Telstra Call Guardian 302
Verified1 review
Wish I had reviewed this product before buying it. NOTE I HAVE A TELSTRA CALL GUARDIAN 302 SYSTEM NOT A 301 SYSTEM – No nuisance calls coming through from spammers and I wish I had this handset when I had a threatening call, where the person was too gutless to speak but still made a menacing phone call. The downside though is it doesn't answer until at least 7 or 8 rings have gone past so that a voice message can be left. Also agree the ring tone is way too loud, and I feel sorry for my neighbour because this damn phone just keeps beeping loudly until I get home if someone does leave a message.
Even angrier today, as the Indian person by the name of [Name Removed] who rang me and got cut off time and time again, has sent me a message via email or her colleague has saying that the problem is resolved. Crap it's not resolved at all. Feel like contacting the board, because the Telstra oversees call centres are useless too, I think they just want to hit their KPIs and pretend they are doing their jobs properly and they aren't. If Telstra really cared about their customers they would be reading their reviews!!!!!!

Also another downside to this phone is the instruction manual is wrong. They state the following:
"Deleting your Blocked and Allowed lists When in the Block and Allow number menus, you also have the choice to delete the whole list. Remember, if you do this, all calls previously blocked and allowed, will now be able to contact you."
No there is no choice at all to unblock ALL the numbers at all.
I AM ROPEABLE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN MISSING OUT ON JOBS, BECAUSE THIS PHONE SYSTEM SEEMS TO BE BLOCKING A NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO ARE RINGING ME AND DAMN TELSTRA STAFF THINK THEY CAN RING YOU ON THE SAME PHONE THAT YOU NEED HELP SORTING OUT, SO OBVIOUSLY IF YOU PLAY AROUND WITH THE PHONE YOU WILL CUT OFF THE PERSON FROM TELSTRA THAT'S SUPPOSE TO HELP YOU.
MAYBE SOME OF US SHOULD GET TOGETHER TO SUE TELSTRA FOR ALL THE FINANCIAL LOSSES THAT HAVE BEEN INCURRED BY THEM AND THEIR PRODUCTS.
HOPE THE COMPETITION DESIGNS A BETTER PRODUCT FOR CALL SCREENING.
Also I simply wanted to turn off the Guardian screening because I am worried about losing out on work, and if you read the manual and look at the pictograms the pictograms do not reflect what the caller I.D. is actually showing on the Telstra Call Guardian screening 302 system.
I bet they don't even reply to this and get it sorted. They are pretty useless as a company when there are problems. We need another telecommunication company in Australia to give them a run for their money, even if it is set up by the government by raising money with shares possibly.
