Toro BRC-28 Brush Cutter 23522
VerifiedMPN: BRC-281 review
Good for some jobs, bad for others – Beast of a mower. Can handle very thick material without stalling. Unfortunately I would only recommend using this machine for overgrown grass/brush on flat ground - and only if you have plenty of time. Unfortunately a few design flaws make it unsuitable for hilly or rough terrain. The reverse gear is very weak, meaning you can't drive down a slope and reverse back out. And no locking diff makes it a nightmare to use on rough or wet ground - one wheel constantly ends up spinning.
Don't expect handling the machine to be a walk in the park either. It's self driven - but you have to steer/turn the over 100kg machine yourself.
Zero turn mower is much easier to operate when cutting tall grass. A tractor/slasher combo is much faster and easier with woody brush like blackberry and gorse. But if neither of those are an option - like if you're going around tight spaces under trees - this does the trick.
