No cord to charge phone in box won’t replace. Unfair Show details
A huge step backward – I was forced into buying a new phone like most of us with the 3g close down looming. This phone is the worse phone I have ever owned. The T2 I was using had a browser, and 5 hours talk time, it also connected to anything, the car, or a pc, it could play music if you wished. This one is a step up from 2 tin cans and a piece of string. I now have… Read more
to look for another phone as this just wont do, I need a browser and connectivity to my car phone of which, this does nothing, I also own a smart phone as most of us do, but its very clumsy to carry around. The size of the flip phone was ideal, but totally useless.
Disfunctional rubbish – This phone is garbage. Battery life is poor. Contacts management is confusing. Speaker is scratchy and distorted. Not a reccommended buy at all Show details
Such a piece of rubbish – A complete piece of rubbish: when closed and put away in my back pocket, the flip actually activates and calls the last contact without me knowing! Also by default it is only 3 rings (15s); you have to search the internet and enter a sequence to extend this to a max of 60s. Messaging is so unfriendly with fairly sensitive or too close keys which… Read more
end up sending messages when you are not quite finished. I will need to find another phone. This is such a piece of rubbish.
Awful – Total waste of money. Worst dumb phone I've ever bought. About the only thing that works properly is making calls. Messaging is a nightmare. Can't send pics via mms. You go through the motions but no option to send. Message alerts work randomly. Insane ring tones. Absolute rubbish. Show details
typical Telstra garbage – online manual is inadequate , can't delete or edit contacts , wont link to pc , can't change from lower case to higher case text ,waste of $119 Show details
Upgraded old 3G phone to flip 4 – It was time to upgrade my old Telstra Easy Discovery 4 due to the shut down of 3G. I did a lot research on the range of feature phones available that work in Australia, and struggled to find a phone I liked. I bought a phone which didn’t work out for me so I bought the Telstra Flip 4 instead. While I like tech and have a smart phone, for daily… Read more
use, I still prefer to use a feature/dumb phone. I don’t like my movements being tracked and I can’t open any links from scammers.
The phone was very easy to set up and it’s easy to use. There are things I like about the phone but there are some features on my old phone that I don’t have on the new phone and miss.
The resolution on the Flip 4 is not that great but the screen size makes up for it, and I like that it has a dual screen. The ring tones are limited but the sound quality on a call is quite good.
My old phone had voice call ringtone (it announced the callers name or contact number) and I really miss that feature. The new phone displays that information on the screen.
The instructions can be downloaded from the ZTE website and they are fairly comprehensive. I’ve emailed ZTE a couple of time for support, and I’ve found them to be quite helpful.
The phone phone fits neatly in my bag and doesn’t have any external buttons that can be easily turned on with movement (that you don’t want turned on).
The phone is ok. It’s nothing to write home about but unfortunately the range of feature phones is not that big. and they fall into the category of cheap phones for a reason. Telstra is the only carrier that works where I live so that was also a consideration.
