Telstra Evoke Plus (2019)

Don't like it – This review is for the ZTE evoke plus 2 phone. I've had it for almost a year and its so frustrating the apps don't work properly. Eg, my messenger doesn't notify me in real time, unless I open the app, and then a barrage of messages come through. WhatsApp doesn't notify me either. Yes I've have tried everything and I'm ready to throw this phone in the bin! And the stupid battery notifications I keep getting are really annoying. Don't buy this phone
Purchased in at Kmart Retail Stores for $150.
Is the Telstra evoke plus 2 the same as the Telstra evoke Pro 2 – Not sure yet my daughter has only just got it set up. So far everything seems to be going ok. I just want to know if the Telstra evoke plus 2 the same as the Telstra evoke Pro 2 4 covers
Purchased in at Australia Post Offices for $150.
New screen and user manual – Ok took a few over Christmas but finally got a new screen delivered here in Broken hill , I got some discounts so it was a cheaper around $160 retail aprox, So top tip get a cover and saftey glass before use , I ordered the case and saftey glasses 4 weeks ago and still waiting but that is one negative of living in a remote town , I know some one who ordered a case for a phone on ebay and it was rubbish and buttons did not line up , so patience is a virtue
The phone fits in my hand well and is easy to use and the camera is unreal 48 mexa pixal option . So far have not gone too far out of town but reception is ok ,
My next next purchase is a car cradle with antenna lead and with induction I can use 9 db gain antenna
Now if some is looking for a manual Alcatel-3L_5029Y_5029D

Good phone for the regional area and visually ok
Purchased in at Harvey Norman Big Buys for $220.
Great phone – I bought this when Covid hit and I desperately needed a phone with a hotspot. It is great - good price, good reception, stylish, great hot spot, terrific photos. Sometimes I wish the battery lasted longer, but all in all, for under $200, I am thrilled. Telstra staff were very helpful
Purchased in for $174.
Best device for use with Telstra I have used so far – The Telstra Evoke Plus is a handset I have used now for several months and it has never let me down. It has fantastic RF performance since I live in country Victoria and at very poor signal area to boot. It also has all the best features and connectivity elements required to further improve it's performance and accessibility for receiving and making calls when in low signal / coverage areas.
For example it also supports Voice over Wi-Fi (Vowifi) and 4G Voice calling and when I purchased one for my mother it was only $129 which is crazy. I was told that Coles might still have them at this price so I am thinking of getting a couple more as birthday gifts for mates that need new phones that work out in my area in the country.
Also spec wise the Quad core processor is fast, the OS is Android 9, there are updates for it coming on a regular basis, External memory support is upto 256GB microSD card, Nano SIM, slim form factor and large bright screen.
Cases I have purchased for both mums and my own device from Ebay which are cheap and good quality leather styled folding cases that also allow me to easily watch Netflix on the train to work as the case also becomes a stand for the phone.
Every function on this device I have used and it is more responsive and better performing than any other device I have used or even my mates that have spent big on iPhones and can't get network at my place.
Just can't beat this device.
Cheers,
