I have polished porcelaine tiles through a large part of my house. I love the look of these but was daunted by the job of cleaning them as it involved vacuuming, mopping and then drying so as to get a streak free shine. then I was told about the amazing Tineco machine. I cannot believe what a life changer this is! I now go over my floors ONCE,… Read more

this does it all in ONE GO. I actually enjoy the job and get an amazing, streak free brilliant finish. Truly the best thing I ever bought. 35 minute battery charge does my whole house. I must add that my 3 siblings have bought one and 2 of my daughters as well.*****

Purchased (Godfrey's): March 2023 Machine cap that allows the cleaner to be seated in the charging station broke off: March 2024. Contacted Godfreys and sent photos as requested March 2024. Response was that the company had gone into administration. The cleaner continued to work although I had to remove the cap from the cleaner whilst in use so… Read more

it didn't fall off then replace it to charge the cleaner. December 2025, the cleaner no longer charges beyond 22%. My "chat" with Windy from Tineco suggested the broken cap may be preventing correct charging. Please wait for an email with further instructions. The email arrived asking to pay $196.20 for repairs via paypal. It didn't look like a legitimate email and request so I ignored it. The broken cap has now gone missing and I cannot charge the cleaner at all. I've been back in touch with Tineco and the same email has arrived. They were unable to find any record of a previous "chat" although I do have screen shots of it. They're asking for $196.20 to be paid to a paypal account and with proof of payment, the next steps will be provided. I'm not willing to pay $196.20 without some sort of official record of what the "chat" stated they would replace and an invoice reference. I've just called the customer service number stating my concerns about paying money with no clear path to having my machine repaired and returned. I also stated my concerns that other people have had the similar issues and their machines have not been returned to them. The woman on the phone said: "i think you are right to consider that its a lot of money to pay if you don't feel comfortable with the process." She also stated: "personally, I would consider if i should pay this money especially when other people have made complaints about the process of promised repairs breaking down." She also said they are a warehouse back end facility not really set up to deal with this type of problem and that is why the paypal solution is so outdated.

The machine was brilliant until it became unusable almost overnight after only 3 years.

Soon after purchase - vacuum would not charge on charging base. Replaced under warranty - replacement vacuum no longer holding charge and only charges to 64%. Tineco products don’t last & they don’t honour their warranty – If I could put negative stars I would. Only operates for 5 minutes and dies. It was still under warranty, so in February I took it back to Godfreys where I purchased from, but they are in liquidation. This month, I found out how to contact Tineco but they have flatly refused to do anything, and have told me they have no parts or machines in… Read more

Australia to fix or replace it, and refuse to give me a refund because it’s now out of warranty (by less than 2 weeks). I provided them with proof that the fault had occurred while still under warranty. They have told me they are opening a service centre in June, told other people one would be opened in May, and have told others July (read all the Tineco reviews here and check their Facebook group). They are just buying time so they can tell people sorry it’s out of warranty now. Dodgy company with no integrity and no product backup. Similar stories on reviews of other Tineco models too. For $949, I expected an appliance that lasted way past the warranty period and most certainly didn’t expect no product back up.

Do Not Recommend this overpriced Unit – This machine might last a year without malfunctioning. There is minimal support in australia and repairs (if required) can take months. Wow!!! – My s5 pro arrived today and I’ve already cleaned all our hard floors (almost an entire level of a large house). This thing is amazing! It came well packaged and the only set up is clicking the handle into place and plugging in the base plate charger. So easy. I love the beautiful screen display and the machine itself is very stylish. The handle is… Read more

nicely ergonomic and the buttons easy to use with no annoying trigger to hold. When powered on it just glides along the floor with very little effort needed. Vacuums up everything and washes away every bit of dirt leaving no streaks and the floor only slightly wet. The water tanks are easy to remove and click back into place, parts are easy to rinse and you get a cleaning brush and a 2nd roller and filter in the box. I love the way it talks to you, tells you when to empty or fill each tank, when it’s charging and when to run the self clean. Yes, it cleans itself ! Most importantly, my tiles have never been cleaner, even with a steam mop. We have porcelain, ceramic and rough sandstone tiles and it cleaned them all perfectly. I have been searching for something for years for the sandstone that’s doesn’t require using a scrubbing brush and now I have. There is a ring on the screen that changes to red when there is a dirty patch and goes back to blue when clean. It also has a suction only feature for wet spills. This is an amazing floor cleaner, my new friend. Her name is Flora. This is my first Tineco appliance but it definitely won’t be the last. Not cheap but worth the cost.

