I wouldn’t waste my money on this again. It does not live up to the reviews. Doesn’t lift marks off the floor unless they’re light and new. More often than not I have to get down and remove markswith a cloth and a bit of a wipe. Short battery life. Leaves streaks on the floor - and this has happened since my first use. Alll in all a disappointment. Show details
This product makes cleaning, tile, slate, wooden, all hard floors so easy to clean. It vacuums and mops at the same time, self cleans at the touch of a button. Highly recommended. Show details
I’ve been using the Tineco Floor One S7 Stretch Deluxe for a bit now and honestly… this thing has made my life so much easier. The lay flat HyperStretch design is actually wild. It slides under the couch, under the TV unit, all the spots I usually pretend don’t exist. It vacuums and mops at the same time which, with a toddler in the house, is… Read more
basically essential.
The iLoop sensor does its thing and adjusts the power automatically depending on the mess, so I don’t have to think about anything.
But the best part for me is the self cleaning. I just hit one button and it deep cleans and dries the roller in about five minutes.
No smell, no gross water sitting around, it’s just ready to go again. If you’ve got hard floors, kids, pets or just chaos in your house like me, this is actually such a good all in one cleaner. It does exactly what it says and saves me so much time.

I highly recommend the Tineco Floor One S7 - so easy to use and it’s a complete time saver! We have heaps of low lying furniture, so the 180• lay flat suction is awesome for us! So we aren’t having to try and get low to clean. It’s also very aesthetically pleasing and goes with our decor :) Show details
Really good for hard floors, easy to use and easy to clean! The steaming system isn’t working on mine but still mops and vacuums perfectly fine. Saves a lot of time! - this was gifted
Consumer Warning: TINECO Do NOT buy from Tineco. They refuse to honour their clearly advertised 2-year warranty, and worse — they’re ignoring Australian Consumer Law. My product suffered a major defect. Instead of offering a full refund (as legally required), they tried to fob me off with a depreciated refund — which is unlawful under ACL. … Read more
Their response? “Sorry, it’s our policy.” That doesn’t cut it. Internal policy doesn’t override the law.

Absolute rubbish! Don't waste your money on any of these products. Will stop working just out if the 2 year warranty. Customer service is a joke! Not impressed at all with the product or company. Show details
Tineco kindly gifted me their Floor One S7 team and after using it for a few weeks, I can genuinely say- I love it. Especially being cordless. It vacuums, mops, and steam cleans all at once, which has cut my cleaning time in half. I only had 2 fill the water tank twice. Theres separate clean and dirty water tanks and has an LED screen that shows… Read more
the mode, battery life etc. The floors were dry within a few minutes. I do wish the battery life lasted a little longer, the auto mode is about 40mins, an steam modes will be around 20mins. The self-cleaning function is awesome too, I just press a button and it washes itself—no gross smells or maintenance hassle. Rollers should be changed around every 8 months.
We absolutely love the Tineco Floor One S7 Steam! It cleans our floors thoroughly and leaves them feeling fresh and spotless. The steam function is a game-changer—it’s so satisfying knowing our floors are not only clean but also sanitized without harsh chemicals. The sleek design is a bonus, and it’s surprisingly easy to maneuver around the house. If you’re looking for a powerful, efficient, and stylish cleaner, this is it! Highly recommend! Show details
Honestly I couldn’t go back to not having one of these machines, it is genuinely life changing specially as a busy mum to 3! It vacuums, mops and steam cleans your floors AND it’s self cleaning. Like what more could you ask for? I would 100% recommended this to anyone! Show details
I have recently received the new tineco floor pro as a gifted product and couldn’t recommend it more! best. From the hypersteam technology that have kept my floor boards the cleanest they have ever been ( even got inbetween in the tiny groves that have been stuck for months ) to the battery life that can do my whole house which even my lG can’t! We have a baby and a large dog and the floor one keeps the house spotless from all the life messes they create, I couldn’t recommend it anymore then I have and hope this review gives you a great perspective into an even greater product!
