Customer Care Very Disappointing – Tip Top make some nice breads but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. I found a disgusting patch of yellow mould on a slice of Tip Top the One that was just 1 day past its “Best Before” date, NOT “Use By” date – there is a big difference. According to www.foodstandards.gov.au, food should not be eaten after the use-by date, as it may pose a health risk. However, you can still eat foods for a while after the best before date as they should be safe but they may have lost some quality. It seems clear to me that the Tip Top bread in question had actually lost all quality and did pose a health risk. I asked Tip Top Customer Service to replace the loaf but they refused point blank. I expected a lot better from this very high profile company and I believe most people would.
