What a truly exceptional car to drive, super spacious, powerful and reliable. I cannot fault this vehicle. It’s always a pleasure to drive with so much room in the cargo area for camping

Very good car suitable for families
very good family car , It has a bit high fuel consumption ,rather than that it is amazing, very smooth ,bought it use same year, no issues or complains at all
Purchased in June 2019 for A$35,000.00.
Brilliant family SUV
I upgraded from a BMW 320i when I had my second baby and don’t know how I coped with such a small car for so long!
The kluger is basic but still stylish and very practical.
It has 5 seats with the option of 2 more in the far rear. Air conditioning reached right to the back and can be turned off if not needed back there.
I’m sitting at around 9.5L / 100 kms which is high but good for a big car. From empty it’s around 80-90 dollars to fill.
Servicing sits around 180-200 and so far I have had no issues.
Amazing family car
I use this car mainly for family transport, my everyday car. It has cotton service once as we just purchased it just over 6 months now which Toyota does every 6 months
Very reliable performance and excellent driving experience
- Commuting, family transport and school pickup
- Daily driving around 30 ~ 50 km
- Half-yearly service at a fixed price $180
- But a bit high fuel consumption 12.8 liter for 100 km
Purchased in December 2015 for A$41,500.00.
Disappointed with key quality and warranty
Purchased this car new in Jan 2018 - in Feb 2019 the key broke - it just opened and the inside computerised piece fell out ( could not find it ) - the car is still under warranty and yet I had to pay $245 for a repair . There was not a mark on the key itself - so the fault was not mine .I have never had this problem with any key before. Extremely disappointed in the service dept at the Toyota dealership that they don't warrant their faulty key.
Purchased in March 2019.

Good practical design inside out
We mainly use this car for family vehicle is beautifully design with immense sense of practicality. ride is super smooth if runs on premium unleaded engine is so quite however 8 speed gearbox needs bit improvement shifting is not as seamless as the previous 6 speed gearbox but it still helps you save on fuel , it also makes you feel that car is being driven in big gear at low speed with low revs.

Toyota Kruger 2017
I Never ever would of thought I would of bought a Kluger!
But I Love Love Love it, it’s so smooth to drive there is so much room for the kids I the back and I can fit nearly everything in the car because all the seats lie flat!
I highly Recommend this car to everyone with a Family!
Great spacious, reliable family car
We purchased our 2016 model Kluger in December 2017 from a used car dealer. The car was in pristine condition mechanically with no exterior damage. Many people recommended Toyota Kluger to us which was probably the deciding factor in purchasing this model. They were not wrong. Firstly, as a mum or two I really love the boot space the Kluger provides. I have had sedans previously and always found space an issue. Seating inside the Kluger is spacious and we can sit 5 comfortably in the front and rear seats. Although this model boasts seating for ...7 I personally find the additional two fold away seats a waste of time. Getting into them is extremely difficult unless you were a child and safety wise I would never put my children in these seats. Therefore, if you are planning on purchasing a 7 seater, I would consider a larger people mover instead. We however did not purchase the kluger for the additional seating, so my 5 star rating stands. Mechanically the Kluger is very reliable. It costs around $100 to fuel with premium unleaded but I can say that I get excellent mileage from this, despite travelling everywhere from multiple school pick ups to the Gold Coast etc. It is lovely to drive, with light steering and the rear reversing monitor on the dash is extremely helpful, not to mention a necessary safety feature for such a large vehicle. The turning circle is quite manageable, making parking or u-turns easy. Registration, insurance and servicing costs are reasonable also.We will most definitely be purchasing one of these again in the future.
I bought this card in March 2018 and it drives like a treat, it doesn't sit ridiculously high like some SUVs so my wife can easily move our baby in and out of the back seat. It has grunt when needed but if you're happy to drive gently the economy is very good (around 10L/100km on avg).
OK, Could be better
Front wheel drive with power, not good, hang on tight accelerating on rough road. Speed o out by 7km. Radio loses stations when battery disconnected. I would prefer the ride a bit softer, gets annoying on bad roads and we have plenty. Head rests are terrible, bent forward, hitting the back of your head on bad roads. A boy racer must have designed it. The rest good.
Bought my burgundy GX new 18 months ago. One of the most versatile, quiet cars I have ever owned. Lots of power for safe overtaking. Likes a drink though - 14L/100 km in town, but good on open road - best ever was 7.4L/100 on highway. Much nicer to drive than the Camry it's based on.
Awesome car love it
I bought 4x2 GX and loved it. Got plenty of torque and runs smooth. Plenty of space in the back row. Last row seat only good for short distance if occupied by adults. Huge boot and once you lay the seat down there is ton of space. Bit thirsty on fuel in city 14l/100kms but quiet good n long drives8-9l/100kms
Drive very smoothly, style is superb , very spacious and torque is strong , safety is great . Price is reasonable. Dashboard is stylish . Cap service is additional bonus . Fuel consumption to the best . Suspension is smooth . Steering wheel is to the max . Love the car !
Excellent 2yrs review so a liittle bit long
purchased gx 2wd in 2015 for my wife.the looks was clincher to buy and huge centre armrest storage to put things in.did look at c9 but resale not as good as toyota. and we change our cars every few years.great price range 7 seater. highly reccomend if you dont want odyssey or people mover. one main reason we bought it cos its easier to park on curbs on school run due to ground clearance, and we do the odd long distance driving. suberb highway cruiser. un real overtaking road trains. ive had a clubsport r8 previously so i know wot im talking abo...ut. the rolling 80km- 120km to overtake safely is unreal with this car.super quite .lots of room. even third row is excellent for kids and small adults. And can fold in two so flexibiltiy is great if u hav 6 in the car and need space for pram and shopping. even has cup holder and aircon vents there. really do like the open storage space under the dash. very handy with 3 kids in car.done 30,0000KM. averaging 10-11l per 100km on regular unleaded.(real world driving) including giving it a bit of stick every now and then.managed to get to kattanning from baldivis on one full tank regular unleaded.(550KM). also very easy to park with camera and sensors standard. capped price servicing is cheap $180 every 6 months for 3yrs. i also have a pajero diesel 2012. cannot compare the two with driveabilty and comfort space aswell.. only better because the pajero can go off road. ive looked at two year old 2015 kluger online. still holding its value. the only negative is i prefer cupholders on the dash area similar to t31 xtrail and stereo. my pajero has a rockford fosgate speaker system with subwoofer stock.but thats being really picky, but the bluetooth audio and 6 speaker system is fine. reliabilty wise no problems so far. nothing broken yet. quality seems excellent. and remember i have 3 kids who play with all the buttons in the car. but have been told to service on time regardless of kms by toyota ,the motors can sludge. i do like to change my cars often due to boredom but looks like this will be in the garage for a couple more years at least. these positive comments ive given is related to the price of the vehicle and value for money that suits my needs. family of 5 with 3 kids under 10.if u need a 7 seater and dont want a odyssey or tarago.get the kluger. yes fuel consumption i a liitle bit higher. but if u d a bit of long distance driving like us. u wont regret it it!!! yes there are better euro cars but are twice the price. if money isnt a problem buy new a range rover.