Excellent for small light cleaning jobs – I have 200 sqm of floors to be cleaned, mostly polished concrete but with some tiles in the bathroom. It is excellent for small light cleaning jobs but not up to larger tasks. Positives: 1. Leaves the floor looking clean when using the most powerful mode. 2. The roller reaches to the edge of the machine so you can clean right up to the wall. 3.… Read more
Excellent cleaning cycle. 4. Easy to disassemble to clean and swap rollers, filters etc. Negatives: 1. Battery life is way too short for me to clean the whole floor. Even with a recharge I can only clean half. I have disabled all the extra features (such as the light, voice etc) but it doesn't help. A removable battery would be sensible. Recharging is slow. 2. Completely useless on the tiles. The nap is too short. 3. Only cleans superficial dirt, it does a good job in the living rooms but not in the kitchen. 4. The dirty water tank isn't big enough for big cleaning jobs. It has to be emptied and cleaned constantly.
After sales service – Purchased this machine from Godfrey’s for almost 1300.00 Machine was as it promised until after 11 months the roller stopped Contacted Tineco , all good went for repair to Victoria . Roller now propels forward , not backwards , leaving streaks on floor , not happy , lots of communication , no real help . Think twice before purchase

Probably not for the price tag – Bought this today. $909. Does the job but expected better for the price tag. Cons: -Takes a lot longer then a standard mop as it does less tile space per 'sweep' and requires multiple sweeps per section. -It's hard to get it to stop running away from you. -use almost the whole battery just doing the main areas of a 200sqm house. -no scrubber… Read more
so still have to use fingernails to scratch hard marks off tiles -doesn't hit corners or walls unless you can move along them sideways, I still have to use a cloth to get into the corners. -The light on it makes it hard to see the marks that are still on the tiles. -It leaves streak marks on my dark tiles which my $50 Kmart steam mop doesn't. -it's heavy
Pros: -it does a decent clean -it moves easily -it uses fresh water constantly rather then a bucket using dirty -comes with spare filter and mop
Considering if I can get a refund but might give it one more try.
I cant say anything bad about it. except the French voice – Well, I love this machine had it 3 months now I have 2 dogs who are family and live in the house. In a very clean environment. gob smacked with how nice and shiny our white glass tiles came up. Now i Love this machine once i got used to it. does good wheelies as well ha-ha but true. Now that my tiled floors are spotless & this is no Bull S**t. I'm so proud of my floors now even though our 2 girls are running in and out all day they do leave a few marks now and again but then i hit those with the mop. The Tineco liquid cleaner is excellent as well but give the floor an hour after the wash with the additive in the Pro, Then look at your floor. I bet you will go Wow like I did. Enjoy your new machine I do. The only thing I don't like is the voice of a French robot. I haven't worked out how to change it yet.
LOVE THIS APPLIANCE – Purchased a few weeks ago. Have used this appliance twice now. It vacuums and mops at the same time and a bonus is self propelled. another bonus. The dirty water that comes out on what I thought were extremely clean floors is mind blowing. I love this appliance. To be fair the cost price for this retails at around $1200 and I would have never considered it but as an electrical store was closing down we picked this up at a fantastic price.
Design failing the purpose – a summary about 8 months usage. Pro 1. Efficient floor vacuum and mop 2. Cleaning solution is cheap comparing to other brands 3. have difficulties for parts replacement in retail channels 1. Water tank is small and easily empty; I usually have battery 50%+ but I have to refill clean water tank for 3-4 times to finish cleaning 200m2 floor space 2. U find all residue and dirty in the dirty water tank 3. Basically cleaning is required after each usage which is the major pain point and time consuming; 15 min for me and disgusting 4. Many parts require cleaning after usage; mop, filter, dirty water tank. 5. I bought @799 on sale but I would pay a few hundreds more for a robot cleaner with self cleaning function as well as weeks of bin capacity @ docking station
This is the best vacuum mop I have come across – I have tried everything hand hold mops to steam mops and nothing compare to the tineco mop. It leaves my floor looking the best they have looked And best thing is it vacuum up the little things I may have missed. There and no cords so you don't have to worry about moving plugs and self cleans when you finish using it. And it let's you know when to empty the water tank and when to refill the water Show details
Changed my life – I was struggling to have the energy to vacuum and mop my floors. Not anymore !! My floors are now shiny and no dust to be found. I’m asthmatic and controlling the dust was a struggle 1 use of the Tineco there is no dust and it was so quick. I have a muscle disorder so I was worried about the weight of the machine, I shouldn’t have when the motor is going it is so easy. Do yourself a favour and spend the bit extra you won’t regret it.
