I did have problems initially with older devices and printers (we have 2) in the end I created a 5mhz and a 2mhz network. This solved all the problems, the printers connected to the 2mhz network and older devices while the new devices run on 160mhz wide channel that I was able to set away from all the neighbours (and we have about 20 competing networks) so we now have lightning fast wifi 6 running as fast as it can I believe. The TP-Link Archer AX72 has been a disappointment. My connected devices intermittently loose internet access using both the 2.4g and 5g connections. Very frustrating. TP-Link support has not been any help as all they ask is to repower the router and cannot / will not help with the ongoing problem even in the warranty period. Do not purchase this device. Not for smart devices – The TP-Link Archer AX73 advertises impressive capabilities, claiming support for up to 200 devices. However, in my experience, it struggles with smart home systems. Despite having only around 30 smart lights, 3 Google Homes, a hub, CCTV, and central air conditioning connected, the lights experienced significant lag. This makes it unsuitable for a… Read more
robust smart home setup.
On the other hand, its performance for gaming and other high-bandwidth activities might still be strong, but as a solution for managing a seamless smart home, it falls short of expectations.
Avoid TP-Link AX72 at All Costs – Terrible Experience! – Avoid TP-Link AX72 at All Costs – Terrible Experience! I am beyond frustrated with the TP-Link AX72. This router is a complete disappointment. Despite having a high-speed internet connection, the AX72 slashed my Wi-Fi speed by over 200 Mbps! I hired an IT professional to help, but even with their expertise, the router’s performance was shockingly… Read more
bad.
To make matters worse, TP-Link’s customer service was completely unhelpful. They made me jump through endless hoops, but nothing resolved the issue. It’s clear this router is either a flawed product or just plain poor quality.
Save yourself the headache – don’t waste your money on TP-Link. I’m done with this brand, and you should be too!
This version is concise yet strong in its message, effectively conveying your dissatisfaction to potential buyers.
Help website inadequate, support staff excellent – After an initial setup using the app and help docs, things worked but there were issues related to our network. The help docs were inadequate and the chat support was going nowhere so I called and talked Aurelia who was amazing - thank you. Like… Read more · 1
many tech websites, if you don't know the exact search terms, the site isn't that helpful even if you know what you want. Despite my initial frustration, Aurelia was patient and knowledgeable, and helped setup the router, the range extender, our custom IP address pool and devices with static IPs.
Although it's tempting to use the Tether App, you're better-off doing everything from a browser as you get full access to all the advanced features.
Thanks Aurelia, things have been working great since the full setup.
Follow-up · Two year long-term review. Once setup, the good experience with this TP-link router inspired me to switch everything over to TP-Link. The app, management of the hardware and ultimately the reliability, has been right up there with Apple hardware in my experience (I'm sure privacy isn't but that's another matter).
Outstanding! Even works through concrete walls – Excellent value for money, easy to set up and has better coverage than my old DLink. I was very worried if this router would work at all. I live in a rural area of Australia so need to use Skymesh satellite. In the past I had to buy satellite specific routers. This time I decided to get the best router I could afford. After 10 hours of study this… Read more · 2
one suited best. To top it off my home is concrete. Internal and external walls are all double thick concrete. Range extenders have never been of any help in the past but I also decided to buy the TP Link RE700X Range Extender. My whole home is now covered by the router and the extender. I could not be happier with these products and highly recommend them both. Cost a total of $389.00 for both.
Excellent Support – I called into the TP-Link hotline when I faced some issues with my router. Mona Shan was extremely patient and resourceful when assisting me with the troubleshooting. The problem was eventually fixed. Super grateful! Show reply
Excellent speeds & stability – Bought this from Officeworks as my old Dlink failed. In a massive 5 bedroom house coverage was excellent across 26metres plus access outside. Set up was easy with the app & it was working in well under 30mins. Stability has been exceptional. In our new house we are now hitting 167 speed, after 64's in the old house on an ancient connection.… Read more · 1
Thoroughly recommend this model if you want a solid connection across 4 heavy users. Speed has been constant for all of us.

Very good product – I was experiencing drop outs on an old netcomm router, ISP MintTelecom advised to buy a new router (advised Tp link). I contacted Tp link support to ask questions (great customer service). I purchased an AX73 and found it so easy to set up (which I was worried about). The coverage and strength I am receiving is great and no drop outs as previous. Easily recommended product Show details
