filters which is probably a bonus. Not quite as hot as from a kettle but hot enough quick and energy saving. And I do not have to life noisey but u get used to it

Rubbish – The first unit was replaced under warranty due to an electrical fault. The clear plastic water reservoir cracked on the second unit and was very expensive to replace. So quick and easy! – I absolutely love this product! I use it everyday for my cup of tea and it really is quite ingenious. I don't even use my kettle anymore! However i think it does actually take a bit longer then 3 seconds to make a… Read more ·  1

cup but not too much longer. The unit is quite compact too so doesn't take much bench space and yet the water canister at the back holds a fair bit of water so you don't need to refill it too often! But it is quite noisy as others have said but a kettle can be just as bad. Ive also seen them for a good price recently so not too costly but you will need to buy a new filter every now and again so that's another expenditure though i just changed mine and I've had it for just over a year so not bad really. Quick; easy; reliable; great for camping Noisy