Well thought out and beautiful designed but very $$$ and more of a luxury item – Overall: Well thought out appliance that combines a luxurious look/feel with powerful floor cleaning ability. It combines the physical scrubbing power of a mop (with a water bucket) with the convenience of a steam mop with microfibre pads. Floor left a little wet after use, but no more then mopping and it dries without streaks. Only used for a few… Read more
weeks so far so cannot comment on Tineco's customer service or warranty claims process. It is heavy to lift, but tilts for use and glides effortlettley over floors and has a swivel head to move around corners and objects with ease. Biggest downfall is the price at $1300. Unfortunately, as great as it is with minimal flaws ,if it was to break and couldn't be repaired under warranty I couldn't justify spending that much to repurchase. For $1300, you still have to manually clean floors and I find a robovac that will automatically go and clean my hard floors and carpets while we are out of the home to be a better purchase.
Pros/Best Features: - Self cleaning mode that cleans the microfibre head while docked/charging. - Looks beautiful and sleek and isn't an eyesore to have the docking stand out where people can see. - Docking station has thoughtfully placed slots for the extra cleaning head, filter and brush. - Release buttons for the water canister and removable parts for cleaning are easy to use (no wiggling things around or having push hard - things simply click and lift). One water tank was sufficient for our place. - Placement of digital screen and large buttons located in perfect spot. - The 4 cleaning modes "Auto,Max, Ultra and Suction": can use auto for most of the floor and switch to the ultra for a hard/crusted spill - ultra will drain the battery extremely fast. - Has a "SmoothPower bi-directional self-propulsion system" which makes it effortlessly glide around. Head is easy to manoeuvre. - Runs you through an audio tutorial for first use, which is great if you are someone like me who hates reading the manual. Optional ongoing voice commands that can be turned down/off.
Cons/Shortfalls: - The price. While similar in price to a Dyson vaccum, a Dyson replaces every vaccum/broom you will ever need. This doesnt. While it's amazing for a whole house vaccum/mop, we still found ourselves reaching for the spray mop/paper towel to clean up small spot messes over this. It also can't be used on carpets, so we still used the steam microfibre pad mop for that. It's really only replaced the spin bucket/mop we used, however to replace a broken mop is extremely cheap but if this malfunctions/breaks and it's not covered under warranty I wouldn't repurchase. It's more of a luxury item, not an essential. To be honest I find my $50 Kmart steam/microfibre pad from Kmart a more thrilling buy because it's amazing for the price. This is what you would expect for the price. - ~0.7mm gap left uncleaned between tall wall skirting boards and edge of microfibre roller. - It is very heavy to lift. This isn't an issue while using as it glides over floors effortlessley, but anyone in a multistorey home or one with steps would need to consider the weight of carrying this up/down stairs. - Advertised as being great to grab for spot cleaning messes, but in the manual it states that you need to empty the dirty water canister after each use, which doesn't really make it very efficient. I can only image the smell and potential mould in the canister if it was used to clean up a spill like soup or milk/cereal and not emptied immediately. - The overuse of plastic packaging everything comes in. - the motorised wheels sometimes pull in opposite direction, so you are fighting it or while you are trying to let it go slowly over a crusted spill it's trying to move forward. I wish there was a feature to turn this off or reduce how motorised they are. - There is a ~140degree limit to tilting the handle, so I wasn't able to clean under the beds and sofa as this exceeded it. Setting up - Very simple & straightforward with illustrated steps on the inside of the box. I find having to read a long, convoluted manual frustrating so I really appreciate how quick this is to do and that it's set-up in minutes. Comes with a spare microfibre roller, filter & 1L of cleaning solution. The default voice setting is very loud, however it can be turned down easily and people with hearing impairments would probably find this useful. It can connect to wifi but I can't really see the point of this.
Cleaning solution - $24.99 from Godfreys with one capful for each full tank. Suitable for all indoor hard surfaces - our hardwood floors have come up beautifully & streakfree. Our dog has allergies/sensitivities and floor cleaners in the past have caused itchy paws and tummy rashes, but he has no issues with this one. Happy to repurchase this solution, however if Godfreys decide to stop stocking it no alternatives to solutions are given.
