Tortellini Breast Feeding Cushion
1 review
Wish I had bought one for my first baby – I saw these cushions in a store when my first baby was about 6 months old and never bothered to buy one as he was at an age when we no longer needed a support pillow for breast feeding. I used a pillow for him and it was never "just right" as the pillow would slip around, be too high, too soft and not the right shape. When I was pregnant with my… Read more
second baby I remembered these pillows and wanted one and was lucky enough to buy one off of Gumtree which had never been used instead of paying $90 retail. I took this pillow to hospital with me and it was fantastic for breast feeding my newborn baby. I had a c section so found it wonderful for supporting my baby while feeding both in bed and sitting in a chair. The cushion wraps around your waist and supports the baby at the right height for feeding. Mine is denim on one side and different shades of green on the other side and they have a trendy large wooden button that buttons the cushion up into a tortellini shape which you can use to lay your baby in from when they are 8 weeks or so that acts as a little support seat/cushion. With the button done up you would never know its a breastfeeding cushion so could be used later as a cushion on a couch. My baby is 4 months old and I am still using it for breastfeeding as its great for supporting my baby as well as my arm if I am not sitting in a chair with arms on it.
I would recommend any pregnant lady to invest in one of these or buy one as a gift or gift hints to receive one as a gift as they are truly something that you will use all the time for a long period of time. Its also made from fair trade fabrics so you are doing something good when purchasing one. Great colour choices that will not date and will look nice as a cushion later as when it is done up it doesn't really look like a breastfeeding cushion. it would be great if it had a cover that could come off to be washed