So Worth It! – We bought the Tineco Floor One S5 Pro and was hoping it would live up to our expectations. Well it has. - No need to vacuum first then mop, it's all done at the same time - Water is controlled by the machine and floors dry quick - Cordless - Spare roller and filter are handy - Big roller copes well with long hair - The self-clean system is… Read more

effortless, the parts you pull out to empty or wipe over is simple and easy - Our house isn’t huge so we’ve had no problem with battery life - Relatively quiet - Voice prompts guide you through the process however it can be turned off if you prefer - We have light glossy tiles and laminated timber flooring and the Max setting provides a streak free result which uses more water than the Auto setting and therefore needing to empty the dirty water tank more often however it’s not difficult - This model offers a Suction only mode which is great if I just want to quickly vacuum dirt from floor without actually using the mop function. - One side of the machine cleans right up to your skirting so just be mindful if you’re doing a hallway for example, you might need to go the opposite direction initially to ensure you get a close clean on both sides - The machine is a little weighty, however the automatic forward motion assists with ease of use. - There is an app which I haven’t even bothered with, not sure what the benefit is, it’s a floor cleaner, just use it, seems to be unnecessary tech. - Modern streamline machine.

This is a hard floor cleaner however we’ve had no issues with running the machine over our carpet quickly on suction only mode for a light vacuum, keep in mind it won’t give deep carpet suction that a normal vacuum would provide as it's meant for hard floors.

A little pricey however worth it for such an easy cleaning solution, it really takes little effort and our floors have never been cleaner.

You need this machine in your life! – I purchased this machine to clean the vinyl flooring in my new house. We have 2 big dogs - several times their water buckets have been spilt. the floor. I run another vac over to pick up the mountains of dog fur, but this machines picks up what is left as well as mopping. My only bugbears are, you can only use their cleaning solution which is quite expensive for a cleaning product and it only goes close to the skirting board on one side - I think the newer machine can do both sides. I did have an issue where it wasn't charging - I took it back to Godfreys and it was sent away and returned within 2 weeks. I love this machine, it really saves you time and is simple to use requiring little effort. The machines gives reminders to refill the water tank and empty the dirty water tank. So glad I purchased it - it really is a great tool to have in your home.

Excellent cleaning and easy to maintain – The Floor one S5 Pro is an ideal home appliance for the busy parent or “pet parent” cleaning wet spills, or accidents are quick and easy. You refill the water tank every 2-3 uses for large areas and the floors are left smelling fresh and clean after every use. The only flaw I find is the dirty water tank having to empty it for its cleaning cycle and then having to empty it again after. Overall I would recommend getting it. Show details

Where have you been all my life! – With two dogs a teen and a man in the house, keeping the floor clean was a never ending tedious job. Vacuum and mop at the same time? How can this be possible? stinks The colour of the water is testimony to the cleaning it does. Take the mop head off, let it dry. Pop the cover off and give it a quick rinse (to remove trapped dog hair etc) If you don’t want it talking to you simply turn off voice commands - personally I like it. I can’t remember loving an appliance so much and I tell everyone to try it. Come to my house and you will find yourself cleaning my floors! I bought from eBay Godfrey’s store. It was 899 plus I had a $50 off eBay promo offer. Finally, I was tossing up with the S5 and the next model up and I thought this would be adequate for my needs and budget.

Overpriced garbage. The most annoying points: 1. Has a large container for dirty water, however, you need to empty the thing every ten minutes when there's literally 2cm of dirty water in it. What's the point of the large tank? 2. Does not clean edges AT ALL, even though one of its claims to fame is that it cleans right up to the wall. Lies. … Read more

3. Leaks water when it feels like it. This is intermittent and I have no clue what causes it. 4. Doesn't clean properly. Granted, I have textured vinyl wood-look alike floors which dirt does get trapped in, but this thing doesn't even come close to removing ANY of it. If there's a mark on the floor it 8 times out of 10 won't remove it. I think wipe the mark with a cloth and it is removed, so we're not talking tough marks here. Why can't this uber-expensive machine do the same? Do not waste your money on this product, ESPECIALLY if you have vinyl floors. There are, I'm sure, much better out there.