Battery Time - Full charge gives a generous ~40 mins of use, but the recharging time is 4-5 hours. This didn't bother me as it was only used for a whole-house-clean, and the docking station charges it.

Good but not perfect. Would appeal to those for whom aesthetics are important – The Tineco S7 Pro is a premium product carrying a premium price tag, and it certainly exudes a premium aura. This cleaner has impressed me and truly emanates a sense of… Read more
luxury. It was instantly noticed and viewed with some envy by my style-conscious friends. Although it has some drawbacks, listed below, these are counterbalanced by numerous great features.
I have been using it for about a month now and choosing between a 3 and 4-star rating was challenging, but I finally settled on 4 stars (good), as I believe the positive aspects outweigh the issues. However, I would suggest that given the hefty price tag, it's probably not a wise investment for those who aren't style-conscious or don't need the
Positive Aspects: =========== - It's an aesthetically pleasing product. If you own or appreciate a chic, modern house/kitchen or Apple products, this might be a great fit for you. - It might also be a suitable choice for the elderly or those with poor eyesight. Several features appear to be designed for those with some level of disability, such as motor assist movement, spoken instructions, a large display with a colour-based debris detection system, and more. - It operates quietly, except when it begins by loudly, verbally announcing instructions. Fortunately, this feature can be disabled. - It can cover a large area quite quickly. I was able to clean the hard floor area of my house in roughly 30 minutes, including a bit more effort on a large dried blob of ketchup on the floor that neither child claimed responsibility for! - The cleaning process is quicker than traditional mopping when taking into account prerequisites like vacuuming or sweeping, especially in a house with kids. - I've predominantly used the auto mode, which suits my house well. However, it's comforting to know other features are available for future use. - The cleaner is quite lightweight, which makes me question the necessity of motor assist on the wheels. - The auto wash feature is effective. I haven't encountered the cleaning issues others have reported. - The vacuum component's suction power is commendable and picks up a lot of dirt from hard surfaces where my Dyson fails. - The standalone base station is a nice touch and I like that it stands up on its own (without the base station).
Issues/Room for Improvement: ==================== - The motor assist on the wheels often moves opposite to the intended direction, and it occasionally gets stuck. There's no option to disable the motor assist, which seems unnecessary due to the product's light weight. This might pose a problem for the elderly or people with balance issues. - The excess soft plastic packaging on everthing including the manual, although recyclable, is disappointing as we don't have soft plastic recycling in our area. - Several points in the warranty, like the authorized dealer exception, may conflict with Australian consumer law (though I'm not a legal professional). - The 2-year limited warranty seems short for such a premium product. I'd expect a 5 to 10-year (limited) warranty for an item at this price point. - The battery's charging time is lengthy, and its exclusion from even the short-term warranty is concerning. - The manual states that the handle should not exceed an angle of 142 degrees to prevent leaks. It's an oddly specific value and unfortunately, I haven't owned a protractor since high school, and my children are too young to have one in their pencil cases. - While it performs better than my vacuum cleaner at getting close to walls or skirting boards, it still doesn't match up to my mop hitting the skirting boards. - The self-cleaning mode only works when the base is plugged into power. - The cleaner fails to reach the grout between tiles but the vacuum does suck the larger loose dirt out. - There's no option to manually adjust the water usage, although it typically uses a reasonable amount.
Nitpicking: ======== - Don't label something as the 'Pro' model when the documentation specifically states it isn't meant for professional/commercial use, and doing so voids the warranty! - The default voice setting is loud! Thankfully, it can be turned off. - It's puzzling why this cleaner needs access to my Wi-Fi network. Although not mandatory, I can't comprehend why anyone would want to connect their vacuum to the internet. - It's strange that the box uses 3D renders of the product rather than actual photos, especially when it's such a visually appealing product. - One is restricted to using Tineco's cleaning solution. However, considering a bottle will last a long time and costs around $20, it's a relatively minor issue. - I would have appreciated a carpet wash mode or attachment, though this might have posed technical challenges.
In conclusion, this cleaner boasts numerous impressive features that have grown on me. The positive aspects seem to outweigh the drawbacks, and I'll certainly keep using it. Personally, I wouldn't pay such a high price for this (or any) cleaner, but I can see several of my trendier friends not hesitating to spend this much on the right product. I also understand how some features might benefit people with poor eyesight or mobility.

