Terrible quality – As others have stated, this chair begins to lean forward quite early in the piece. I am not a very heavy person, but two things stand out: 1) the chair leans forward and spins around weirdly (if you spin around slowly you'll feel the chair rise and lower as you revolve, and 2) the wheels/housing of wheels warps and at this point at least one of… Read more

the wheels collapses inwards, making the whole thing dangerous. I have had the chair come out from under me twice now, in one case injuring me. Absolute rubbish design and build.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! – The chair has a weak lever and will constantly go down in pressure, well below the recommended weight limit, and the hair barely lasted a year, contacted manufacturer and they yet to get back to me, you get what you pay for, and honestly for this kind of quality I would not recommend wasting your money on it. Show details

DANGEROUS! – Very dangerous chair. Support pole sits at the back of the chair. You have to make sure that you sit right back as you sit down or it will slip away. I have fallen over twice. this last time I jarred my neck, and knee. I will contact vendor store and ask for a refund. Please check before you buy this chair. I wilkl have to repair wall where 2 legs/wheels have gone through. Show details

began breaking up after 6 months of use – A picture paints a thousand words. Take a look at how this product deteriorates. The rot set in at about 6 months. By 12 months you couldn't sit on it without getting your skin pinched from the deteriorated plastics on both the seat and the arms and the neck rest of the chair. We gave up at 15 months after contacting the supplier who basically… Read more

ignored our feedback even though I acknowldeged it was out of warranty but thought they should know about the life-cycle of their product. It always squeaked even after carrying out the suggestions from the support team that were meant to remedy the problem. I would not recommend this brand of gaming chair. (NB: This review is actually for the ThunderX3 RC3 but same manufacturer and same issues it seems from other reviews)

Great price but the chair is rubbish – - Feels like I'm leaning forward all the time - Arm rests perishing after 18 months use - Gas strut is failing meaning the chair keeps dropping down 6 year old daughter took to it with a hobby knife. Thank god. Now I have another excuse to throw it out and buy something decent  Show details

Looks great, but NOT ergonomic – I spend a lot of time in it, but even with endless adjustments the design flaws in this make it unusable. Someone else says the chair tips forward. 100% yes. It isn't balanced properly so if you lean forward the chair falls forward, wheels skate back and you end up on the floor. Secondly as someone else already said, you keep feeling like you… Read more

are sliding forward off it, as the base is flat and not angled properly. After a few months of use I developed a radial nerve issue in both arms and couldn't work out what was the cause. I soon realised that it was the chair because the arm wrests are so hard and plastic that it had pinched my funny bone on each arm over time. I replaced them with soft pads and that fixed that problem within a few weeks. If you enjoy lower back pain and stiffness, this is the chair for you. On the plus side though, it does look good. But that's it.

Good chair for the price – Comfortable, easy to assemble. Has all the features of a high end chair without the price tag. Would have loved a cloth based version, however the metal and material of the chair seem that they would last 2 - 3 years. Show details

Faulty design and the worst customer service team in the world – Bought on Amazon. Had a problem from the start where the backrest was on an angle. Sent an email, got a response within a few days then after the second email took a while to get back to me. I ended getting the part which was a new backrest which was 95% perfect... Until the mechanism to move the chair back and forth it didn't allow for the… Read more

backrest to stay in place. After months of emailing and little to no response, I had to go under the company and to the vendor through Amazon after a few weeks I finally got a proper fix and they mailed the part to me. (The chair was completely unusable until the part came months after the problem happened.

Cheap – 2020 and this chair still is being manufactured with all its faults. It's not ergonomic and it's use as a computer gaming chair is limited to 6-12months. The chair has a feeling like it's constantly making you slip and fall out of it due to the angle it's built on. But the worst part is this doesn't matter because it's going to warp soon and be… Read more

even worse.

I've already had the first chair replaced by warranty - the second one is warping just like the first (happens about 6-12months in).

Funny that another review mentions the same problems as me - should of read more before I bought. The base plate is thick but a cheap metal material and seems to warp out of shape after a few months (I weight less then 100kg) - it causes the chair to lean to the front/side. Really uncomfortable and causes back problems if you don't sort it out. Armrests are cheap plastic and foam - any pressure applied to them will cause them to crack and break. Not worth the pricey dollar attached. I won't be buying anymore of these Thunder series. Better off finding a more reputable brand.

Stay away! – REALLY BAD CHAIR. Owned for 2 years. Enough is enough! When I first assembled it noticed it was slightly forward leaning. OK! Armrests are not the same height. OK! The wheels are not on the same level, entire base will spin/rotate when u push the chair around. OK? Armrests made from poor quality plastic, have started to crack. JUST AVOID Show details

Dangerous - tips forward – Pros: very sturdy construction. Cons: very uncomfortable - hard raised lips on sides of seat dig in to side of thighs. I had bruises and indentations in the sides of my thighs after the first day of sitting in it. I’m 6’4” and 120kg so wanted a chair that was heavy duty but this one is the least comfortable chair I have ever had. The cheap… Read more

Burrows chair I had for years from Officeworks was far more comfortable but the gas lift eventually decided it couldn’t take my weight. Had to sit with knees tight together (not much room for... y’know...) to get some relief from the chair digging in so much. And I am not at all fussy about chairs in general, I’m usually the one who volunteers to have the uncomfortable chair because it doesn’t bother me.

Have had it 5 days and it has completely flipped over forward 3 times. Once when trying to push up on arm rests to shift position back in chair and slide it forward a bit (on floor boards, not thick carpet - the chair slipped out so violently it ended up flat on its front with the coasters pushing through the child safety gate behind me where my daughter often stands, luckily she was not there), once when leaning forward a little (and I mean a little - nothing extreme) and the last time was leaning slightly forward to hug one of my kids goodnight (thought I was being careful enough but obviously not). Noticed when assembling that the centre of gravity is way back on the chair, presumably to allow people to recline in it without tipping backwards. But they have way over-compensated and made it far too easy to tip forward. My wife tried it too and thought it was ok for her until she leaned forward a little to put a shoe on and the chair slipped out from under her. Neither of us has ever had a chair do this to us before.

These two issues far outweigh the one real pro. It is a very sturdy chair, but very unsafe and really uncomfortable. Am asking for a refund as I’m already sick of having to worry about sitting down. Meant to be relaxing, right?

Good Chair but the arm rests – The chair installed looks quite nice. The installation was easy enough and didn't take long. The material is of good quality but I guess we'll see how long the PU leather lasts. I would've preferred upholstered arm rests instead of the solid hard plastic ones they come with as they're not the most comfortable. The extra neck and back pillows are a… Read more

nice touch and adds extra comfort. The chair does tip when I move forwards but my chair is on thick carpet so if the chair isn't on carpet I'm guessing you won't have this issue. Overall a good chair from the lower end prices for gaming chairs.