Big size family car
Very good car, from the day we got this we haven't had any issues and never felt like of chose the wrong one. Adjustable seats is very comfortable specially when you travel for long distance. Rear seats are not so bad compare with others in the market around same pricing. Only bit of trouble we always have is parking when we go to shopping centre with narrow parking spaces.
Best car I have owned because it is my first NEW car!
Great family mover that is spacious enough and extremely comfortable!
It does use abit more fuel that I hoped averaging about 12-13L per 100km for city driving, highway driving is great at 9L per 100km.
So far the only issue I had was a flat battery after 13 months which when I took it to Toyota they just told me it needed a charge, it then went flat twice and they only cover 50% after a year so I took it elsewhere to have it changed!
Oh what a feeling
After having 2 Nissan x trails over the past 10 years, I thought time to get something with a bit of power and I wanted a 7 seater. Originally I was holding out for the new Mazda CX-9 but after I found out the pricing I couldn't justify spending $10k more on it. This car is an absolute pleasure to drive it runs so smoothly, and it has balls when you need it. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of room. Even with all seats up you still have a but if room in the back to put groceries. At first it took a while to get use to the visibili...ty in the rear, I think that's because the xtrail back window was low, it is a big car and it did take me a while to get use to reverse parking it. The one thing is that beeping sensor when reversing has stopped which is annoying as I did end up relying on this a bit, so have to take it back to Toyota. Also, I wish I did get was front sensors, I unfortunately have done a scrape due to error in judgement ahhh!! Also my little gripe is the cup holders they are so big that when I have my coffee in it and go around the corner it spills. The xtrail had the best cup holders which I do miss, besides that a great all round car. I got the car in white and asked for extra dark tinting it looks awesome. Running costs aren't too bad for a V6 car, we go through one full tank a week. And that's us driving it each day, We purchased from Castle Hill Toyota and were happy with the service, no hard sell, even when it came to the extras.
WOW - What a car!
This is just like - wow. I never thought I would have an SUV, but due to my spouses disability we needed one. It has exceeded my expectations of what luxury you can have in a SUV.
It is so quiet and room - it is like a lounge room in the back. But does expand to 7 seats, if needed.
A very nice car, 2WD model can get away from you
A very well equipped vehicle, a pleasure to drive and be driven in.
The 7 seat capacity with air-con controls in the rear for your family will please all, and as normal Toyota always seem to make the coldest air conditioning of all the car manufactures (I think!)
The only issue I have with my base model GX 2WD is the power going into the front 2 drive wheels can make it a bit of a handful if you push it hard, use caution when going to over take a slow moving vehicle and building your speed up quickly.
All up, well priced servicing (10K) Fuel good around 9.9l per 100k for 2wd
