This router works brilliantly for our FTTB/N NBN connection. I added a pair of Deco E4 units for mesh coverage of the upstairs, and I'm very happy. Customer service from TP-Link has also been fantastic, with quick email responses and excellent advice. I'd recommend these and TP-Link to anyone. Show details

Great product – Not only is this a great product and fills my home with great reception in all rooms, but it's backed up by great technical support. After some very bad advice from my internet provider technicians recently, I lost all my set up settings and internet service. However a friendly Tp-Link Technician came to the rescue! They politely and… Read more ·  1

methodically guided me through the reset and back to full service. Not only were they extremely helpful, but they were also extremely patient (I am no IT genius!). Thank you!!!!

An excellent outcome and wonderful service by Aurelia Kuang. Thank you, Aurelia! – Aurelia has very clear articulation and was very easily understood. She was very patient with listening and giving instructions. She has a thorough knowledge of procedures and was quickly able to assess and find problems. It was a stressless process for me which was helped by Aurelia's politeness and sense of humour. I felt I was given very personal assistance and would highly recommend Aurelia's overall work ethic. 11 out of 10

Great all in one – I currently have or had a X20 2 pack mesh with a sepperate DSL modem as a bridge. Unfortunately due to a storm my DSL modem died. I purchased this X20-DSL to replace my dead modem and main (still working) x20 unit to have it all in one. All settings controled in the mobile app. You can view settings and make minor changes on browser log in. Sync… Read more

speeds are decent on my 100/40 plan as pictured. My old bridge modem (ZTE H1600 Superloop) did get 2meg faster download in speed tests thus far but im happy to live with that with the ease of one less unit. Pings remain the same and is fine for my heavy gaming and work use. I dont pay for homeshield as dont see the value. 30 devices plus connected as pictured with no issues.

Garbage – Unit would not achieve FTTN download speeds greater than 72Mbps no matter what steps were taken as advised by Manufacturer. User configurability is VERY basic/limited and tech support is lacking at best. Steer clear of this product if you require a reliable/consistent NBN connection and/or knowledgeable tech support. Show details

Disappointing, expensive and poorly supported – Purchased 2 pack version 24/9/22 for home use with Exetel 100/20 FTTN service, replacing an old iiNet TG789vac V2 modem/router. Whilst the initial setup was relatively straightforward and automated, the Deco App required to configure the unit lacks the ability to configure basic common functions whilst focusing more on paid “upgradeable” TP-Link… Read more

options such as TP-Link’s ‘Homeshield Pro’ offering.

The main Deco X20-DSL unit consistently fails to achieve download speeds any greater than 71 Mbps regardless of all the TP-Link tech support troubleshooting suggestions which is far less than the 92-98 Mbps download speeds consistently achieved by the TG789. These results are the same for both WiFi and Ethernet connected devices and yes, the latest “(EU)” titled firmware has been applied.

The system logs offer no clear cause or solution, quite the opposite with the many initial log entries showing “1970” time stamps and heading titles such as “Critical” misspelled, reflecting a poorly implemented support effort.

These issues have been raised with TP-Link tech support today and if no satisfactory resolution is provided within 72hours, this purchase will be returned to the retailer for a full refund with no further consideration to be given to any future TP-Link product purchases.