Slightly above average but not for the price – Summary: The cleaner worked well in doing what it is designed to do. But I could not find a good reason to justify its price in terms of the premium cost and the privacy surrounding its app (more on this below). The Unboxing Experience: The cleaner came in a box with minimal assembly required. But already, I’m disappointed in the excessive amount… Read more
of plastic bags, foam liners, plastic films, card box inserts, and non-collapsible space fillers used in the packaging. Even the instruction manual is packed in its own plastic bag. Why?! There are other ways to keep the cleaner looking clean and shiny. Further into the opening experience, I've found the quick start instruction on the first flap of the box, on a swing tag attached to the handle, on a printed card inside the water tank, on stickers at various places on the product, and of course the separate instruction manual. It gives the impression that this must be either very difficult to use or it is very fragile. The spare parts tray is easy to assemble to the base station. It provides a convenient and tidy place to keep everything together. However, the base station does not come with cable management feature (the hidden groove typically found under kettles and robovac base stations) to keep the power supply chord in a tidy manner. The attempted wood grain surface texture on the main barrel body is tacky. It does not match the sleek and smooth finish on the rest of the product. Upon placing the cleaner on charge before use as instructed, the extremely loud voice prompt gave me a fright confirming it was charging. It is unnecessary especially with the giant screen showing the charging status. That giant screen is probably the best looking feature of the cleaner – it is colourful, bright, animated, useful and big. But it could have been so much more functional and user friendly if it had been a touch screen rather than being controlled by a limited number of small buttons on the handle. And to place the cleaner on charge, it needs to be lifted up onto its base station. Not possible to just wheel it on like a robovac.
First Use Impression: After reading through all the printed instructions, and charged the unit overnight, it was time to finally turn it on and use it. But just when I thought I’m done with all the instructions, next comes the audio tutorial. You have to do everything it say otherwise it won’t let you go to the next step. And the volume is too loud even with my hand over the speaker. You can literally feel the vibration in your hand. Luckily the tutorial is a once off event only. The first thing I did once the tutorial had finished was to go into the settings menu and turn down the volume to low which then is too soft when the cleaner is running. There are only 3 levels available. I did not dare to try the high setting. Finally get to use it for what it was intended for. The size of the brush head has good coverage similar to a normal vacuum cleaner. The manoeuvrability is also good and can twist and turn easily similar to a stick vacuum cleaner. It cleans almost within 1cm of the wall but there are still some food traps. This is probably the most useful and significant improvement over the previous S5 model. The noise a quieter than a vacuum cleaner but also less suction as well. The weight is heavier than a Dyson stick vacuum cleaner. They have tried to offset this by motorising the wheels to assist with the push and pull. It is quite powerful and at times it feels like it is pulling you along. But it is not always spinning correctly especially when the floor is wet or on slippery tiles. In which case it might sometimes be working against you in going in the opposite direction. Access with this product is a bit limited. You can’t tilt the handle back low enough to get under large or low furniture nor can you stand the handle upright (but not in the resting position) to get into tight spaces as it will pause the cleaning. The soft brush is good for not scratching the timber floors but it is incapable of cleaning grout in tiled floors. They should have included a harder brush roller for tiles. The self clean button should be moved elsewhere (or ideally onto a touch screen). I had accidentally pressed the button multiple times during cleaning and more audio instructions came on telling me to return it to the base station. Luckily I have turned down the volume already. It can pick up reasonably big pieces of food including noodles, pasta, and peas. But not so well in picking up dried on or oily food. They will need multiple runs to clean properly without leaving streaks of oil even when in the Max mode. Unlike a manual mop, you can’t control the pressure being applied on the floor to make it clean harder. While cleaning in the Auto mode with no dirt to clean, there is way too much water left on the floor. Going forward is a bit better than going backward but it needs adjustments. I had also tried the Ultra mode. There is little documentation on this one despite the amount of instructions provided with this cleaner. But the idea is to use electrolysed water to generate hypochlorous acid from the salt in the tap water (or the added cleaning solution) to disinfect the floor. While the idea is sound and it is a common, effective, safe practice, but the way it is implemented is very gimmicky. The clean water tank lights up to highlight to you the bubbles it is creating before you can use it. During the first 25 minutes clean, it used up 51% of battery (2% of which was on the audio tutorial) and the whole tank of clean water, but the dirty water tank is less than one quarter full. The rest of the water was on the floor. On turning the cleaner off, it provided even more audio instruction telling me to return it to the base station. Selected the quick self clean. It did remove some of the hair stuck on the roller and it finished with a spin dry which is still damp the next day. Whereas other premium brand had included a heater to dry and disinfect it completely. Then more audio instructions to go clean the dirty water tank. The process was easy enough. But despite all the instructions they have provided, they should have included the instructions on how to pour out the dirty water without it running down the outside of the container and back towards whoever is standing behind it because there is no spout. So don’t hold it like a kettle with the handle at the back – tip the dirty water out on the corner of the container with the handle on the side instead. More voice prompt when I returned the tank back to the cleaner. A bit too authoritarian and bossy for me. That’s when I decided to turn it off but not before one last word from the cleaner telling me the voice prompt has been turned off.
