Couldn't Care Less – Went to the trouble of going to The Helmet Warehouse today as I wanted to buy a specific helmet. I just wanted to check the fit before I purchased which I would have done on the spot. I arived to find the doors locked.... A person came and unlockede the door and said "are you just brousing or are you going to buy today, I dont let you in if you are brousing, are you going to buy today. I only want to sell online and I dont want any brousers......"
My Answer..... Whell I guess I wont be buying anything from a person with your attitude... The door locked and I made the long drive home again.
If this is how you treat prospective customers, how would you deal with problems and faulty items..... OH I see you dont by the look of your other reviews.....
What a pathetic excuse of a retailer....AVOID AT ALL COSTS....... There are plenty of good dealers out there. This is NOT one of them.....
Never would order from them again! – Worst experience in my life. My helmet was stolen from the street, so I order the exact same model from this company (same size as I had before) After 3 weeks waiting I received the helmet. Unfortunately the size didn’t fit, When I asked them to exchange it, they wanted to charge $40 Aud (that’s 20% of the helmet’s purchase price)- I was like fine, that’s not worth for it, I will use the small size...whatever. Than I realised that the helmet’s sun visor is faulty - I couldn’t open it (as I mentioned, I had the exact same helmet before- so I know it very well how does it works) When I told them that the helmet is faulty they gave me 2 options: to send back the helmet (cost on me -$15 aud) and pay for a delivery of a new helmet (cost on me - $15 aud) Or to drive to their warehouse to return the helmet (1.5 h driving - my time), FYI: they haven’t had a new helmet at they store so I would still end up without a working helmet that I paid for.
the helmet been sent back to them (of course on my costs) - they advised me that it’s not faulty - I just don’t know how to use it and they won’t send me back my faulty helmet neither, as Im refusing to pay an additional post cost again...so I ended up without helmet and without my money
Pls think about it twice before you buy anything from them!
good price, reliable support service – I bought a motodry tank bag (on special) from them. When I received it I noticed some minor issue. Soon after I contacted them (within 1 day) they asked me to send the item back. After they confirmed the issue, they send a new bag to me as well as reimburse the postage when I return the item. And the whole process is within a week which is quick considering it takes 1-2 days for the courier each time.
Knowledgeable and honest advice at a good price – I've purchased 2 Helmets and 2 Jackets from the Helmet Warehouse over about 8 years. They have always been helpful and honest about product and price. Buying a helmet in particular means trying them on.. No sizing chart is going to serve you well.. For me it's Shoei helmets due to fit comfort and safety.. Jackets are variable but not Helmets.. Thumbs up to The Helmet Warehouse..
Buyers Beware you will be stuck with a $1000 helmet and zero care factor if it doesn't fit – Basically I bought a helmet worth close to $1000 from these characters who also own SHOEI.COM.AU site but simply registered the domain name and ARE NOT SHOEI AUSTRALIA as the domain name might suggest to some people. I followed the sizing chart on their site and chose helmet according to that information. This thing is WAY too small and they have no interest in swapping this over and said I was stuck with it despite the information that I received from the ACCC and Fair Trading that lead me to believe that this product has therefor been MISREPRESENTED according to the sizing chart that they made available. I would recommend going to a MOTORCYCLE STORE if you intend buying a helmet. They replied to my email within 2 hours and had zero intention of helping me with this and are obviously well versed with this rhetoric. I will also be emailing Shoei in Japan in relation to some advice re. their domain name and their intellectual property rights in this regard as I have experience with this side of the Internet.
