Terrible service – Most appalling company. Had left some items in truck but driver took off and now won't answer calls. Have threatened with police but they don't care

One phone call said it all – I didn't even get as far as booking a move with these guys. The contact I spoke to on the phone was rude, uninformed and provided conflicting (dishonest information). I cannot believe that companies like this still manage to survive in this financial climate when ALL of their reviews are so terrible.

Avoid at all cost – I cannot believe this dodgy dishonest business is still open operating. I wish I had read these reviews prior to purchasing a scoopon voucher in sep 2012 which entitled me to 2 removalist and a truck. I have had the worst experience with Tip Top Removals. later. The owner David had assured me the job won't start until the second removal had arrived so in the meantime my husband had helped the removalist. I should have known the dodgy owner would not honor his verbal agreement because shortly after the terrible removalist experience I receive a letter from the debt collector for an absurd amount of $700.

I have reported Tip Top Removals to the ACCC and NSW Office of Fair Trading and the matter is being investigated!

Scoopon have taken no responsibility for promoting dishonest merchants and for this reason I have boycotted Scoopon.

Please be careful of these online coupon purchases as they can cost you much more than you think!!

Do not use this company! – I am expressing my utter disappointment regarding a delivery made on Friday 13/07/2012 (Pick ups from two locations [Campbelltown & Prestons] and delivered to one location [Redfern]). finally received all mine and my room mates items at 10.30pm (7 or so hours after it was scheduled).

I had tried to contact the company throughout the whole day, with responses of delays in the pick up (saying they were 15 minutes away, every time I called from 1pm up until 8pm). Not only was my calls not being picked up, there were also significant delays in responses. I finally received a contact number of the delivery team in which he was fairly rude and did not provide accurate times of the pick up. He also mentioned that they were not going to make all the pick ups as scheduled (mentioning that the pick up of the items at the second location will also occur the two/three days after). This was unacceptable, as I needed all my items as of that day.

My house mate had taken a day off work to ensure all items would be delivered within the 3 hours I paid for from 1pm. He also had work at 9.30pm which he arrived late to as he did not have any of his items which were still in transit.

I will also mention, the fact that upon delivery, the guys had only done half the job of only unloading the items and not delivering them into my apartment, in which my house mates brother and house mate had to do. The driver mentioned that he wouldn't have deliver the items if there wasn't anyone at the house that could help unload the truck as they had other commitments. They were terrible throughout the whole process. Rushing and causing some minor damage to some items and not ensuring a duty of care for them.

I would not recommend Tip Top Removalists to anyone.

workers arrived at 8am sharp and left at 12pm sharp. In other words, they carried out the work in 4 hours. Since the coupon entitled me to have 3 hours of removalist service, I was expected to be charged at $150 for the extra hour. However, when I checked my bank account on 7 August 2012, I saw that Tip Top Removals have charged me twice, for $300 each time, on 6 August and 7 August 2012. In total, they charged me $600.

I called up on 7 August 2012 and asked them why I should be charged $600. They said they will investigate and if need be, refund me. When I asked them to clarify how much in total I should be charged, they said $300. I told them that the removalist job only took 4 hours, and so I should only be charged $150. They said that the job was carried out from 7.45am to 12pm, which exceeded 4 hours. I said that it was not true, because the workers arrived at 8am sharp and left at 12pm sharp. Tip Top Removals simply refused to listen to my case. I have since lodged a complaint with the Department of Fair Trading.'

I am not the only one then! – I have had a bad experience when dealing with Tip Top removals too. They were 4 hours late and then refused to speak to me over the phone. They also charged my credit card $300 "cancellation fee" and overall were unproffesional and rude. Beware to all those who have the groupon voucher as it will end up costing you a small fortune! Did not deliver the service, simply dodgy!
