The Bridgewater Inn

We recently attended a function at the Bridgewater Inn on Sunday 18 May 2025. We were allocated an area and given a single table number and wrist bands to make everything go smoothly for the 30 - 40 of us gathered there. When we went up and ordered our meals we were asked for our names as well. Sounds like it was very well organised doesn’t it.… Read more
Yeah right. The meals were delivered randomly with no mention of the names and of course there were multiple orders of the same meal. The meals were also cold because we were the furtherest away from the kitchen and plate warming is not a thing is it. Two heaters in our area was simply not enough and we wondered why we were in a private area when we would have been better off in the open area with plenty of heaters. I do not put all the blame for the poor organisation on the wait staff who did a reasonable job under poor conditions. What ever happened to planning. The manager should have had a briefing at the beginning of the shift. Simple instructions like “Make sure you have the names associated with the meals when delivering them” “Warm all plates before serving it is freezing out there”. Has the management decided that if they stop people from coming back it will be easier to manage the place. There were enough staff on duty, they were just poorly managed.
Alfie and Hugo displayed exceptional personable skills and were very helpful in following up our orders! Well done boys!
