The Caboo Baby Carrier

Wonderful and easy to use – The CABOO baby carrier and is quite comfy, but is better than a normal baby wrap carrier like Moby or Hug a Bub because you don't have to mess around with a 6 metre length of fabric. It is already pre-tied so you can slip your arms and head in, adjust the excess fabric to your size and with a couple of ties, it is done. I love how you dont have to… Read more
mess around with clips, and that you can wear it around ready to slip bub in and not too many people would notice what you are wearing because it is just fabric. You also have a few positions available and that is detailed in the book with it. The only downside is that I could imagine the regular cotton one would still get hot on a really hot day walking outside (but I believe there are other styles with a mesh fabric) and that when bub is older - the weight would be very noticeable on the shoulders. But overall I think this is great for that first year and I really liked it.
A great, lightweight carrier! – I purchased a Caboo for my second baby, and will definitely be using it again for the next baby! Pros: Very easy to put on and use, lightweight and easily fits in nappy bag/handbag or basket of pram, supportive for a newborn, convenient for hands-free use (especially with older children), great colours and designs to choose from Cons: Did find that when baby got heavier (10+kg), it wasn't as supportive as other carriers.
Perfect! – I absolutely love this carrier. So easy to use, can adjust while bubs is in it. Just like a gorgeous soft carrier, but without having to tie it on like a wrap style. My baby loved being carried in this, he would go to sleep comfortable next to his mum or dad, and we'd have hands free which was great. You can even use it to breastfeed in, which I… Read more
found really helpful.
Only downside is that it does get a bit less supportive when your baby gets heavier, I used mine up to about 10kgs, before finding a structured carrier more supportive. That being said I still used the Caboo just for short periods.
Great Carrier – I purchased a Caboo after reading many great reviews before my daughter was born. I like the fact that it can be used from birth and keeps bub nice and snug against your body. It takes a couple of goes to get the hang of putting bub in but is really easy to use once you have mastered it. It is so easy to put on because it is already assembled… Read more
and only requires minimal adjustment once bub is in. The Caboo carrier is so handy for grocery shopping and those times when bub is being fussy. My bub settles once she is in and I have started moving. She falls asleep quite quickly.
I would highly recommend the Caboo to anyone looking for an easy to use carrier which isn't overly bulky. Another bonus is the neat little bag it folds up into. The bag doubles as an extra wrap around for use during winter. Ease of use, great colour range, style. A bit pricey but worth it.
I love my caboo – I love my caboo I used it everyday once I came home with my newest little one. It was great to be able to carry her around and not put pressure on my c-section wound. It was easy for me and my partner to put on and use and bub loved being close to us both. easy to use, great support for baby
We love our caboo – I use my caboo every single day! Buby loves it too and she will settle as soon as she is in. I cook in it, do school pick up and drop off, hang washing, do the groceries and all while my baby sleeps. I love that my hands are free so I can still do things for the other kids. Comfortable, even for long periods of time
Fabulous for a premature baby – We purchased the Caboo carrier because our bub was five weeks early and too small for other carriers. Right from the start she loved it and I often found it was the only way to get her to sleep. Being tucked into the fabric against my body was so comforting for her, it worked almost instantly every time. I also lent it to my friend and she found… Read more
the same thing. The straps adjusted quite easily and the fabric e's soft and comfortable.
After a couple of months bub was too big for the covered sling position. I tried the Baby Bjorn that we had purchased before she was born and found she was now happy in that. So I switched. Mainly because the BB had better back support (my back got a bit sore with the Caboo after chatting bub for a period) and was even easier to use. I am sure the Caboo would have still been lovely though, and would give a closer feeling than the BB. Soft and comfortable sling for my baby, an easy sling to use compared to others. Lovely fabric. Perfect for an early baby that needs extra comfort from mum. It was a bit hot to use for my premature baby in summer but was Fi e if I stripped her right down. A bit hot for me in summer too. Back got a bit sore after using
So comfy and snug for baby – I always wanted a wrap style carrier for the closeness and hippy-ness of it, but didn't think I'd have the skill or patience to learn to wrap a long piece of fabric in various ways. The Caboo is the perfect in-between. It's still a wrap, but already "put together" for you, so you just pop it over your head, put baby in and you're ready to go. … Read more
The carry/storage bag that wraps around for extra support also turns into a pocket to pop a few little things in if need be.
I used this from birth with my premmie bub and he was snug and supported and close to Mum.
As it is a stretchy wrap I'm starting to feel a bit of the pain on my shoulders and back after wearing him for an hour or more, because he weighs more now - so will be buying a structured carrier like the Ergo and probably a woven wrap that isn't stretchy and doesn't pull on me. Super soft material, pre-wrapped so you don't need to learn how to wrap, carries baby in the correct position Stretchy wraps can become sore on the back and shoulders when baby gets bigger
Gorgeous carrier! Love it! Definitely the nicest looking baby carrier! – Love Love Love the Close baby carrier. Comfy, soft, looks great and holds baby closer to mums body than the bjorn style carriers (I hate feeling like baby is stuck out in front!). I like the fact that it isn't reams and reams of material that you need to be a contortionist to use- it's so nice and simple. Just the one main piece that hold baby… Read more
close to you, and the extra wrap to put in if you want- which doubles as a storage bag when the sling isn't in use. The straps are lovely and wide to support mum's back- and are fully adjustable.
The only thing that I'm not convinced about is that in order to get head/neck support for a tiny baby, you need to put their head to one side or the other. This creates more weight for mum on that side, and means that baby's back isn't straight. Having said that, it is possible to adjust baby's bottom half in the other direction, which is probably a more comfortable sleeping position for a little one. (To me, the head to the side thing just looks wrong!). Another alternative is to carry a smaller baby in one of the many other positions that this sling allows, until they are able to hold their own head up!
Having said that, this same design allows mum to breast feed very discreetly-which very few do! As I used to be a Midwife/ children's nurse, this was a very important factor!
Another great thing that I love about this sling is that it comes in various designs. I have the one with embroidered butterflies on it, which is a lovely design feature, looks like it has had extra thought put into it- and this part is reversible, so daddy can have plain grey without butterflies on the front!
This sling is quite expensive new, but I bought mine for £25 (around $37 ??) From someone who had not really used it. It's worth checking out Ebay and preloved sites! Comfy to wear- for both mum and baby, Gorgeous butterfly design, Holds baby close to mum's body.