The App: An app can be downloaded to your phone with a few more settings you can control. It is easier to navigate and adjust purely because it is on a touch screen. But there is absolutely no reason why it could or should not be included in the cleaner itself already. Unlike a robovac where you can start and stop while you are not at home, there is no remote control functions in the app that allow or require you to control it remotely. And according to the Google Play Store, this app requires access to your location, microphone, phone, photos, files, storage, and camera. I consider that a big invasion of privacy for almost no functional gain. Needless to say I have removed it from my phone already.
Settling In: After a week of use, the performance of the roller improved but still leaving the floor wet (about the same as a well wrung out manual mop). The water usage is more in sync with the battery usage for an estimated 45 minute session in the Auto mode with clean floor. So I would recommend to wash the roller properly before first use to wear it in. I have been using the super self clean once a week. It is just a longer version of the quick self clean. The roller is still damp the next day. But there is no smell from the roller so far after about a month of use. However, it leaves water and dirt on the base station during every spin dry. So it is an additional item that needs to be keep clean and maintained. Who knows why they have decided to add threads to the wheels. It is not a car. But that is another food trap that is difficult to clean after a while.
Conclusion: Functionally this is a good cleaner. It does what it say it does but I would classify this as a slightly above average wet dry hard floor vacuum cleaner with a few bits of other tech bolted onto it. The only feature that is unique to this cleaner is the use of electrolysed water for cleaning and disinfection but it is not backed up with any official certification for its effectiveness. Generally I would consider the usefulness of any appliance by the number of other appliances and tools it can replace. For this cleaner, I can’t get rid of the normal vacuum cleaner because it can’t be used on carpet, and I still prefer the manual spray mop for small areas as it requires less work and I have more control on how hard to scrub the floor. So the only thing I might be able replace is the old manual mob and bucket. But even then, a bucket require less maintenance than this cleaner. So I would not say this is an outright winner especially for the price.
Find out how Tineco Floor One S7 Pro compares to other Steam Mops & Hard Floor Cleaners
Know better, choose better.
Great for the kids' food mishaps; some tips – The Tineco S7 Pro Hard Floor Washer is a beautifully designed device. Everything is really well finished and there's been a lot of thought put into the design. We frequently give the house a quick mop so I didn't think it could do much more. That said, a quick mop around the kitchen found the Tineco does a much more thorough job than us. The… Read more
Tineco S7 is really easy to use. With motor assisted wheels, it uses so little effort to go back and forth for general mopping or dealing with spills. The lights are pretty powerful, making it extremely easy for me to spot one or two things I had missed.
The large display at the front is well placed for you to see while changing the mode, or while using the Tineco (so you can see where it's picking up more mess).
Button placement is also practical and good.
The design and finish look great too.
After use, I really like the self cleaning of the rollers, which can wash and (partially) dry them out. There's a few other little tasks to do which only take a few minutes; rinsing out the dirty water container, roller cover and an air filter, then swapping to the already provided 2nd roller and air filter while the cleaned ones dry.
The aim of the Tineco is to help you with mopping up in general and also taking care of partially liquid messes (like spilled food and drink).
