on all surfaces. Cleaning it is sometimes awkward especially the casing for the roller head but all vacuums are like this. You can’t expect a vacuum to work if you don’t keep it maintained properly.

Follow-up  · I use the crevice tool and the upholstery brush sometimes but mainly the standard turbo head. It picks up pet hair really well. I empty the bin every two to three days - I vacuum every day and have a pet.

Have had it for nearly 2 years. The suction it has is quite good, the floor head does a good job agitating the carpet fibres on our thick carpets and shows how dirty the floor is with the suction indicator. I love how quiet it is on minimum. It came with a lot of accessories and they feel decent quality, the floor head cleaning tool is great… Read more

even has a blade to cut the hair wrapped around the main head. The spare battery is a great thing to have. Love the trigger lock, game changer to the Dysons sticks I've used

Some of the things I don't love with this vacuum.

The auto mode, seems good initially but long hair gets caught in the tube tricking the senor into thinking the floor is dirtier than it is, so I never use it in auto. I also feel the constant adjustments may shorten the motor life.

The dust bin and filters. I am constantly touching the dirt when emptying this unit and it is annoying our old Dyson v6 was worst but this is just as bad. On top of that hair wraps around the cyclone/shroud which reduces suction and causes the filters to clog up quicker and is the main reason its a pain to empty. I prefer bagged vacuums because of this.

The filter cleaning tool, it is a great tool to have but seems gimmicky as when cleaning one filter half of the dirt goes straight to the clean filter, I found its better to do this with a full dust bin as less goes on it surprisingly. The cheaper models have a manual one which I could potentially attach to one of my corded vacuums with modification which I think is better.

The hard floor tool, soft rollers are great for hard floors however this one has a design flaw, the roller barely makes contact with the floor I discovered this pretty much immediately as was comparing nozzles out of the box. The head work fine but the felt/dusting strips around the head do all the work and the roller does stuff all. This head is much quieter than the other one though.

Overall it's a well made vacuum with lots of features and accessories but I feel its not the best build quality for the price tag I've seen these at. It does a good job of cleaning and is very quiet. I might consider a Tineco again in future if the bin setup is better design and the reliability is improved. I never leave it turned on at the wall once its charged and I wait a bit before charging it after it has been used.

After 2 years we had to purchase a new dust bin ( see receipt attached) and by that time several of the little catches to attach different heads were broken. See 2nd pic with wire attached in attempt to fix ( unsuccessful) rubbish product at luxury cost. Show details

Unsure about the tube which I have scratched after 2 uses – So excited about the features of the s12 my husband surprised me with….I have used the vacuum twice on timber flooring and it is okay. Yet to use all the wonderful attachments..the long tube has easily scratched from just two uses. My first reaction is that the powder coating on the outside is not protective as the only things that could have… Read more

I've never looked forward to vacuuming – I have a large 203m2 living space house; on auto, I can clean the whole house all 4 bedrooms have carpet as does the theatre the rest is tiles. there are 3 adults 2 kids and a inside large dog. Best vacuum I’ve ever owned – I asked my partner to pop in and purchase a cheap stick vacuum cleaner so was taken by surprise when he came home with the Tineco instead! After the initial shock at the invoice (and the sudden enthusiasm for vacuuming) I now couldn’t be happier and can admit that this miracle machine is definitely value for money. Dyson multifloor, this does a better job than either of them ever did with the added bonus of being so compact to store and easy to handle. An awful experience – The vacuum was very impressive initially but the motor lasted only 18 months. Prior to Tineco I had a Miele which after 12 years was still doing fine and I gave it away when I thought I was “upgrading” to Tineco. So much for a 2 year warranty. They… Read more

had me over several emails check and recheck the vacuum - all on line as there doesn’t appear to have a local base to take the vacuum in to be checked or repaired. They then couldn’t provide a date of when a new motor head would be provided. They stopped sending me emails thanking me for my patience when I advised that I had officially run out of patience. When I explained I couldn’t leave the house un-vacuumed for months they offered a refund of under $100. I’ve never known anything to depreciate over 90% in a short 18 month period and especially when you can’t replace the defective part. It took advising them that I was going to consumer affairs that I was offered $600. I lost count of the different customer service officers who replied to each email many of whom struggled to understand the content. By that time I had enough of Tineco and purchased a Dyson. Of course I’m now still waiting for my refund from Tineco. A product and company I will avoid hereon. A real shame as it looks impressive and does start off right just ends very badly & very quickly.

Follow-up  · The Dyson has worked much better and has lasted much longer! I haven’t needed Dyson customer service as yet. Refund from Tineco was processed after a long fight!

