signal strength and coverage. The device can be plugged directly into a power outlet, saving space and ensuring discreet placement.
Performance and Coverage: The main purpose of the AC750 Range Extender is to extend the coverage of your existing Wi-Fi network, particularly in areas with poor signal strength or dead zones. The extender typically performs well in this regard, offering a noticeable improvement in coverage. The dual-band capability allows for better distribution of devices, as you can connect devices that require higher bandwidth to the 5GHz band, while the 2.4GHz band can handle lighter tasks.
Easy Setup: TP-Link is known for its user-friendly setup processes, and the AC750 Range Extender is no exception. Most models offer a web-based setup wizard that guides you through the process of connecting to your existing Wi-Fi network and extending its coverage. Additionally, some models support WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) for quick and secure connection.
Value for Money: The AC750 Mesh Wi-Fi Range Extender provides good value for its price, especially for those dealing with Wi-Fi dead zones or weak signals in certain areas of their homes or offices. It's a cost-effective solution to improve connectivity without the need for extensive network setup or expensive equipment.
Mesh Capability: Some models of the AC750 Range Extender support TP-Link's OneMesh technology, which allows the extender to work in conjunction with compatible TP-Link routers to create a mesh network. This technology can further enhance the coverage and overall performance of your Wi-Fi network.
Final Verdict: The TP-Link AC750 Mesh Wi-Fi Range Extender is a valuable tool for improving Wi-Fi coverage in your home or office. It offers reliable performance, easy setup, and the potential for mesh networking through TP-Link's OneMesh technology. While it might not be suitable for users with advanced networking needs or those seeking the highest speeds, it provides a cost-effective solution to extend the reach of your existing Wi-Fi network. If you're looking to eliminate Wi-Fi dead zones and improve connectivity without breaking the bank, the AC750 Range Extender offers good value for your money.
Great performance – I bought this for $59 from Harvey Norman. Set up was easy once I installed the Tether app on my mobile phone. The extender is compact which is an advantage and provides very fast wifi speeds. It is also compatible with older devices. I also like that you can program it to turn off and on. Show details · 1
Great modem and even better service from Natasha – I bought my VR300 V2 off Amazon and was given great help by Natasha to set it up. Couldn't ask for better service. Show details
worth buying – easy to set up and does the job very well! Show reply
Really happy with the product and service – Rita was very helpful right from the start and guided me to set up the repeater as I wanted (without a new network) i.e. keeping the network same a d not creating the new network. Really happy with the whole experience... Show details
Can't turn off the internal DHCP – While I'm sure this is a good product for simple usage cases, the fact that you can't turn of the internal DHCP is ridiculous. I tried to use it as an Access Point and I already have a DHCP server on my network. This kills the network. Show details
Great Job – Very happy with this Device, It Really Did Fix the problems I Had with Live Stream, Took me a Couple of goes to set up, but I put that down to age, Show details
Simple and works – Easy to set up if you are not illiterate. Comes with an A3 poster showing how to set the device up two different ways. Simple, cost effective and it seems to work. Could have spent a lot more than $79 for similar results. Overall - Happy Show details

The TP-Link AC750 Range Extender does exactly that – I was looking for a range extender that was compact, relatively fast, easy to setup and didn't cost the earth when I found the TP-Link AC750 extender. At around $85, it's not the cheapest on the market (and definitely not the most expensive) and not even the fastest, but it works and does it well. For the most part, people will use this to extend… Read more
a signal to use with phones or streaming devices - which it does well. You wouldn't need anything more than a speed of 15 MB/s (the unit could theoretically do up to 75 MB/s transfer - reality about 40 MB/s). If you want to move files around fast, I wouldn't recommend this unit, I'd still be using a Gigabit LAN connection.
The unit is fairly compact and can be unobtrusively plugged straight into a standard power point with room for another plug beside it in a double power point. Setup is relatively easy using the WPS of your modem to connect and setup or log into the unit itself and setup manually via the web app. The range extender will extend dual bands (300Mbps 2.4GHz + 433Mbps 5GHz), however you can also set it up in what they call High Speed Mode to use one band to extend and connect on the opposite band. As the unit has one processor for each band, it's twice as fast when you run it this way (although limited to the bands maximum through put). As I wanted to use an iphone with this, the unit connects with my modem (Netgear) on the 2.4Ghz band (so I get more range) and I connect to the unit on 5GHz. It's also got an Ethernet (10/100 port at the bottom for Ethernet connections. Apps are snappy and streaming works pretty well. One of the built in features is it utilises three internal antennas and a signal strength meter (dual coloured LED per band). Green if you have good signal, red if it's bad - however connection seem to work fine even when red. If you log into the web app it will give you an actual connection strength percentage (for me 20% signal at 20m with doors closed - increases when doors are open on 2.4GHz band).
I generally find with the web app you have to use the IP address the unit connects on as the http://tplinkrepeater.net doesn't work if you're not directly connected to the unit itself (i.e. if you're connected to it through your main router). However it's fairly straight forward and lots of settings to play around with. You are able to upgrade the firmware, however it doesn't check automatically and you have to download manually to upgrade. You can turn the LEDs on or off to conserve power (uses about 6.5W), has DHCP setting (however I doubt you would want to assign individual IP addresses to devices on the extender). Comes with a 3 year warranty, although I've never had to use it generally for TP-Link gear as it just works.
If you're after a nice compact extender that's easy to setup and doesn't cost the earth, give this one a go.