All up, I'd say it's a beautiful and easy to use device.
Please note, I was supplied a device to try, and I do get to keep the review model. This is regardless of what I write and the above are my honest opinions.
Ok for everyday but has major flaws – I got this little mop/vacume to try in July 2023. I have now used it for 3 weeks and these are my thoughts :) Upon opening, it was well presented, well packed and came with everything we need to get started right away. Instructions were simple and easy to follow. Things I like: - This guy is LIGHT!! Its perfect for those who can't hold heavy… Read more
vacumes or who might have arthritis etc and struggle with grasping motions etc because the handle is so open. You really can operate it with 2 fingers! - I like that it's sort of self propelled. This makes it significantly easier to use and muuuch less arduous on the arms- see above point! (and my video) -I like the square head, it allows you to get right up into every square set area in a home eg kitchen cabinets etc. This is something that is lacking with my Roborock because it's round. - There is a major flaw with the edge suction though- see below. - Its quiet while operating (Compared to a full sized vacume) - It handles muddy floors REALLY well. It gets almost everything off in the first pass but some take a few more if they need softening first. I've not found anything so far that it hasn't been able to scrub off for me, especially once softened. - Its fast and easy to use for quick once overs of floors. - It sounds dumb but I really like the light. My house is dark even with lights on and the light really helps you to see where you've done and haven't done etc. - I LOVE that it scrubs the floor rather than just running a cloth over it. It really removes dirt, mud, spills etc. - I love that it self cleans (Though this has major limitations as well- see below) - The user interface is easy to navigate and understand- With some exceptions (see below) but once you get used to it, its pretty good. Easy to see location and good screen and easy to use & understand. - I like that you can vacume only (though this has major limitations- see below) - I comes with solution, brushes and every other little part you might possibly need.
Things that need work - There's a LOT!: - THE MAJOR FLAW: The vacuming only setting doesn't lift the wet brush! Meaning, if you've started elsewhere in the home and mopped, your carpet floors will be getting that same dirty wet mop run over them while you vacuume. While this isn't something major, it kind of is at the same time... I was not aware of this and was getting really confused why even with it set to suck only, my bedroom carpet floors were still getting wet. I also REALLY don't like the idea of a wet dirty mop running over the carpets. - The vacume is ok. But only ok. It doesn't suck as hard (no where near it) as a regular full sized solely vacuume device. But it's good for a quick once over of hard floors or very short pile carpet ONLY. If You want deep dust/hair/pollen/dirt removal from your carpets you will still need to use a dedicated actual vacuume. This is not capable of that. This is slightly more than a sweeping of your carpets if that makes sense.
- I can't notice ANY difference between Max power vacuume and not. They're both lacking. Its absolutely useless at medium or long pile such as rugs.
- The User Interface says "suction" But it also still shows the water on the side - this is REALLY confusing. It should say "vacuume" if that's what it's doing to do. "Suction" leads one to assume that is the setting for how hard it sucks while its mopping. (Especially if you've already mopped somewhere and it's wetting your carpets)
-The self propulsion sometimes has a mind of it's own LOL. She basically runs away with you if you let her lol. - Straight out of the box, the voice is LOUD, like SO SO LOUD. There's no need for it to be set to scream level from the get go lol.
- It has to be emptied and cleaned after every use, but you can't put the wet pieces back into the machine straight away. They need to be sat outside or in the kitchen etc to dry for 24hrs first. This is mildly annoying as i'm a set and forget kind of person.
- a MAJOR flaw in my opinion is that only ONE side is edge cleaning. I need BOTH sides of the head to be suitable to get right up to the kitchen and bathroom cupboards so that i'm not then required to walk through the cleaned areas to change the side that cleans to the very edge... Its disappointing to say the least and mildly misadvertising too.
-Don't expect this mop to clean the grout between tiles. It doesn't lol.
- Battery life isn't the best. At most you're only going to get 35 mins. And then it takes 4-5 HOURS to charge.
-The app. WHY?!?!! There's 0 need for it and everything that you see in the app is ON the actual vacuume itself. A needless app is very annoying bloatware I don't need or want on my phone.
-Cleaning- This little guys is NOT a set and forget type of cleaner like the roborock s8 pro ultra. You NEED to empty it every time, clean the chunks and icky mess of hair and ditritus out from the filters and the "self cleaning roller" really only scrapes a heap of crud into the edges of the squeegee part and main unit. This also needs cleaning.