Poor back up support and Service levels – We bought this Vacuum about 3 years ago and it has worked quite well. Easy to maneuver, Battery life has been good. Overall we were quite happy. identified that the tube connections were the problem, and I needed a new one. I was advised that I could only buy a new tube through Tineco as nothing is available through retailers or service centers. However they would only accept a payment through Pay Pal, which I do not have a don't intend to open one just to buy one $40 unit. Then they offered to transfer money into their Chinese bank account that I have no understanding of. Why is it so difficult, what about Credit and debit card? So, it seems that since Godfreys went bust Tineco has not set up any other service networks to support their products. They only seem interested in changing retailers who do not support their products past warranty. I also got remined many times from Tineco that this product was out of warranty. The unit was 6 months over the 2 years. This whole experience was very disappointing and if I could have easily accessed this $40 part, I would still be a happy customer. Something to take into consideration when on your next purchase.

trying to communicate with Tineco staff, who do not appear to understand what I am telling them, even though I give them all the details (serial number +) with photos. Perhaps they are an off shore company/admin? The motor ONLY needs replacement, and Tineco are now sending links to Amazon who are selling all sorts of parts, but not the required motor part? We have been going around in circles for nearly six months now. I will have to throw in the towel so to speak, and buy another vacuum cleaner. We spent $1200 + for a vacuum cleaner that did not last 2 years, and we cannot get parts for in Australia. The filters need to be cleaned after every vacuum or change of battery; the batteries are fine! BUYER BEWARE and do more research ...

with 2 I can’t even do the downstairs off my home before both need charging and then they take all day to charge up again. The suction isn’t the best and has gradually gotten worse. A big waste of money – I purchased the S3 Hard floor cleaner from Godfrey’s in January 2022. To be honest I probably only used it half a dozen times before I ended up getting a cleaner, and didn’t need it. So it sat without being used for about 12 months. it to her to use. She used it twice before it stopped working and wouldn’t charge. I took it back to Godfrey’s, they kept it overnight and explained that you shouldn’t let it run down to under 30% and to fix it you have to keep lifting it off the charging base every few minutes. I retuned it to my daughter and the next time she used it it wouldn’t recharge again. By this time it was announced that Godfrey’s was going under. The shop is still open but they can’t do anything for me so I contacted Tineco, after a lot of back and forth they told me they don’t have any repair facilities in Australia but they would give me a 20% discount on any further purchases! So no I would not recommend this product or any product from this company

Only lasted 3 1/2 years, motor burnt out – We purchased this vacuum cleaner at Godfreys for $999 in Sept, 2020 after being told by the sales person that it is better than a Dyson. replaced under warranty. In the last year, we have found the suction to not be as good and the batteries don't seem to last as long, perhaps because we have to manually increase the suction. Now, after 3 and a half years, the motor seems to have been burnt out. It is no longer under warranty and I would expect it is not worth repairing. This is really disappointing that a $1,000 appliance does not last more than 3 1/2 years. Our previous Vacuum was a barrel type and lasted almost 20 years, motor still going, just plastic bits breaking.

Absolute rubbish and a RIP OFF – Bought in 2021 for $1100 from Godfrey's. Salesman swore it was best ever. Originally went in for a Dyson stick Vac, (but they didnt sell them) ..he said Tineco was much better, and did the sand on a piece of carpet suction test. All seemed great. Took it back and they sent away to be fixed. Apparently a motor burn out. (Not my fault). Replaced free of charge. NEW one arrives, ok for first week, then suction starts to fail again. Cleaned the filter constantly, had services, still no better. Furious, I gave up and bought a VAX pet vacuum for $195, and almost sucks the floorboards up!!! The specs on the Tyneco show quite low suction wattage... makes sense now. DO NOT BUY THIS STICK VACUUM. It really is crap. And the Godfrey's salesman is either nieve, or doesn't know his products well. Forget about pet hair - it won't work on dust let alone pet hair!! VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR THE OUTRAGEOUS COST! A $50 Vacuum at best. Used on wooden floors.

flex, we literally had to for it suction and work the best, and we only use it 3-4 times a week. Last week, it simply stopped working. Battery was fine, however no noise or suctioning. Took it to our local Godfrey’s to be told that it’s 3 months out of warranty and that it would need to be sent away to be looked at and fix at the expense of us. Just 3 months out of warranty, ironic. Got a call today to be told that our $1200 vacuum cleaners motor has blown up, despite having it regularly serviced, filter cleaned after each use as per the company recommendations and bare in mind, we only use it 3-4 times a week. We’ve now been quoted $350 for the motor to be replaced with no explanation on why this issue has occurred. Can we expect that in another 2 more years this issue happens again? I’ve also emailed the company and have heard nothing back. Should have bought a Dyson.