I bought a cordless Tineco floor cleaner in 2020 for $799.00 when they were new in Australia, purchased from Godfreys in South Australia before Godfreys went bust. It was similar to Tinecos’ more modern S5 hard floor cleaner advertised today. I worked in remote WA during Covid in 2021 and only a few months after we moved - in 2022 - it stopped… Read more

working and the onboard computer voice just kept telling me the dirty water channel was blocked. I cleaned the ‘channel’ over and over again and every time I started it up it would go over about 60cm of floor, stop, leak water everywhere and repeat the same blockage message. The warranty by then had run out and there was no Godfreys in remote WA so I went online and found out that MANY Tinecos purchased by others had done this (coincidentally) just after the warranty had expired and that what this repeating message actually meant was that the machine was broken! As we were in remote WA - it would have cost me over a hundred dollars to send it south to a repairer and as so many of us have learned the hard way - there is no guarantee that it could have been fixed anyway - so I took it to the waste transfer station in South Hedland. It was a brilliant machine while it worked - but the reality is it turned out to be a very expensive white elephant. Ironically in 2022 for $799, I could have paid a CLEANER to fortnightly mop my family/dining/kitchen tiled floors and clean my bathrooms FOR me for 8 months - for the price of this one machine - which despite its technology, could be quite time-consuming as it was often fiddly to fit the clean water reservoir into its spot and despite the auto self-cleaning mode - often required manual cleaning of the dirty water reservoir and unblocking of the channel when cleaning a large area of my tiled floor. This was despite the fact I always vacuumed with a stick vacuum immediately before using the Tineco. So unless things have changed drastically, I would never buy a Tineco - even allowing for the discounts offered by many electrical retailers today.

Tineco doesn’t work after 18 months – Bought this product 18 months ago . Still under warranty . Doesn’t work now . Has a dirty water tank fault , keeps asking to install dirty water tank . Tineco will repair it in Melbourne , I’m in Brisbane . So don’t have a machine to do floors over Xmas until late January 2025 . Paid close to $1000 dollars , money down the Tineco drain . My advice is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on TINECO

Save your money - don't buy – As many have mentioned already, this unit stops working with a "Clean dirty water tank" msg. after multiple washes of the tank (so its spotless),the vac still wont operate displaying the same msg....rendering this appliance useless. Also, somehow it overrides my settings - I mute because it doesn't stop talking, but it still keeps making announcements, but the fact it doesn't work is the reason to avoid buying this unit.

They are sending the money from overseas as well, so who knows how long it is going to take. This whole situation has just been a mess from start to finish and I will never buy one of their products again. I had this replaced by Godfreys once due to the battery running out in about 2 minutes, only to have the second one do the same thing less than 12 months later. I went to make a warranty claim, only to find out that Godfreys is closing down and not accepting warranty returns. I will attempt to go through Tineco, however I have been told that they are painful to make claims through. same way the first one did. The hose comes apart inside, the cleaner complains constantly to change the rollers and empty the unit. I have troubleshooted so many times, as I have worked out how to keep it very clean to avoid the water tank full message. Now Godfrey's has gone into receivership, I am worried that i eon't be able to get this repaired. The girl at the end of the 180 number (Tineco number) was really uneducated on how to help with minor troubleshooting. It was good on wooden floors (originally) but had I known how awful it is on tiles, I would not have purchased another. The other alarming issue is that it connects to your computer and TV, without permission. This could well be a security issue and very hard to remove. I have contacted the company directly twice, once a while ago with no reponse and an hour ago, by email. Personally, I would avoid this cleaner!

was working, it actually does a really good job cleaning the floors.

Investigations on YouTube reveal the device has an inbuilt battery which cannot be replaced by the consumer (or easily by a professional). The battery unit is made up of 6 rechargeable batteries working in an array assembly. It is a known issue (wish I had known before purchase) that any number of these 6 batteries may fail at any given time. Which is why I may start a mopping session at 100%, the battery drain appears normal at first (as it uses the undamaged batteries) then quickly drains down to zero once it depletes the good battery and cycles onto the failed batteries (out of the 6).

I purchased from Godfrey’s but now that they’ve gone bust.. it’ll be a difficult warranty claim through the manufacturer. Very annoyed
