Whilst the operator assisted well with my query, I recommend Jazlyn to work on her speaking and listening technique.

Fantastic and friendly – Cassiel was very helpful in getting my re305 internet extender reconnected to a new modem and internet plan and password. I struggled to do it by myself and Cassiel helped me sort it out in minutes

Amazing Mesh Wi-fi Extender, that fixed my Ring Doorbell poor wi-fi connection – I own a Ring Doorbell 1st gen 720P battery operated model. It suffers from a poor wi-fi connection, with poor delayed video and is around 25 metres from the router in the rear bedroom. I have a single story house, and is 25 metres from my tp-link Archer Vr400 modem to the front door, where my Ring Doorbell is located. I have several N300 tp-link wi-fi extenders in the home, that will not extend the wi-fi signal to the front door successfully, but the new tp-link AC1200 mesh wi-fi extender does it effortlessly.

Setup: In Android, download the Tether app, to setup the wi-fi connection and you may need to enter your router password. The setting for the Ring Doorbell needs to be 2.4GHz, as this is the only one supported by Ring. The mesh extender, needs to be positioned around the middle of your home away from the modem location. Press the one touch WPS button located on the AC100, for instant connection. In my case all 4 blue LED lights are operating. (Refer photo)

Pros: * Small compact design * Easy setup * Low cost * Very reliable stable mesh network connection

Cons: * Only available in white colour

Conclusion: This is the least expensive, best performing mesh wi-fi extender you can currently buy and my purchase was AU$79, available at Australia Post Shop.

Purchased in for $79.

The TP Link RE305 does not mesh with any router as claimed – I wanted a new wifi access point to mesh with my existing Linksys router. I bought a TP Link RE305 because it says on the box “Mesh Wifi Extender” and “Works with ANY WIFI ROUTER”. I discussed my mesh requirement and existing equipment with the technical sales rep at Officeworks. He confirmed after reading the box that it should mesh with my Linksys router.

After installing and configuring the RE305, I discovered that it would only extend my existing wifi, not mesh with it. The documentation in the box said it would only mesh with TP Link routers.

To their credit, Officeworks will allow me to return the RE305 and get a full refund. But TP Link continues to use false and misleading advertising to sell the RE305.

Based on TP Link’s poor standards of honesty and integrity, this is the first and last time I will buy a TP Link product.

Purchased in at Officeworks.

Hi, this product does in fact work with any Wi-Fi router as an extender, this is correct. To form a mesh network you will need to use a TP-Link OneMesh enabled router. Thank you.

This is not what it says on the box, and even the in-house Officeworks technician said it should work. So clearly the information on the box is misleading at best, deceptive at worst.
