Not worth it imo – I’ve had two of this mattress, the first clapped out and sank and I had it replaced under warranty just after 5 years, the next one did the exact same thing after only 2 years and I just replaced it with something completely different. My partner and I are both under 90kg and with such bad sagging on both sides on both beds I was pretty disappointed. I won’t buy a Therapedic again. Show details
Sagging issue should not be ignored – My wife and I are not heavy people, but just like others we have observed the same issues of sagging. We are both fit and healthy, no issues. Initially the mattress was fine, very happy, but sagging was noticeable after 5 years, and now at 8 years it is garbage. No matter how well you take care of it (in our case very well) it appears based on… Read more
reading other experiences there is still a reasonable probability of it happening to anyone. So, if you are looking to change mattress every 5 years then it's unlikely to feature as a concern in your purchase. We care about the environment, so have now bough something a little more reliable this time which comes with more cost. We didn't bother going through the warranty claim process, as we have seen enough to determine it isn't worth wasting our time. I would say take care if considering it.
Good for the first 4 years - Sagging in both sides now! – Bought a King size (firm) from the Dial A Bed store in Rhodes (NSW 2138) in July 2015. It was great for the first 4 years, but then started sagging continuously. I have been rotating it around regularly since purchase (once every 3 to 4 weeks on average), with the hope of lengthening its optimal life-span. It now sags easily on both sides, and… Read more
after rotating it to sleep on the side where the depression/sagging has been restored to normal shape, it only takes one night of sleeping on that side, for the sagging to recur. I weigh 89 Kg, which has been the same for the past many years.
It has a 10-year warranty, but doesn't cover this type of sagging, but only a persisting sagging of certain magnitude!
Overall very disappointed with the mattress, and considering that spent around $1000 on it, I wish I'd have spent the money on something with a better quality.
Terrible mattress and appalling customer service – We purchased a therawrap mattress precisely for the 15 year warranty that seemed to be over and above other manufacturers. I fully echo others reviews on this site regarding premature sagging of the mattress which occurred less than 5 years after purchase. When customer service was contacted about making a warranty claim you get an unrealistic… Read more
process to follow, have the mattress professionally cleaned (despite always using a mattress protector) and transport the mattress to their depot at your cost. Even if you go through with that, they will tear apart the mattress to find the fault and if no fault detected (by their unrealistic definition), the mattress is returned to you. No reasonable person would go through the process, so it is a complete sham. I am extremely disappointed in the mattress and I would advise anyone to reconsider and buy a trusted brands instead.
Absolute ripoff – I bought one of these mattresses over other competitors because of the 15 year warranty. All good until you want to make a claim. After a couple of years and religiously turning the mattress as instructed, one side of the mattress developed a sunken area in the middle of the sleeping position that has created a virtual ridge with firm one side… Read more
collapsed the other which causes you a lopsided feeling on your back and a necessity to roll towards the edge when on your side. I made contact with the company and don’t believe they were interested or sympathetic. I am 80kg and my wife under 60kg so excessive weight hasn’t caused the problem. To make a claim I need to have it commercially cleaned and transported to and returned at my expense. No mattress to sleep on for however long it takes for them to repair it. These costs are are prohibiting and better spent buying another brand.
Warranty leaves you without support like the mattress which hasn't lasted even half the warranty period – Mattress purchased late 2014 (about 4 years ago). Initially it was great - firm, comfortable and we were very happy with it. About a year after purchase it developed 2 hollows where we sleep even though we rotated it as per instructions. Contacted Dial A Bed (the seller) at Rhodes and got the run around about having to expect some sinking… Read more
within acceptable limits before they would even consider a warranty claim. Mattress is now 4 years old and goes out to council clean up 2/4/2019 because we are tired of waking every morning with aching neck, aching knees and other body pains. The hump in the middle now is SO bad my wife has trouble rolling to the middle of the bed because it is like she is in a hammock. After the first run around we aren't even going to bother chasing a warranty claim which on paper has 6 years left because as another reviewer (Sam12) has noted in his 2017 review, its not worth the run around trying to justify your warranty complaint.
Excellent value – I bought the queen size from Roy at Bedsonline.com.au.There is no partner disturbance. It is neither too soft nor too firm.It is a deep mattress but easy enough to buy fitted sheets that actual fit from common everyday stores. From the first night,we have had no aches or pains. The mattress is light enough to lift and turn.Has a long warranty.Extremely happy with it and not very expensive.Highly recommend this mattress. Beware of warranty fine print – Mattress purchased in 2013. Comfortable for about 3 – 4 years. Mattress then developed dip in the middle. Contacted manufacturer who referred us back to the seller. After 12 months the warranty requires the purchaser to pay for transport costs back to manufacturer for repair (Sydney – Melbourne and return) which is more than the cost of a new… Read more
mattress. Also they require more than 5 cm body impression for the warranty to be effective. In effect the warranty is worthless. Disappointed by poor customer after-care.
