contacted The Beam Store and they advised they used a fulfilment warehouse in Australia & the beam would have been shipped from there. They asked me to contact the company that had been used by the warehouse for shipping, Direct Freight. So I contacted Direct Freight & was advised they would look into the whereabouts of my beam – no-body got back to me. The following day I called Direct Freight again (multiple times). They eventually advised the beam was ‘missing’. They also advised they suspect the label had fallen off the packaged beam at some stage during transit and it had most likely been sent back to the warehouse in Sydney – apparently this has happened before! I then emailed and called The Beam Store and left multiple messages over two days with no reply. After 3 days I emailed them again & they finally replied advising they would ship another beam. The new beam then arrived within two days, which was a pleasant surprise.. I honestly didn’t think it would be here before Christmas (if at all!) but it was!

My Gymnast loves her new beam. It’s a very good quality beam in suede fabric and I can see many years of enjoyment. My only reservations are with regards to the delivery issues and also the colour is not as described. The colour is supposed to be tan but it’s nothing like the picture, it’s more of a medium brown/olive green colour.

Great gym mat – I purchased a 10ft gym mat from thebeamstore.com.au. It shipped with toll ipec and took two weeks to arrive which I wasn't happy about. Im still rating the purchase as 'excellent' though as the mat itself is perfect. Very firm, hands and feet don't sink in too much so its easy to balance and feel stable. hard on it several times but haven't felt close to reaching the limit of it's padding. The vinyl covering is very thick and the sewn sides seem durable. Overall it feels heavy duty and well made.