- You CAN NOT control how much water comes out of this guy either. So while it's great if you have hardwood floors that really only want a light mopping. It does auto sense but for some reason, it still gets puddles every now and then- so be wary of that with hardwoods. But if you want a LOT of water on your floors, forget it. This isn't the guy for you.
- Pet hair will get stick in the throat of the machine, so while it is fantastic for a quick once over and removal of gritty bits and dirt and pet hairs, be prepared to have to clean the machine after to get it all out from the throat using the brush provided.
- Is there a pause or stop button? If there is its HARD to find! I have to just turn the whole thing off and power it down for a second if I need to pause to talk to my spouse or pick up a toy etc? A dedicated pause/stop button would be really helpful.
- Because of the water inside it, you CAN NOT lay this guy down to get in under beds, overhanging benches, tables etc. The max angle you can lay it down to is barely enough to get under deep set stuff (142 deg)
So overall best use for this machine? A light once over/quick mop everyday for maintenance of your hard floors. It will NOT replace a full vacuume and really, its pretty crap on carpet of any pile. But for a quick, light, easy to use everyday electric mop and vac it's pretty good :)
Would I buy it again? I don't think so no. For the spills I tend to get, its easier and faster to just get a chux and wipe it up as it happens. My Roborock does the rest for me and is comparable without me having to lift a finger. And for carpets I will always want to do a full deep vacuume.
- +1
Best invention since the toaster! – I purchased this item recently since my partner does a lot of the house cleaning including vaccuuming up cat hair, and I am impressed! The unit includes an animated setup tutorial which I mostly skipped due to the language option somehow changing to French from the default English upon the first startup. By the time I figured out how to change the… Read more
language back the tutorial had finished. Not knowing how to start the tutorial over from the beginning, instead of consulting the instruction manual, I filled up the DWT (dirty water tank) to its max line with a capful of solution. This was my first mistake which I discovered when the machine would continually pause & beep, telling me to empty the DWT or 'add water'. Long story short, theres a CWT (clean water tank) on the back of the unit thats supposed to be filled with water and cleaning/deodorising solution..The DWT should be clean and empty to start off with. So, onto the review of this appliance, after I got past this silly mistake. The self-propelled fwd and reverse wheels are great. The unit almost pulls you along but not overly so, so you are always in control. It's quite light weight too. I have only used 1 of the 4 modes available so far which is auto-mode. The 3 other modes include suction (for extra water suction), max (for embedded stains & extra water), & Ultra (for deep cleaning). The unit does an awesome job of cleaning both carpet, rugs, and floorboards. Occassionally I noticed it drop a small roll of wet cat hair on the floor, (which I suspect occurs where the roller has collected the hair, but before rotating to the vaccuum inlet it gets dropped back on the floor). This is easily fixed however by another pass over the area. The unit is also not overly loud. I noticed during its operation a thin film of water would be left behind which is good because the deodoriser in the solution smells great. Walking back into the rooms I cleaned a few minutes later there was a noticeable sense of the rooms having been cleaned and deodorised, without the heavy dirty water smell. I really like the audible and large animated display on the unit which is always visible when in use. There is a phone app available as well which amongst other things has the option to check for a firmware upgrade as they become available. After using it the first time I went to return the unit to its charger base when a reminder popped up on the display also audibly reminding me to start the self cleaning mode. Here there are 2 options - quick clean (2 mins) or deep clean (6 mins). While on the base this is easy to do by pressing the self clean button on the handle. The unit then proceeds to clean the roller and internal pipes, and additionally dries the roller. I then got a message to say this was complete & was reminded to empty & clean the DWT to prevent odours. This was simple to do by unclipping the tank and rinsing everything under water which took less than a minute. If the small filter becomes excessively dirty or clogged it may require a brush to clean thoroughly. The unit does come with a spare filter, and spare roller & filter holders which clip onto the charger base. In summary, I am very impressed with this appliance. It does come with a rather hefty price tag, but I'm not sure there's anything else quite like it out there, at least for the moment, and it is clearly a quality item that does a great job of making the job of vaccuuming and mopping so much easier.
