Tontine Queen electric blanket. I'm quite disappointed in this electric blanket, mainly because it heats extremely slowly, but more frustrating is the fact that the controller only lights up when you turn it on. There's is no indication that shows the blanket is actually on. It therefore potentially could be dangerous if you think it's off, but it's actually still on. Show details

Product is different to what is advertised – Be extremely vigilant when purchasing any Tontine Electric Blanket as what is listed on the box is not necessarily what you get. The service info line won’t help because apparently “all staff work from home now (Oct 2024) so there’s no one to ask, just write an email to us”. I wrote an email but “Lisa” said it’s not their fault if the blanket… Read more

Unusable due to design fault – There is a significant design fault where the electric connector is 46cm down from the top and 30cm in from the edge. This hard protruding plastic is right under your shoulder and renders the blanket unusable as it has just wiped out 60cm of the width of your bed. I don’t recommend this product at all. Show details

Good product but not quite right – Great blanket, nice and soft can't feel the wires through the fleece, however, this one has been assembled incorrectly, heats under the pillow and not at the feet..warm feet is my main reason for an electric blanket. Show details

Tontine sherpa electric blanket – We bought this King size Tontine Sherpa blanket in 2022. Used it in 22 and 23, but this year one side gave up the ghost on second use. The controller rattles like there is something loose inside, but not being an electrician have left it alone. It had a 2 year warranty but I am at a loss to find my dockets. My bad. Previous blankets have lasted many ears more, so won't but tontine again. Show details

Disappointed – Purchased the king size electric blanket and the controller connection points are in a horrible position, and right where you lay. Wires can’t be felt, but the connection point position defeats the purpose. Very disappointed ! Show details

The protruding electric blanket controller points on the king size mattress interfere with sleeping – We bought a Tontine Sherpa Fleece electric blanket to fit a king size mattress. While the blanket seems to work quite well the controller connection points are at least 20 centimetres inside the extremities of be the mattress. We are constantly hitting our arms and shoulders on the hard connection point or even sitting on them when getting into bed. Show details

Product didn't arrive! – We ordered a totine electric blanket 3 weeks ago. They took our money 3 weeks ago but we just got notified that they can't fulfil our order. That's 3 weeks of winter that my elderly mother could have been enjoying another brand of electric blanket. Extremely poor service. Disappointed!

Love it! – Love this electric blanket. It’s so easy to use, very comfortable (can’t feel the wires), heats up quickly and is very warm. So much better than my old Breville which had lots of cords dangling everywhere and was a nuisance to operate. Very happy with my Tontine. Show details

Lovely and cosy – This is a lovely electric blanket and it's so cosy. My bed needs deep queen sheets and this fits the bed well and I can tuck it in properly. The heat settings are all comfy without getting too hot and the Sherpa fleece makes it warm to sleep on even when the blanket isn't on. Show details

Excellent Electric Blanket at an Affordable Price – We bought this electric blanket at BigW online for $89.00 a few weeks ago. We have used it half a dozen times so far and we have found it very good. The blanket is fitted, and while the fitting is not overly tight it is firm enough to work well. The advertising promotes the 'Sherpa fleece top layer' as being an added layer of comfort. I agree.… Read more

One can't feel the wires at all. We are not big people but I don't think that would make much difference. The recommendation is purchase a 'safety switch' which I did from Bunnings for around $30.00. After all, there is a decent electric current running through the mattress I guess running as with all electric blankets, so better to be safe. The controller has 3 temperature settings which appear very adequate. I think that you can't go wrong with this blanket.
