pressure inside when it was still under pressure) which she now has burn scars up both arms some 20 years later. I love the fact that you can not open the lid unless it has zero pressure inside. It is made from a good stainless steel.

I now use mine on a natural gas cooker but i used to use it on an electric element. I found with electric you need to use the two element method. Have one element on high to get up to full pressure then transfer to a element already on a low heat to maintain pressure (stabalize) otherwise if the element takes too long to cool things will burn.

I use my pressure cooker at least 4 times a week as it cooks meals so much quicker than a slow cooker(crock pot). Overall i would not be without this piece of equipment in my kitchen.... Easy to use, easy to clean, makes meals tender in most cases 75% faster than conventional methods The only thing i would fault is that this only cooks at 12psi i wish it would go to 15psi but hey for an extra few minutes of cooking i dont mind...
