Slush Machine – I didn't realise until I was well through the directions that it doesn't work with diet drinks. This needs to be marked in bold type on the box. I enjoy slushie drinks but as a diabetic this is no use to me personally. I never give my grandchildren sugary drinks so no good for them unless I make fruit juice ones..which I haven't tried yet, maybe in summer. Great concept. Box needs to state in bold print 'not suitable for diet soft drinks'

It's ok – I don't know about the 'produces icy cold drinks in minutes' part of the product description. I purchased this machine to make margarita slushies for Xmas and (I purchased the pre mix 'bucket' where you add the alcohol) and put into the slushie machine to keep cold and slushie! I did not get the ice to salt ratio correct so initially it did not work at all - the 'slush' that was initially there (from the bucket) just turned to liquid. Once I figured that I needed more rock salt the machine created slush drink in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Even though the information I found about this machine stated it can make alcoholic slush drinks I think it is better suited to creating frozen cokes and the like and it will still get some occasional use from me for my kids. Just ensure you get the ice and salt ratio correct and I think it works ok but don't expect slushies in a minute! More like 10 to 20. Kept drink cold and icy Noisy and takes a fair bit longer than stated to create a slushie drink.

Could you please tell me how much rock salt to put in?
