TP-Link AC1200 Archer C54

Poor quality control – My existing router was supposed to be faulty and so I bought this TP Link unit. I needed lengthy assistance to configure the router as the instructions provided were not working. Then I tried to attach a wifi extender to assist monitor a solar inverter which was about 20 metres from the router. After days of going through the connection instructions, I conceeded and phoned the extender company for help. Again hours and days of trying failed. Finally I phoned the TP Link support who eventually said the recently purchased Archer C54 unit, was faulty and they will authorise a replacement to be collected by me. I am not young and have wasted probably 5 days trying every way to get a poor quality item to work. Fingers crossed when I try the replacement unit.
Great, speedy help – Mona was very helpful, nice speedy service. Highly recommend, definitely recommend
Thank you for your feedback and for choosing TP-Link!
This is very good – I had trouble setting this up, but I dealt with Doris on the live chat, and they made the process very east and quick. I'm very happy

Great improvement – We were using the 'Technicolor' router supplied by iiNet four years ago, but it could not cope with HD sports transmissions without a lot of buffering - often at critical points of the sport broadcast. Changeover o C54 solved the problem. It required contacting Tp-Link for the specific detailed settings, but the Tp-Link assistant was very knowledgeable and it was quickly completed.

UPDATE AUGUST 1, 2024. My router issues were identified by Exetel, the company providing my internet service. I obtained the replacement router and had the same issues not receiving internet. The TP Link router is NOT the problem. Spent two weeks daily with Exetel support with no internet. Finally gave up with Exetel and transferred to Leaptel. Arrange the changeover one afternoon and by the next morning had internet up and running. NB do NOT try Exetel to supply internet service. They have the most uneducated support people and blame everyone and everything else for their deficiencies.
